the dasung paperlike pro monitor worked for me for five years. After this period, problems began with updating the screen, artifacts. dasun support is very poor, nothing responds to email and facebook. Other workshops do not undertake repairs due to the lack of components. Thus, you get a monitor for 1748$ disposable. Planned to buy dasung 25.3', but now I bought ips

I am hoping this type of technology becomes more common. I was an avid Pebble watch user, which sold me on the battery life and simplicity of forms of transflective screens
As a screen type they do the job best in a number of use cases (but maybe not most gaming or video)

This is great!! This should be the primary purpose of E-INK. This will be great for CODING and engineering work. I just hope they keep the variable frame rate options. Faster frame rates do not always mean comfort, especially for people with brain injuries, migraine, anxiety, etc.

@@DasungTech Already signed up, But 25 inch is too small and 32 inch screen is too big for work, I would really prefer 27inch size eink display please 🙏🙏🙏🙏, besides, 27in is the largest selling screen category in IPS!

With this color monitor, I can actually put 99% of my with in this monitor, which is incredible
@@Bdavis2475 how so? if you're staring at LCD monitor for over 8 hours, you may don't even notice how your nerves and eyes become fatigued and depressed, this is life changing because it's almost the same as to look at real picture without backlight, so yeah it's a life changing, with this you can do anything you want longer time.
In 10 years hopefully the price will allow most school to switch completely to digital. Lcd, oled etc created a generation of astigmat and should be used by childrens.

Yes, 2 versions, with or without frontlight. The frontlight can be turned off completely and the brightness is adjustable.

大上还是敢整大活的，我为在微博多次喷你们只会造遥控器表示歉意（当然你们已经把我拉黑了），希望能来个无前光版本，虽然K3屏很暗，但无光完全可用，减掉前光层应该还能增加些亮度。
什么叫遥控器？不过我买这个产品，它的所有缺点我都能忍了，就是因为它不伤眼，我还怕它倒闭了，毕竟小众产品

To mitigate the ghosting effect during window transitions, it may be necessary to reduce color intensity, resulting in a potentially subdued visual experience due to the diminished definition. Indeed, for static displays akin to the pace of reading a book page, the monitor could provide high-definition colors. However, it's important to note that seamless video viewing might still be challenging, unless you're amenable to significantly desaturated colors.

@@negochristian1 My Boox Ultra type C has some pretty good damn video tbh
It will work outdoors, and any normal TFT, OLED or LCD panel even with high nits will suffer even more in sunlight so I'm not so concerned about desaturation. I already use a mono e-ink for outdoor working, and I am hopeful that this new Dasung will improve it more.
The display shown in the video does appear to have washed out colours. The development of E-Ink displays has been underway for quite some time. Obviously there is more improvement required but it is encouraging to see larger E-ink desktop displays become available.

I've got the BOOX Mira Pro, and while it is definitely an e-ink and much slower than a normal panel, it's nowhere near as bad as most people think.

@@irakli.asatiani I used it for coding, the biggest annoyance was not seeing proper syntax highlighting, which this should fix. Mouse usage is slower due to lower refresh rate so you might want to make sure you know more keyboard shortcuts in your IDE. Then yes, it's fine.
