If you're moving to Maryland, and considering Montgomery County, then you'll want to check out North Bethesda -- or Rockville, MD is some still call it.
North Bethesda provides quick access to Bethesda and Washington DC and an enormous variety of restaurants, grocery stores, and shopping.
If you're moving to the Montgomery County area, there's perhaps no better location than North Bethesda for quick access to so many things.
Nowhere else in the county or the state can you find a Whole Foods, Trader joe's, My Organic Market, Harris Teeter, Safeway, and Giant food store all within one mile of each other. There's also a Russian Gourmet store, and a few other specialty markets.
And it's no wonder the North Bethesda real estate market is hot.
The Pike and Rose development transformed into one of the more popular locations in the area. There's a luxury movie theater, and a multitude of restaurants, and even a dog park where you can enjoy coffee in adult beverages. Of course there's also a Starbucks. And there's a Pinstripes bowling alley. And let's not forget the Strathmore Music & Arts Center -- where you can watch world class musicians and artists perform in a beautiful setting.
North Bethesda also has numerous condo buildings that are walkable to all of these amenities. The newest is the 930 Rose condos that sits on top of the Canopy Hotel.
North Bethesda townhomes are nestled in and around Tuckerman Lane and Edson Lane primarily -- with a scattering of others nearby.
There are also some single family homes in the 20852 zip code -- with a some walkable to Whole Foods.
North Bethesda also has a red line metro stop at White Flint. The old White Flint Mall will eventually be renovated into a mixed use community most likely. For now, it sits vacant, but it's too valuable a piece of real estate to sit there forever unused.
