  • In this video I demonstrate how I made my scarecrow out of a plastic pumpkin and PVC.
    What you'll need:
    PVC pipe fittings (4-6 90s, 4-6 45s, 1 T, 1 cross)
30 feet of 1 inch PVC
    Other connectors as needed
    2 plumbing flanges (optional)
    Flat black paint
    Zip ties
LED Theater Light for lighting up the pumpkin:

It looks great! The swamp lights add a really cool effect in the background.

Good stuff! I tried out those theater LEDs this year and used them for six of the pumpkins in my yard. Even made a tutorial for putting them together!

I'm attempting to use a real pumpkin this year, figured I could shave it down thin inside to help with the weight. Haha wish me luck.

Well that turned out great! I attempted one last year but kept falling over. So I trashed it. I think I needed the rebar instead of just pounding PVC into the ground.

Did you use a battery to power the pumpkin light or did you DIY it to be an AC electrical source?
