Jake is one of the best interviewers / questioners around in any genre. I listen to a lot of podcasts, a lot of speaking, and no doubt hes one of the best. I don't know shit about him or his background, i only get to watch little clips on RUclips when i'm watching the football pundits go at it.. and this podcast, but i'm so impressed with the way he speaks and how fast his mind is. I love listening to people that are on another level. I'm a fan.

I like him very much but I would respectfully disagree that he is one of the best interviewers.
Thats because after he asks a question he often gives an example of the answer before they speak eg “what was the most difficult hurdle you had to beat? Was it that you had to believe in yourself?”
which leads the interviewee towards a certain answer. If he just asked the simple question I think he would get a wider variety of answers
He’s creating a great series here though

This is a top class interview. Key takeaway -- High Performance: The non excuse mindset, full accountability. Doing the same things over and over again.

This is my favourite interview to date (I've still got a little bit of catching up to do) but Reece speaks so true, so honest and puts a different persepective on a lot of things.

Really intelligent fellow Reece. Quite impressed actually. The authenticity oozes of him so smoothly and you can tell he is speaking truthfully from his learnt experience, his trials and tribulations. Thanks once again, the performance podcast.

Fair enough he's done well with his fashion brand (though no doubt having access to PL footballers presented an advantage) but to describe his football career as high performance is a bit much. Anybody listening to this will hear how he reached the top for a short period and then declined all the way to pay for play - this is not high performance at all. Interview him for his business, sure, but not his football.

Am I the only that never had heard about his brand ? And I’m quite into clothes…
He claims £30M of turnover a year, with his average price at £80 by clothe, it’s almost 400 000 unities sold… Quite huge for an absolut unknown brand that nobody ever heard about before.
    Fake ?

    • @BMJYDK

Football isn't all about loving the game, some footballers have come out and said it's a job to them and that's what it is, a job.
Would you rather leave when you know you're not in the right mindset to succeed or your options are limited, or get stuck on that slippery slope downwards until you fade into obscurity where nobody cares.
      Kudos to this guy.

if he was not an ex-footballer with the contacts that he has would his brand have been as successful. If a pl footballer is wearing and promoting his clothing brand, that in itself that is free advertising to the nth degree. He has done really well for sure but it is down to his black book. There a many better clothing brands doing better things, FACT!
