So much of what Kasper has said resonates. As a former Goalkeeper, if you make a save youre a legend, but you make a tiny mistake, or even as Kasper explained with the Palace game you suffer conceding a goal from a tiny deflection youre a 0. Being a Goalie is a lonely experience and even more so if a mistake you make leads to a loss.

Hey lads & the whole crew behind HPP. I am not a big podcast listener but having just gone through some fairly serious professional upheaval I found myself with more time on my hands and wanted to dedicate myself to self improvement. It's hard to put into words the impression your pod has had on me: whether it be recognising that the worlds most successful people suffer from doubts & anxieties; whether it be understanding the tools & tactics they use to rise up out of adversity; and particularly, obtaining new ways to look at myself and the role that all of the different parts of my life play in producing happiness & fulfilment. For real, this pod gives me life and I just want to say thank you for producing it. Honestly world class stuff.

The goalkeeping coach he mentions is Lars Høgh. He has the game record in the Danish top league with 819 appearances for Odense Boldklub. He was in the national team in the 80’s and would have had more than 100 games probably if not for Kasper’s dad. He is universally loved among Danish football fans and he died last year not long after the EUROs. RIP Lars Høgh.

Loved the focused attitude to the things you control versus the things you can't and have the ability to recognise them. As an ICU nurse is see the world of mm's every day in relation to the patients we look after and the consequence has never been higher. Listening to Kasper made me realise that high performance happens on so many levels and the nurses and Dr's battling Covid maintain that focus while under a spotlight never seen before. Love the series, keep up the amazing work..

Amazing interview! Kasper is so grounded. I love the talk about EGO, we view ego as something bad but Kasper shows exactly what it means, Ego: a person's sense of self-esteem or self-importance, and that's what Kasper portraits, his confidence and awareness is exemplar. I love when he says "I don't need the validation", he learns from his mistakes and constructively improhe is above, I am jealous of how genuine he is and how mindful, honest he is about himself and his job. Thank you Jake Humphrey and Professor Damian Hughes your questions and insights are spot on.

Standard and good advice for reaching one’s goal is to work as hard as you can, prepare as much as you can and then get out there to make it happen. So, it seems a sobering reality that sometimes “I can only do what comes to me” yet it often rings true. Brilliant podcast reflecting insight and emotional maturity. It left me with much to think about both inside and outside the world of football. Thanks Jake, Damian and Kasper.

I know it must be hard working in such a corporate environment to doing a podcast like this but I think it would really help ease of listening imo.

Kasper might not care about clean sheets but it's an extra 4 FPL points for me every week when he gets one! ;)
I honestly think he's the most underrated premier league goalkeeper of all time and there's been a fair few of those over the years (Friedel and Schwarzer to name just two). He's always suffered from the "Baby Kasper" tag and he even addressed it at the end there, people still don't see him as a man in his own right and for some reason the Schmeichel name is still synonymous with Peter and not Kasper.
He's, for me, one of the three best goalkeepers in the league right now alongside the Brazilians at Citeh and Liverpool. I always thought it was a travesty that he was never scooped up by one of the more traditionally thought of "big sides" but given his love and affinity with Leicester which he speaks so profoundly about, I'm not surprised he's stayed.
