Quite the game. When the Braves tied it in the 9th, many seemed to think it was gonna be a fait accompli- another Braves pennant, an ATL-TOR rematch. Then Lemke just missed a game-winner (THAT is a postseason what-if). Crazy to think how close we came to Dykstra not even getting a chance in extra innings.
You, Braves fans deserved more than just one ring in the 90's. But Bobby Cox routinely made boneheaded calls in the postseason & cost you guys games. Who in their right mind has one guy bunt twice in a Postseason game & two different guys bunt in the late innings of the same Postseason game? Especially when one of the guys who bunted (Ron Gant) could hit with power?

so close down the left field line and how big was daultons home run in the 9th.
@@joemamma416 this was as close as we have come to a World Series rematch since 1977-1978 NYY-LAD

I’ll never forget how hard my heart was pounding in that 9th inning. Mitch was brutal to watch sometimes.
seems like only yesterday. i remember where i was for every game in this post season. this one almost killed me in the ninth.
Thirty years later and the Braves still can’t beat the Phillies in the post season.
