I love your demos you are such a skilled pilot and the details are very informative. Also your wife is the best camera person. Keep up the good RC stuff.
Loved your review and unboxing of this model. As a full sized pilot I fly one of these and just wanted this model. I did choose the nicer Spektrum receiver to add SAFE and AS3X, and will look forward to flying this model. Thanks for your BPRC link which I used.
Saw this debut in my email yesterday and was on the fence. I listened to you when you told me to "get off the fence and buy one!" Ordered through your link because you guys put out awesome content! Keep up the good work, we appreciate it!
Had a bad exp with helicopters, told the Mrs no more RC. Then, I show her this beauty...insert eye roll and head shake...However, I've never flown planes so this looks like it could be a fantastic trainer and to keep for a long time.
Nice demo, nice model. I have the FMS 2000 Beaver to build soon. . By the way, they are called "static discharge wicks". I've seen scary St. Elmo's fire, electrical discharge dancing around the cockpit windows, say at 370 at night.
Beautiful. I have always liked the look of the 182. This one looks and flies great. I have the earlier Sky Trainer, but it is getting worn out. This will be a great replacement.
1000000%...it's so good. You're gonna love it. Thing flies EXACTLY like you think it will, plenty of power when you need it, but not "fakey" amounts of power. Had my son flying it and he did good too with it...but I was still nervous, since this is "my type" of plane...LOVE IT! bprc.me/FMS_Cessna182
I highly suggest going with a perrenial rye over seed and let that take over the yard, then level it off nice and smooth with peatmoss and sand.. then you can cut your lawn nice and short like a golf course green and it'll be smooth and durable, even in full sun, high traffic.
That would be amazing! Would love it to be smooth as butter for the full scale planes, but wonder how that'd work for grass hay harvest. We currently harvest all the property, less the house, driveway(s), pond, sand filter, tree lines for alfalfa or grass hay.
@BrianPhillipsRC there is a calculator out there, that grass is what they use on PGA golf courses and I planted it over my thinning out Kentucky blue grass. As long as you mow it at short to medium height, the blades feel like a fine carpet.all golf courses use sand for leveling and compaction. Even if you just did it near the edges of the driveway and the front lawn, it will make even EDF jets have a chance at surviving a grass ops
You can start with over seeding and then after it starts to germinate and get about 2" tall, then start leveling with the mix, it will grow thru and start spreading to fill in nicely.
It is very good! Just was flying it this evening again, and got something like 20 minutes of takeoffs and landings on 67% charge on a 3200mAh 4S 50C spektrum pack. I DID hit low voltage protection, fyi, so might want to be careful about that ;)
wow that is a beautiful plane.. and being able to fly on your own property is really nice. I have been flying the Eflite Maule for 5 seasons, I think this will replace that one which is beat up a bit. Battery replacement is a pain on the Maule, this looks great.
I normally don't care much for high wing stuff but this one looks pretty sweet with all the scale details which I am a fan of. I'm actually considering getting one which is crazy for me haha.
Great video! I really like this one! I really wanted the umx Cessna and never got one, so now I hope to get one of these which would be even better than a umx.
The UMX Cessna is a great plane - I have owned 2 - and in dead calm conditions on summer evenings can be made to look like the real thing flying slowly and steadily overhead but.... being so small the scale magic is soon lost in turbulent air. This larger plane looks great.
I have seen something wrong with this plane today, that i can't unsee now. The lights are known and i fixed mine so the white in the tail and the nav's are solid now while the beacon and the strobes flash *BUT* the wingstruts are to long and reach to a place way to far outside on the wing. They should connect to the wing at exactly the place where aleron and flaps meet but they are 10cm to close to the wing tip. Now i have to reposition the wing strut quick conector in the wing and shorten the strut itself or i have to sell the plane :D
My first and most glaring complaint. Lol. I will fix as well. Immediately!! Red, green and white tail will be solid. White wingtip and red tail will flash. The way it should be!!
Just one question, why are the nav lights blinking and the "white strobes" are on solid? Do you think it is easy to switch the light connections? At worst, I'll cut some wires and get it right.
Ranger 1800 is excellent, and this plane is also excellent....so hard to explain the difference, since it's super subtle...this one feels just a BIT more "top heavy" than the Ranger, and probably because the wing is so FLAT, and the tips on the Cessna 182 are bent down. They are both GREAT - that's the point. Get BOTH. ;) bprc.me/FMS_Cessna182 bprc.me/FMS_PA18 - OOOOPS, threw that in there just to muddy the waters a bit more ;) bprc.me/FMS_Ranger
I was wondering on which aircraft you would recommend for a first time aircraft. The e-flite habu sts, hobbyzone carbon cub s.2 1.3m, or the FMS PA-18 1.3m?

Ohhh, you two were on it. Great video Brian! You guys are lots of fun and good info too.
A perfect rendition of the 182. Because of the scale looks, this one is on my short list!
Man that is a must have plane in everyones hanger perfect for late evening casual cruising with a great lighting package

You just can’t beat a Cessna and FMS did a great job.
This plane is very good! I really like to fly this this plane, and it's really "my style" of flying too, so double wammy!

How many tons per acre do you think we'd need worth of peatmoss and sand?

@BrianPhillipsRC just watch the video of cleatus mc garland at his airport, when the zoom in on the soil and grass, it's a candy mix that packs well.
You can start with over seeding and then after it starts to germinate and get about 2" tall, then start leveling with the mix, it will grow thru and start spreading to fill in nicely.
I mean, who doesn’t love Brian Phillips?
...and his wife. I think her name is...Mrs. Camera Crew Phillips. 🤔
Brian fantastic demonstration and great video and like the banter. Jeff in LA USA
This plane is rad! I’ll be getting one.
It is very good! Just was flying it this evening again, and got something like 20 minutes of takeoffs and landings on 67% charge on a 3200mAh 4S 50C spektrum pack. I DID hit low voltage protection, fyi, so might want to be careful about that ;)
You are still doing an amazing job with your reviews bro 👍.
Very nice, I love sticking it in the hole also, especially when people are watching 😁
Awesome Bird, Nice flying Brian 👌🏻
Damn that thing is beautiful....
But your property is just breathtaking guys.....wow
NIIIIIICE... Been looking at this plane, waiting for someone to review it 👍

EXCELENTE.......AMIGO!!!
Another flawless maiden 👍 Dude, would love a vid walk around of Phillip’s Aerodrome with updates of what’s going on in the backyard 👌
Quit looking at the comments and get packed for Nall, Brian!! 😂👍🏼
Great video! I really like this one! I really wanted the umx Cessna and never got one, so now I hope to get one of these which would be even better than a umx.

UMX Cessna was a great calm weather plane but the scale magic was quickly lost in turbulent air.
FANTASTIC!!!!!!
Glad you like it! Thanks!
Love your videos dude
Thanks! This plane is amazing!

FMS- why are the nav lights flasing?!? Ugh... oh well. I'll fix that 👍
yep...why?!?!?! Well, maybe they do that in China? ;)
Easy fix
Its a Toy thats why BUT scale detail ❤
My first and most glaring complaint. Lol. I will fix as well. Immediately!! Red, green and white tail will be solid. White wingtip and red tail will flash. The way it should be!!
Yes the182 is a grate trainer. And much easier to fly than most other planes short of an aero scout.
Hi Brian. How does this Cessna compare to the E-Flite Cherokee 1.3 V2? Do you have a favorite between the two? Thanks!
Tremendous! 👍🏻 ✈️
It totally is! Get one!!!! bprc.me/FMS_Cessna182 SOOOOOOO GOOOD ;)
That is one sweet plane
Brian what are you going to be flying I'm looking forward to seeing you flying another one of your you really make fun to watch
So you can fly FMS planes with Spektrum transmitters?
Hi Brian. Would you please let us know what the name of the screwdriver kit you is is? Looks nice! 😁
Just one question, why are the nav lights blinking and the "white strobes" are on solid? Do you think it is easy to switch the light connections? At worst, I'll cut some wires and get it right.
how is it on grass field
If you say you love General Aviation one more time. I might just believe you.
😂😂😂
Looks very scale but I want to see more of that sweet Super Timber.
We will do more footage of the Super Timber 1.7m for sure ;) Both great planes, by the way, but the Super Timber is a lot "more" plane, to be fair ;)
Hi Brian. As far as flight characteristics, please compare this to the 1800 Ranger. Obviously this wins in the looks category!
Ranger 1800 is excellent, and this plane is also excellent....so hard to explain the difference, since it's super subtle...this one feels just a BIT more "top heavy" than the Ranger, and probably because the wing is so FLAT, and the tips on the Cessna 182 are bent down.

Brian I am so torn between this and the 1800mm Ranger.. If you could only get one what would you go with!??
I was wondering on which aircraft you would recommend for a first time aircraft. The e-flite habu sts, hobbyzone carbon cub s.2 1.3m, or the FMS PA-18 1.3m?
NICE!!! 👍👍😜🤣😁😎
It is fantastic!!!
Nice
Sweeet!!! 😎
Nice.
Would like Brian to fly and comment in how review models fly ,with and without stabilization devices.
Should i recommend this as a trainer for a friend (its his favourite plane)
Brian quick opinion question..this or the FMS Maule? Cheers.
Which do you like better? This Cessna or the eFlite Super Timber?
One word: airliners
With Cessna they r able to do multiple touch & gos in a runway length...Try that with this one
Does it have a gyro?
How much it cost
I ordered that plane through your link I'm exiced to get it
Thanks for supporting us! We really appreciate it. Hope you love it as much as we do!
Jay kujan got it on 4 hours sooner!!!!
Take off and land out the grass ok ?
Yeah, but it'll get dirty easy. White foam + grass ops = green foam ;)
Your videos are way to long
Then don’t watch them😂
And you must be impatient thinking life is short and will run out of time I bet you spend way too long in the bathroom on your phone 😂
Too* and don’t watch them 😂
