You are a hero to flight this just to show us. I probabbly would die bored, but its good to know that you can fly forever.
Yes it was a boring flight indeed :-)
That's an impressive battery. Crazy amount of flight time and distance.
Fantastic flying and testing, Gal! 😃
Really impressive battery indeed! Great review!!!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thank you for testing this, it's really helpful :)
😎
the fact that this battery's capacity is 25% greater than that of 8000mah iflight fullsend battery while the weight is about the same gets me mad...i am getting one...
It not actually 25%. YOu need to read the spec sheets for each battery. The 40T @15a draw has a capacity of 4000mAh whereas the 50S @15a draw has a capacity of 4560mAh.
@@gregdavidd oh.. why the hell is it stated 6s 10ah!!!
@@freespirit2129 because that is what the manufacturer has it listed as officially but if you read their spec sheet you will see you can only achieve that at low amp draw. You need to do your own research when it comes to Li-ion batteries.
@@gregdavidd thanks alot!
Thanks GregDavidd - I should have better research it and included this information in the video.
Looks great batery, thanks Gal👍🙏
My pleasure!
share this to my friend, 20mins is great....he is finding solution for mountain cruising fpv
Happy flying!
Thanks Gal. Being using the earlier generation of these cells in a 6S2P cofiguration for 2 years. Although mine are also 5000mAh the best I have done is 26 minutes ( I can't remember the range on my 10" quad). I self build mine and considering the new Samsung 50S cells are 6.25 euros each from Nkon (inc VAT) this pre built pack is too expensive. I do have an alert on with Nkon to purchase 120 of these when they come back in stock. Cheers mate!
My pleasure! I will post another test using a 10" setup soon.
Flight time really depends on speed, setup weight, weather and etc. but I think that this setup did pretty well :-)
Thanks for this commentary. I'm moving to Europe in december and i didn't know where i could bould original 18650 and 21700 to build my own packs. I don't trust aliexpress and in US I buy from 18650batterystore. Any others trustable stores in Europe for batteries?
NKon in Hollantd is the only one I use. They have never let me down!@@carmofpv
@@carmofpv check where you can buy the new Auline cells. I doubt that there are counterfeits out there.
Impressive!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the current draw that is displayed on the OSD was the total cumulative draw on the battery? So if I see that I'm pulling 25 to 30 A constantly when I'm flying my 7 inch that is the total amp draw, not an average of one of the four motors (which would be 100-120a based on my example), or as you mentioned here at the 2:23 Mark... Or am I hearing you wrong?
It's the total amount of current draw for all 4 motors.
Nice Result! My personal result with 4s3p 15000mAh - 30 km total in 40 mins in air, with motors 2806 1300KV and props Gemfan cinelifter 7035x3
18650 4s2p 6000mAh iflight XL7 BrotherHobby avenger 2806.5 1300kv 28min flight 20km
Thanks for sharing, that's pretty impressive!
Can you share your setup?tnx
220 dollars 😀 crazy there are people really buying this stuff... there are battery cells worth of 60 euro inside... a pro factory is building this battery in 10 minutes, so even if you sell it with a factor of 2 you can offer it for 120-150 and earn a load of money. Stil great video as alway, thanks for sharing your experience and knowledge !
Yes I agree. Thank you, I appreciate it!
Insane
I compared a Dark Lithium 4s 5200mAh battery to a Tattu 4s 5200mAh lipo battery with a Multistar 4225-610Kv brushless motor. The Dark Lithium ran for 30 minutes before one of the cells hit 3.3 volts, the Tattu ran for 26 minutes before one of the cells hit 3.6 volts. The current was around 6.8A. Li-Ion can safely discharge down to 3V (the per cell voltage is 2.7V).
@@billisenberger7112 sorry, but this information is not worth much without graphs since the discharge voltage curve is not linear. Also dark lithium seem to be much more expensive, so flight time per dollar would be interesting. Researching batteries seems to be really hard nowadays since scams are everywhere...
@@MarkusRessel "Flight time per dollar" Now that is a useful figure
Hey Gal, what if you use 900KV motors with 8 or 9" props. more fly time ?
Hi Rolo, yes I think it should be more efficient.
Hi. How does this quad (running this battery) compare to your 10" running the same battery? Any improvements in flight time or distance with the larger setup?
Hmmm Just wondering your throttle position around 25% My Chimera 7 can handle 5200 6S LiPo with 35-40% throttle. The battery weight pretty close (Probably 7.5 props better than 7 )
Yes I guess the 7.5" props help improving the drone power efficiency.
Most people are going to be mountain surfing with these. So probably need more throttle, probably around 25 to 30a. Is this thing going to crap out by using that much throttle? When looking at the Spec sheet it looks like at 15a constant draw this battery will have 4560 mAh (1S).
Thanks for the information.
the 15A current draw on your video is not per motor, it is for all FOUR motors at the same time. Your motor draws 9A at 50% throttle (per motor spec sheet), and about 3A at the 30-40% throttle you are cruising. I did the same test on my Moz7, and I also get 10-15A for all FOUR motors.
Yes that's absolutely correct. I am not sure why I said that.
Could you use a 4s3p battery of the same size to reduce the current pulled from the cells at the expense of responsiveness?
Yes but I am not sure how it's going to affect the flight time / performance.
@@KremerFPV I'll have to try this myself when I get a decent size quad. My suspicion is that the Li-ion batteries will play nicer and last longer in that configuration.
Nice test! I have a Chimera7 Pro V2, using a DIY 6S2P 10000mAh battery built from 50S cells too.
I wonder how is your current so low? When I cruise without wind at 70Km/h, I get at least 20A consumption.
I’m using a BLHelli32 ESC set at 24KHz. Also using iNav 7.1
Do you have any insights on how to lower the current? Yours seems to stay below 10A
Hi. With the setup you mentioned, what is your flight time and landing voltage/percentage when flying at 70kmh (or more) for the whole flight? Thanks!
@@DA98623 About 25 minutes. I changed props to nylon carbon and get 30+
Awesome flight .Do you know why the same capacity (8000 mAh) has once 117,6 Wh and second 177,6 Wh ? Geprc lies ? ;)
Thanks! It's just a typo. I let them know about it and I am pretty sure it will be fixed. The correct value is 177.6Wh (8*22.2).
I’m definitely not getting that amount of flight time with mine. I flight chimaera pro. I do love those props though!
that prop… expensive…
@@freespirit2129 they are worth it!!!
Doesnt fit the rekon7 .. all this 21700 6S2P packs dont fit rekon7. I made my own and turned packs sideways. But use 6S4P 18650 pack alot
This larger sized battery 🔋 is much better for 7 inches or up drones, maybe not good idea for 5 inches or maybe not good idea for 6 inches hmm 🤔?? 10,000ah got much more weight on it as well
yeah, 10‘000 is way to heavy for a 5 or 6“
Yes it's not a good option for a 5" drone. While it might be able to carry it, it won't fly well and the setup will not be efficient.
Nice video, Gal!
I was wondering: I‘m planing on building an efficient 7“ with 2207 Motors. Do you think it‘s possible that it will be able to carry a 6s 10Ah battery?
2207 on 7” would be the opposite of efficient. You will not be able to carry a Li-Ion (especially 6S), unless it is an ultra light build, low pitch prop, and a 900KV motor.
Details:
With 2207s and 7” you have to keep it as light as possible and make sure you don’t fly in wind.
A Li-Ion will not work well (the motors are too weak and inefficient to control a 7” prop, especially loaded) gotta stick to a lighter and more powerful LiPo, or it will be VERY shaky and unstable. 4S battery on 1750KV motor works okay.
It does work decent if you use bi-blades or low pitch props and keep everything below 800 grams AUW.
Is there a reason you want to use this prop and motor combination specifically? I actually love this motor size for a 6” bi-blade freestyle build, but that’s about it’s load limit.
I strongly recommend going with 6” max prop size on this motor, but 5” with a 6S battery will work best (that’s what it’s optimized for), it will even fly okay upto 950 grams.
Let me know if you need further help.
Thanks, I agree with lemonSquareFPV. It will be only good for an ultralight build which is probably going to be extremely hard to tune in my experience:

Hey@@lemonsquareFPV! Would love some help on an endurance build, if you're up for it.
Yeah.....230 dollhairs for a battery! Jhc on a motorbike. Imagine crashing that bugger and watching it burn.....much sadness in the wallet department 😮
Yes it's a premium price...
Samsung 50s cells r expensive
