My comment disappeared. But, I'll be purchasing one today. I have a Coleman as well but the more, the merrier. Redundancy is paramount. We plan on going off grid as much as it is possible where we live. Gas stoves, rocket stoves (outside as well as a few different grill styles), a few solar generators & inverters (with car battery charger, air compressor, combo) later, we're definitely on our way. Remember.....this all came about because of your Arizona penny can stove and my family starving and freezing several winters ago. There's more but I'll leave it at that. I thank you, my family thanks you, and your information has literally been a life saver, brother. God bless you and yours. We're well on our way to have to pay as little as possible to "the man".

I am so glad you did a review on this product. I just found and bought it because it wasn't a NAME BRAND! I have already used it in the cold weather outside in LV New Mexico. Simple yet just as good if not better than the more expensive brands. Does everything a coleman can do, at a cheaper cost. In my book, that a great value.

Thank you !! Your video is the only one I found that actually set the whole stove up. From A - Z. I just wanted to double check how to hook up the propane and regulator ( think that's what it's called). Thanks for showing me!!👍😁

I got a stove just like that. At my Walmart they were on clearance for $12!!!!! Had to buy it. We used it while camping this summer.

32 down to 28 ounces for about the same price is called shrinkflation.
I actually have one of these stoves and at a true value hardware store I bought an adapter hose to hook it up to a 5 gallon propane tank. A year or two ago when that snow storm came through Texas I set it up in my bedroom and when the electricity went out I was warm and comfy.

Thanks for the review. I think you are correct in that for 30 bucks it wouldn't hurt to buy one and stash it away as another backup to my backups.
As an aside, I would love a video from you about your fuel storage arrangements. Last year I became concerned about the amount of the various fuels that I had stored in the house. I moved most every thing out into my detatched garage and shed. That didn't satisfy me either so I built an additional shed, further back in the yard and have moved most everything into that. I did add some exrta ventilation, both high and low to eliminate any vapor build up, plus I used a roof coating intended for mobile homes to reduce the heat build-up from the sun. The only fuels left in the house are small amounts to get things started before I have to bring anything back in. I'm looking for other opinions on safety precautions in that area. Thanks

That looks like a really decent stove , and I've never had a bad piece of gear from Ozark Trail. Granted it's not a Coleman but you get what you pay for. Still for the money it's a great stove , especially for someone on a budget or just starting out in camping.

I saw your comment @juijitsu2000 I liked your review. I bought this stove three months ago. Will try to get use of it soon. Right now I have a butane stove. Cool comment. The price for me was good and it's not a Coleman. 😅

It would have boiled faster using less fuel if it had a lid on the pot to minimize heat lost while the water is heating.

  • @redoak3809

These were on clearance for $15. I would be concerned about the long-term reliability and the tubes are more exposed on the bottom but it is a nice stove. It allows you to simmer low and it is slim and easy for storage. I would prefer to buy a good example of a used older Coleman stove though than this or a new Coleman stove. This Ozark Trails stove looks like it would be easy to clean. It is certainly worth the $15 for someone that occasionally wants a stove for camping or picnicking. In particular, it would be a nice emergency backup stove.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong with this camp stove? Or: Do I need a regulator to connect it to a 15-pound propane tank? The pressure is weak I think. It flickers when I light it. Not heating pans up very well. Doesn't respond to burner knob very well. So I need some kind of regular in order to use the bigger tank? Thanks.

That stove looks like it works ok, for the price $27 bucks and a bottle of gas $7 bucks ,total $34 for a workable 2 burner , it would have been nicer if it was more self contained and had a handle and didn’t have to carry it around in a cardboard box also an igniter would be great , but with all the extras it probably wouldn’t be $27 bucks , but it’s still a pretty “ Hot 🔥deal “ 👈🏼😆

Great review, thanx ! It looks super lightweight to me also which is kind of a plus! Do you think that grate will hold up over time with at Kettle full of water and a cast iron skillet full of grub? And do you have to keep it in it's original box to keep the grate secure or does it clip into the bottom somehow to keep it from gettin separated from the stove and lost?

The Coleman is a much better stove. I just picked up a Coleman for $30 at Ollie's, but they're normally only 10 or 15$ bucks more than Ozark Trail. Really Coleman is cheaper when you consider the Coleman (which you can get replacement parts for) could last you the rest of your life and the Ozark Trail may last you a few years if you're lucky....At least I know the Ozark Trail propane lantern I bought lasted only a few years and looked about the same build quality as this stove.
