Shockingly I think that someone concluded there where only 2 churches in the UK, preaching faith alone in Christ alone, and they are 50 - 60 miles away, not practical for me without a car. Many believers are isolated at this time, even though it’s hard, we have to trust that God has his children where he wants them
This was amazing dropped out senior year I feel like a failure but I know God does not see me as that but as a winner and someone he can use for His glory
I left a apostolic/ pentecostal church because I believe in eternal security. I talked to my pastor at the time about it he said it was a damnable heresy and I was putting my salvation in jeopardy. To make matters worse my wife stands with them and my wife and I can't talk about much of nothing anymore because of the disagreements. It's not that I don't want to go to church or help in any way I can, but this town I live in believes you can lose your salvation. I don't know what else to do and I'm hurt in more ways than one. My faults are plenty....I don't pray enough, read my Bible enough, or look for a church with the values and Gospel I believe in. I work hard but I'm exhausted from all the world I hear on their radio and the foul language everyday. My wife and I aren't intimate anymore and I miss that. Anymore it's just agree to disagree and she is on her phone and I'm on mine. Ive been watching your sermons and this one spoke to me the most. I want my joy back....I think I lost it last year when my Mom died. I miss her so much and I'm ok but sometimes I'm not ok. I can't talk to my wife and I really need her. Im to the point where I'm seeing and understanding that I should just put everything on Jesus and lean on Him and cry this all out. I don't know what else to do but your prayers I need more than ever. I just need prayers 🥺

Upon reflection, we need the right motivation to share the Gospel with the lost. If I go soul winning with the motivation that God is going to reward me, then my motivation is about me, that I am going to get something for doing what God calls “ our reasonable service “
For me, it is Jesus Christ himself that is my reward, because he has done the very thing that gives me eternal life with him, so it is enough for me to go and share the Gospel as my reasonable service, not because I m going to get something extra when the perfect GiFT is Jesus Christ , with love and grace from our Heavenly Father.
I think you are thinking a bit too hard, it's not just about you when you win a soul, it's about their eternal destiny and showing them the love of God. Paul says to run the race with endurance, what better motivation than to be rewarded from God himself? it's not a bad thing as you make it sound.

I think this verse explains the gold hay stubble best. It talks directly about when that happens. And the gold is trial of faith. A life of overcoming trials of this life through faith is gold. Resist temptation of all this life offers to believe God and act on it. Like this pastor.
7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ
Lose your life to get a better one, this life is in Jesus Christ, this life is Christ. Believe the gospel, your life ENDS, you die (spiritually) & ressurect with a new life that's eternal!
