Kyuhee Park - D.Scarlatti: Sonata K322

- This Sonata in A major was written in the final years of Scarlatti's life, along with many others of the 555 in his keyboard output. It is a joyous work, but its optimism is tempered with a maturity, as if the elderly composer wanted to refrain from youthful merriment and any hint of excess at celebration or festivity. Marked Allegro, the work has a more leisurely pacing than that tempo would normally suggest. Moreover, just when its jaunty dance-like manner and Spanish character seem about to turn more colorful, if not more animated, its elegance seizes the reins and the courtly side of its demeanor steps forth, but without quite jettisoning its good-natured character.
The work opens with a cheerful, unhurried theme in two-part, very transparent writing. After the expository material is given twice, Scarlatti launches into the development section, which, as was typical in his sonatas' structural schemes, makes up the second half of the work. The mood here is a bit less bright, with the playful elements at times seeming headed toward more serious matter. Scarlatti makes relatively few technical demands on the soloist in this pleasant, three-and-a-half minute Sonata, but interpretively he offers quite substantial challenges.

She plays it like it's a small chamber orchestra, the separate voices standing out on their own...Perfect !
As usual she plays it perfect and full of passion …so beautiful 🙏🏻. Thank You Kyuhee ❤️
I love, love, love her playing. To play at this level is very impressive, but to play at this level with her tiny little fingers. Now that's super impressive.
So elegant and delightful performance.
Great interpretation!
Thank you Kyuhee Park, great rendition. I learned this piece 44 yrs ago with the help of a Spanish guitar teacher in Asturias Spain. I am a big fan of classical guitar and happy'to hear this on RUclips after so many years I am inspired to play the guitar again but my job as medical illustrator is too demanding. So thank you for such great rendition and inspriation to me. Brings a thrill to my heart. Hope to hear more from you on the internet
Great placement of trills - thank you.
I've been loving this Scarlatti sonata which was played by Horowitz.
Because, each piano note that Horowitz has weaved is extraordinarily beautiful.
However, today, listening to this sonata by guitar performance of Miss.Park, I was completely knocked out. So I fell in the rapture same as Horowitz.
It seems that Miss. Park practically received the influence of performances by Horowitz. Anyway You've brought another value into this sonata. I think thus.

Awesome!!
A good taste all along with exquisite color and tempo. Makes me want to come back to hear this performance time and time again.
I agree with previous comments and a really lovely interpretation of this fine sonata. Kyuhee Park has a great understanding of Scarlatti's idiom. Although it's originally written for the harpsichord, this rendering is certainly better than many I have heard on the piano. I'm glad that guitarists like this young lady have 'adopted' it for their instrument. I play it on the piano and never get tired of playing it :)
Scarlotti has been transcribed for, and performed on the guitar for decades.
Kyuhee you are wonderful!
it' beautiful style of her style of classical guitar. i love it
her performance always make me smile
Absolutly marvellous
Wonderful! She makes it look so easy!
Absolutely beautiful!
Beautiful music
Very very good, I'm sure that the Queen had approved the missing of a clavichord.
beautiful playing!
Kyuhee is really very good
Maravilhosa interpretação. Bravo!!!
Bravo !
I wish she would come to Canada and Montreal in particular.
¡¡¡GENIA!!!
What are the characteristics that reflect the influence of Spanish music in this piece?
Is this performance available on DVD or VHS anywhere? I'd love to own a copy before the videos get taken down forever.

Emanuel Estrada Yarce good evening , Bravo
Good!
Fantastic! I am amazing!
that's what you think
Of course! She play so well, how you can not think?
your comment:" I am amazing!" My comment: "That's what you think". I am not talking about the guitarist.
Yes the guitarist is amazing? What are you talkng?
Now say it in Scandinavian and see how you go. Can't you tell that English is not his first language ?
Bravo
I love you!! ;)
great
🌸
Does anyone know how she does the “tr”? I’ve seen that some do it with the left hand like Ana Vidović
waay faster than I can play it!!!!!!
Such tiny hands. My complaints about the trills are therefore debased.
Can I use this your audio for my youtube videos? (Attribution)
I do not own the rights of this video, nor the performance. You would have to contact her directly.

How does she do the legato at 0:16 ? How can I practice that?
Alper Yüksel bro.. that's not too much to explane. Second (i) finger, fast third finger (a) and move up (withour relasing the second finger) so you make immediately the sound of the second one(a). Sorry for grammar but i'm italian
@@edinajr686 Yeah but it sounds like she is doing it twice. But when i tried it that way it didn't sound correct. So I wondered if she is doing it a different way or is it just the speed cause I'm not doing it quickly enough.
@@alperyuksel1726it's a trill with two strings not legato i think
Why is there 10 dislike?
Fukkkkkkkk
Bravo!
