Change the battery on your multimeter! The voltage wasn't too high! The battery icon it has does not mean that the battery is installed! :) That icon indicates that the battery is low and measurements are unreliable. I know from experience that that particular meter starts to show higher AC voltages with low battery (i have the same crappy meter)

For 20+ years I cut and split and stacked firewood. And it had to be done in the summer when there was sufficient dry wood. It meant that I never had any time to myself.
This year I built a small, well insulated shack, drastically upgraded my Solar power system, and installed a inverter type Air Conditioner. It works perfectly, no noise, no fuss.
I used to love wood, now I love electricity!

When you increase voltage, you reduce current for a same consumption. (ohm's law )
I assume the power company increased voltage to reduce current,so its power grid can sustain increased consumption on cold days like you have during the video.
Its distribution/production capability must be at its limit i guess,so the company is "cheating" with that trick.

For storing small four stokes pull the ignition cord until you feel resistance. By doing this you make sure the engine is in compression phase meaning both valves are closed. It prevents moisture to get in into the engine.

Those smaller wood splinters are quite common. Here in Canada we buy them from Princesses Auto. Most of the folks I know that have them built a foot pedal for the power switch so you can hold onto the wood with a hand and not their chin. Great video.

About the 3-man operation at 53:55 - 54:50; my family does it almost exactly how you describe it; the difference is that the third person loads the cut wood into a wheelbarrow and brings it into a woodshed where it gets stacked to dry. (Grandpa, my dad and me; dad cuts, i hand him the logs, and grandpa loads the wheelbarrow)
    I'm from Slovakia, btw.
You could improve the saw by using a 3-phase 3-5kW 2860min^-1 motor, and under drive it to ~2100min^-1 at the saw blade for more torque, and stiffening the frame would be benefitial as well.
I suggest this, because the saw we have at home has a 3kW 3-phase 1440min^-1 motor, the only difference is that the motor on our saw is overdriven by 1,4; so ~2000min^-1 at the saw blade. Bigger pulley at the motor and smaller on the driven shaft of course. The disadvantage of this is a bit less torque at the saw blade, but it worked fine for more than 40 years; to this day, so no reason to mess with it. Also, use 2-4 belts at once, to reduce the wear to a minimum.

The safest device I saw you use in this video was a brief stint with a chainsaw. I appreciate your tenacity to keep old equipment going BUT from a safety perspective I had my phone beside me during this video with 9-1_ dialled. Get yourself a proper I-Beam, gas powered, 2 wheel, trailerable log splitter. It will handle big and small logs much safer than the 2 splitters you have. As far as the small log cutter, get that thing in your workshop a make it much more stable and far safer. Just losing a finger on that thing would be a win. Just want you to keep you delivering your videos every Friday afternoon.

Then when you pulled out the homemade saw I just knew "Super Mom" would be posting the video of how you meet your bloody end. But, as luck would have it, you survived both and everything after that was bonus material!! Turned out to be a very entertaining movie! I would put it right up there with some of John Wayne's best westerns. I give it 4 out of 5 stars and an "F" rating, for firewood. BRAVO, well done my friend!!🙂😉

We have invented something in Norway called "slow TV". They have been filming the coastal sea route 24/7 for days at end, a trainride from the capitol to another city hours away, a trek through norwegian nature for days, even knitting for hours. The interesting thing is that people watch these programs, also I. Why one might wonder. It's relaxing, even socializing because people are chatting with strangers on social media while telling where they are from.

I get tired just watching you work! Maybe you should consider making a mud roller out of two 200L fuel drums filled with concrete and rocks.

I have an invention for you you might like to build..We built one of these for our farm to use on 15cm-20cm diameter trees. It will cut larger, but there's a risk that the tree, once cut will fall back onto the skid steer. We basically made a "swordfish" for a skidsteer. :-) I took a flat piece of 1/8" thick steel and cut a 8' long triangular shape out of it..I also used the plasma cutter and a template to cut out saw teeth on the two long legs of the triangle. The base leg of the triangle was only about 24" wide. I then took an 8' long piece of angle iron and placed another piece of angle iron back-to-back with the first piece. I welded the two angle irons together then welded them right down the middle of the triangular saw blade. The entire contraption was then welded to a skid steer QA plate. The idea is you drive the "swordfish" up to the tree..put the saw blade as low as you want to cut..in most cases, we tried to cut below grade a bit. Then you rock the skid steer back and forth while pushing the blade with each pass a bit into the tree. This sawing motion takes 4-6 passes and the tree comes down and you have a nice flush cut left behind. Works amazingly well and you can clear a forest out very quickly with it. It works WAY faster than a chainsaw.

In the USA the Code for electrical wiring includes a large section in the code just for grounding.
