I love that Stapleton records live with his band in the studio. It's a lost art and it gives his albums a vibe that you just can't duplicate when everyone's tracking separately. His drummer Derek Mixon plays beautifully in this song and I hope you all enjoy my interpretation of his performance. This is great. As someone who’s never gotten into country because of the lack of interesting drumming (at least from my limited exposure), this might make me take another look.
Try listening to some Kentucky Headhunters, not the hardest drumming but amazing grooves.

Have you or would you consider running the sheet music notes along the bottom of your vids? You’re a fantastic and dynamic drummer and I’d love to stick every note. It may be a big “ask” but maybe consider it?

So, a band I was in a long time ago, regularly did this tune. Except, it was an acoustic guitar trio, and I played cajon. I think we were pretty faithful to the original, but it certainly had a different feel.
