I totally understand your feeling. I ended up being in Egypt a lot longer then what I was supposed to be, and actually when I came home to the US, I went into a deep depression. I missed it so bad, and just felt sick inside. I can relate.

When i visited egypt i felt like i hv found my root, i ve searched for it all of my life. My heart trembled when i saw the pyramid with my own eyes for the first time. And travel to egypt really a life changing experience to me. Does any of u experienced this also?

Militants have launched a bomb and gun attack on a mosque in Egypt's North Sinai province, killing 235 people, state media say.
Witnesses say the al-Rawda mosque in the town of Bir al-Abed, near al-Arish, was targeted during Friday prayers.
It is the deadliest attack of its kind since an Islamist insurgency in the peninsula was stepped up in 2013.
Egyptian President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi vowed to respond with "brute force" after talks with security officials.
No group has yet claimed the attack, but militants affiliated with so-called Islamic State have been responsible for scores of deadly attacks in the province.

Egypt, the venerable, is the land of an ancient glorified Pharaohs 'empire(s)' and Amazigh kingdom(at the very north) and Coptic kingdom(at the central and south) and currently Arabs(well, I'm not sure whether Arabs are glorified or not but... LoL).

I cried! Being an egyptian I’ve never wished to be somewhere else but here and people always laugh at me when I say how terribly homesick I get when I travel abroad. Really, egyptians should appreciate more what they have. I may have a piece of advice for you, Jordan, you said that you and Livio won’t be living in China forever so why not wait for him to finish his work there then come back to Egypt. You don’t need to leave Egypt for good and 6 months is not a very long time. Besides, you love to travel and you can keep yourself busy with more trips in China. I’m putting myself in your shoes and I can imagine that all what you want is to live in a place that feels like home with your loved one. Think about it. And don’t worry we have a saying that goes “who drinks from the nile is destined to go back to it” 😉

I miss 🇪🇬 every day, I feel you girl…. It’s been damn hard… The missing and feeling this part of u stays there, and coming back to the reality after living like a dream there is hard….All I know is that I wanna go back soon❤️God bless Egypt 🇪🇬❤️🙏🏼🇲🇽❤️

Ah, you have a very pure heart. You even love our country more than we do. We appreciate you being here, I saw all of your Vlogs about Egypt and I enjoyed all of em, you are showing Egypt as I never seen it before, you have another special point of view. We really enjoy you being here and we all welcome you anywhere, and if you need anything feel free to ask anyone from this beloved country.

Your post has me weeping in the best way.
I watched your previous vlogs in preparation for my own trip to Egypt (December 1st through 12th, but I would have liked to stay longer!) and they, your vlogs, I thought, were very helpful and well put together.
I also *love* Egypt. I loved my visit, I loved the people, I loved the historical sites, I loved the food, I loved the air (outside of smoggy Cairo, and even smokey Luxor).
I, too, had a sense of just well being there. I loved Egypt. I was utterly fascinated and weepy with overwhelming emotion the whole time I was there.
My trip to Egypt involved a Nile cruise on the historical S.S. Sudan with 45 friends and we all dressed in 1920s clothing the whole trip. (Like Agatha Christie's Death on the Nile. But without the death. 😉) So, my trip, for me, was very, very special, to be able to be in such an amazing place while dressed in vintage clothing, which is a passion of mine, with all my friends also dressed in vintage... Well, it really was really a trip of a lifetime.
I would have liked to stay in Egypt, but I needed to return to my husband and daughter in Rome. (I'm Californian, but have lived in Italy since 2001.)
Anyway, thank you very much for sharing your experiences with us. I deeply appreciate it and you.
I hope you are able to find clarity for your choices. (I know you have following videos, but I haven't seen them yet. Maybe you already have found your answers.)
The best of luck to you. ❤

From an Egyptian, this is it. This is egypt. We all want to be there but very hard to live there
As intriguing and exciting to be there, also it so mysterious trying to understand a very complicated Culture
It might take you a life time trying to understand and at the end you will never be able to
Best of luck for whatever your heart might lead you to
Just be careful, there is so many kind people over there but also ones that might harm you

I think you should go back to China sort yourself out and if you still feel the pull to Egypt then you know that you have to come back and live in Egypt. You will make new friends and new memories and a new life, don't think of it as losing your life in China but merely expanding your life in Egypt.

As a personal life experience, i'd like to suggest u to go back to china to figure out whether u wish to turn back to Egypt afterwards or not, u can think it through while trying to figure out what's next to do.
It's not that it's wrong to settle in Egypt now, it's just by letting urself go, u will find out whether it was just a temporary feeling or it is ur true calling.
This been spoken, i feel the same way after I return. And am counting my days to return to where I belong: Bali :) wishing u the best!

I happened to saw some of your videos, and I love them. The frustration in this video is obvious. I'd like to shine some lights into your mind, hopefully to help you get over the frustrations. I used to travel a lot when I was in my 20~30's. At that time, I also kind of find myself lost from now and then. But as I keep going forward, those uncertainties faded out. Traveling is a fabulous way for us to understand the world deeply, those difference, vibrant colors of cultures, unforgettable people, all become part of you. Travel is hardly a way of finding a place to stay, but it's a way of finding one's inner self. Keep on traveling. Don't stop when you still can. Ultimately you will settle down somewhere, as you probably will get a family, some kids even. The whole life is a journey, keep marching through it.
Hope next time I can see a more happy you. :D

Keep it and one day you might go back too.

Thank you for the update. It gets difficult for viewers when there isn't any word and seeing all the horrible world news, it does make one wonder. Hey, we all come to those crossroads in life where we have to make life changing decisions. Life never goes exactly as planned. Follow your passion, your dreams, have no regrets nor 'I shoulda woulda coulda.' Whenever I have had a difficult decision it also helped me to define the Pros & Cons on a sheet of paper. If what's holding you back is having to say something to someone is difficult for you, just do it. Often it's not as bad as we thought it would be. Best wishes & good luck. Really enjoyed your video. Every traveler experiences places that makes you want to stay, but that doesn't mean you need to stay. The magic of a place continues if you take it in small proportions, if you stay too long, the magic disappears and it becomes just another place. You have some people that you care about waiting for you, at the end of the day thats what matters, not the place you are at, but the people you are with.

Wow , I am egyptian ( From Aswan too ) and this first time I feel lucky that I am in egypt, WOW , thanks for that :D
actually half of the egyptian wish to immigrate To USA , what a world :D
But Let me give you some words may be help you :
    first :
It is great that you love Egypt , but do not worry if you leave , Egypt will stay :D
and you can and back every year about two month , especially in Christmas and winter , which the best time for it
in summer it became not fun at all , believe me :D
and whatever you go and back again , Egypt will welcome you , the same , every time , no worry :D
second : you need to prepare more if you want to stay long in egypt , for example , improve your arabic more than this , your arabic is so beginner , so you need to improve it more arabic so you can go and talk and deal in every stuff
    third :
Egypt is wonderful , but Be sure , that travelling is more awesome
so actually no need for sad , the both options is nice
if you travel and leave egypt = it is awesome
if you stay in egypt = awesome too :D !!
    forth :
I think May be you want some rest from travelling , and egypt is nice place to have Great rest
as this is the land where the time can stopped
what every your choice , we support you
and really thank you thank you thank you for you for your words about egypt
Egypt love you the same like you love Egypt
Have a nice time whatever your place in the world
    P.S. :
if you think EGYPT is awesome , but Aswan is Magic , welcome to the most beautiful soul city in the world :D
    Cheers :D
