One of the most beautiful songs ever written.
The best song to the Friday Night Lights soundtrack, so magic, I can feel every pain in the scene before the defeat of the Panthers and at the same time all the respect for them for never giving up so beautiful moment in a movie. Thank you Daniel and the Band 🙌🏼🙏🏼
A devastatingly underrated movie!!! From an underrated director. But this song is amazing
Couldn't have said it any better. This song feels like it's weeping and rejoicing in life
The Master of creating the moods of his music. Inspiring
Magical! Like Bill Frisell he loves to repeat the same harmonic turn on and on to the point of hypnotizing the listener.
Daniel Lanois is one of the absolutely greatest musicians of all time. So amazing to watch him work... the way he uses a steel guitar brings out the beauty of the instrument.
The man never disappoints. Wow.
Takes me right back to seeing him a few years ago doing a workshop at the National Music Centre here in town - I was maybe 6 feet from him while this kind of sound enveloped all of us. One of the cooler moments in my music listening life.
You are lucky. I lived in Gatineau when he was far away--now in BC I hope he tours!
@@ashtonodoyle7660 It was a great experience for sure. Yes, I hope he'll go out on tour too
Love this. They truly are the long spoken of Minutemen: Men who play for the dead and wander from cemetery to cemetery saluting all who lay in their eternal sleep..
Freaking amazing!! An innovator of pedal steel!! LOVE the Hendrix influence here as well. Sounds awesome. Sure wish I could find some guys willing to play music that daring!! and wish I could play music that daring!! Awesome!!
I've heard those are hard as hell to play and even tougher to sound good.
Magnificent and absolutely gorgeous!
Friggin timeless musical genius.. hard to find a cooler unit
So good
Master. Thank you for everything sonically. 🙏
Beautiful
I have had an eargasm!
Magnifique.
I love this, but it sounds so different than the studio/album version. I'm reminded of David Lindley who said each time he played the slide guitar solos on "These Days" it was different. He couldn't replicate the exact some sound. Not being a musician, I can't really relate. But I loved hearing David play anything - however he played it - and I'd say the same about Daniel.
Very beautiful song. Everyone mentions the movie Friday Night Lights but I swear hear a version of this near the end of the movie Sling Blade around 8 years earlier. Both movies are Billy Bob Thornton specials. If anyone can find a version of the Sling Blade version anywhere, that would be amazing.
Your right Mike !
Fantastic.
as loud as it was I'm sure it was difficult for the keyboardist to read Daniel's key callouts in the moment but it turned out really well performed. honestly I'd have just played octaves on the key and left it at that for simplicity's sake if i was doomed to take his place lol
Wow!!!!!!
O.O wow!
GENIALIDAD
Genius!
awesomeness
🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
He was the perfect choice to write RDR2 main theme!
Goosebumpssssssssss....
the dude with the bass pedals is like whoa
A denim jumpsuit....
greasy mechanic. it's aight, man.
I said the same thing. He look like he had a slow day at the garage and decided to come over and jam straight from there. Lol
focus
Im free.
Where's Brian Blade when you need him?
What is the guy in the trench coat doing?
playing a Moog Tarus
megalomania
Wow, that´s unfortunate.
Too much drums on the line ...
