I adore an upgrade montage! There's a deeply satisfactory feeling to upgrading a bunch of gear in quick succession and Subnautica is awesome about providing that.

its somewhat old news, but there is a purple tablet just on top of the initial gateway. you don't have to do cave diving during your visit.
