This is a really nice video on how it should be done professionally. The motor doesn't have a separate bleed valve and can just topped up and then let it warm up two cycles and check level. The system can self bleed the air. Just have the cap open on the warm up
I suggest you suck from the radiator drain when you need to remove the old cooling liquid.. later, when you put the new one, use the vacuum to avoid air in the system ...
@@Matteo-mz7op I recently spotted a Mercedes official video about the specific procedure to refill the empty cooling system with specific equipment.. After playing the video twice I was still not able to understend the functioning of such equipment... I am proud of gaining the same resoult with a shim and a piece of pipe.. for no money... About dealer I am convinced they rarely care about car or owner... they only focus on selling.. also at service desk..
Hello, had the antifreeze like yours with 160 thousand kms and 15 years! I did 4 washes with water just until it was practically transparent, but when checking after 5 thousand kms it was black again! Is it normal or do I have to do a wash with Liqui Moly or longer washes with water?
Are you sure you flush the ENTIRE system? You have to bring the system to fully operational temperature (thermostat open) and turning on the heating system inside the car in order to make all the liquid moving around. I suggest you trying flush with water again and again..yoj do not need to use a cleaner like Liqui Moly
@@diycarmechanic587 In each water change, I walked well for about 30 kms and turning on the heating system, but I still have the inside of the pipes impeccable! without rust. This black is normal, is it wear or oil?
@@bbranquinho3133 At thos point it is reasonable thinking there is oil contamination in the system..I saw a video about that on a RUclips channel called MercTips, if I am remembering right..

How many litter i need for om651?
6,5l but put only 6 liters and check in the next morning if it needs more
Great video thanks!
Thank you for the video! In this way, i.e. sucking with negative pressure you don't have to drain also the engine block coolant, right?

@@diycarmechanic587 thank you again :)
@@Matteo-mz7op The goal here is to be able to takle the job "as a pro" spending as less as possible...😎😎😎
@@diycarmechanic587 I agree. At the dealer the cost is ridiculous :-)

@@diycarmechanic587 I saw this video ;) , the difference is that mine is still bluish itself, but when placed in a container it turns dark S)
Mine came out the same black color after 10 years and 150K miles. Probably just normal.
I simply suggest to change the fluid regularly in order to keep clean the entire system...that's a good rule for all filter and fluids in every car...
@@diycarmechanic587 I completely agree. I just bought this car and the job never been done before.
