Thanks for the video! Do you need to disconect the battery to be able to change the solenoid valve? Thanks
Sir how do u remove the Armature to send it for rewind.
@@justinfrancis7170 I didn't touch the eletrical engine, they are pretty stourdy and usually don' t need attention.. take care of piston and cylinder and you are ready to go..
Can you do it this way but leaving the subframe attached to the car?
@@nigelloughnan9276 yes you can do on side and the other one..oviously you will find yourself operating with very tight spaces..
Thanks for the reply.
1000th! Thanks for the videos, they really helped me work on my car.
Hi my w212 wagon e250cdi 2011 open air matic not.every time somtime 1 week somtime 4 day sommetime when i drive writing failure i didnt understand what si real problem plz tzl me man .thank from istanbul
45 Nm + 90 degree is how much Nm at the end ?
you neet to respect specification from MB WIS... so torque at 45 Nm a nd then rotate of 90 degrees
@@diycarmechanic587is not going like this. 45 nm + 90 degree = just 45 Nm
That's really a pain to reassemble these shoes into place if you do not follow some steps before as you mentioned in the part 4. I noticed that for this right hand side reinstallation the spring near the adjusting drum-crown assy is not in the correct position. This spring must be placed beyond the shoes (their inner part, between the shoes and the dust plate). The stronger spring is correctly installed thou and the adjusting assy (drum & crown) too. Thanks for this series of videos. I have got a W210 model and it's exactly the same system.
Thanks for the video, very interesting! A question: where did you jack up the car in the middle back? Is it on the differential? T
Top, ottima esposizione 🤝
we pressed out and new pilot bearing in yesterday. It is easy and quick job but you have to have a press machine
well done! hoping you car is running fine now
complimenti! professionale illustrazione.
Gentilissimo!! grazie!☺@@diycarmechanic587
Hi R u saying that to replace both air bags, you put car on axle stands remove old bags and then compress new bag and install without removing and suspension parts . Did you have any difficulty replacing your.
i have a w210 e230 and when i press the clutch it will not go into gear unless the engine is very warm and hot. I noticed that when I increase the number of revolutions by pressing the gas pedal with the clutch depressed, it drops into gear easily. What would the problem indicate?
Same for OM602.984 ???
Thanks for taking the time to show this to us. I missed the mention of what car this is?
How many litter i need for om651?
6,5l but put only 6 liters and check in the next morning if it needs more
Hola ... Mucho gracias por usted
how'd you get the dryer seal and cup off the cylinder head? I'm talking about the one with the holes in it that seems to be pressed in
everything is very easy to dismantle, nothing pressed or glued.. if needed simply use a proper hook..
My main airline to the compressor keeps popping out when I try to do a level calibration. I just replaced the level sensors . I was wondering if I need to buy a new fitting for the back of the compressor
change all VOSS brass fittings with new ones...
What's the diameter of that extra pipe?
Mine came out the same black color after 10 years and 150K miles. Probably just normal.
I simply suggest to change the fluid regularly in order to keep clean the entire system...that's a good rule for all filter and fluids in every car...
@@diycarmechanic587 I completely agree. I just bought this car and the job never been done before.

is there a pdf or link for service manual for getrag 717.400 manual 5 speed transmission?
thank you for showing this, I was wondering how to make the pin stay in my timing chain after I pushed it in. You might have saved the engine from destruction.
Outstanding! Great diagnostic approach. Possibly too time consuming for the repair shop, but great for the confident and creative DIY. I really appreciate the break-down of the pin connections and valve operation. I am surprised that the pin 1-3 combination opens both valves. I would have expected one pin to each solenoid and a common ground on pin 2. I really like the approach to test each air spring. Oddly, it did not occur to me until I saw this video that they could be tested without removal. It would be interesting to see what the valve block looks like inside.
well done presentation 👍
Thanks for the video. I have a W212 but mine is sedan with four bags. During cold days the car looses air at night and in the morning is flat. It takes a while to go up of course. I have replaced the main valve but it still does the same. The only mode where it doesn't loose air is when I leave the car in high, like for snow. If I don't loose air on that mode I know the bags are ok but in any other mode, comfort of sport, I loose air. Any thoughts?
Probably means you need new air springs. The Arnott ones aren't incredibly expensive ($200/ea), although full Airmatic on all four wheels may be different (I have a wagon with just rear self-leveling).
@@BruceLudwick thanks Bruce
@@BruceLudwick in fact, they are more expensive. Each front is about 600 and the rear ones about 400. I have to shell a good 2k to fix it.
Tks for sharing your work
very god explaining!
Good video! I have problems with that same part. Do you know the reference?
Bravo! Mi piace tantissimo. Io voglio fare uno a mi stesso. Ciao ciao x adesso.
very interesting, especially with the answers below, thank you
Its not silica gel.
Is this happening in regions where they use salt in winter, or is it widespread?
in 1:00 did you glue the screw or what?? thanks
I used JB weld putty... is a sort of high performance hard glue/ putty..
I bought bottle jack , disassembled buy the nut doesn’t have 3/4 “ and I also cannot remove the cylinder ….? Do you have 2T?
as I mentioned in the video for the specific step you need the help of a machinist...
can you tell me how did you connect the tank to the jack?? thanks
see part one in english
can You explain from 1:00 how did you do this? thanks
How many mm its the socket? 14mm? Thanks
14 or 17 mm , honestly I don' t remember now...anyway Mercedes has been using since decades ago the same misure for diffs and manual transmission plug...
Gostei da idéia. Maravilha ☺️
Bom dia, mostra a montagem.
I removed the Wabco Continental ZSB suspension compressor on my 2005 Audi Allroad. I have a hard and steady 01397 code failure indicating the N111 solenoid was bad. I didn't see any bad wiring anywhere, so I removed the compressor. How do I bench check this compressor to confirm it's bad? It seemed to be working fine before it failed suddenly as I was driving it. Over a week or so it sunk down evenly to the lowest stops on all fours wheels. When I disconnected the brown airline to it, air was released as of it was being stored well in the system. The numbers after Wabco are: 001 0424. Does this mean it was made on 2004? Thanks!
Sorry for late replay.. let me know iy you finally solved your problem.. it seams to me the problem could be the release valvle on the compressor... this could be your first check..
@@diycarmechanic587 It's probably the relief valve plus there was water in it and that broke it
