  • Hello Guys,
    Welcome back to TechNTechie.
Today, we will see how to upgrade the pre-installed windows 10 Home Single Language Operating system to Windows 10 Pro without any product key and then to Windows 11 Pro that also without any product key.
I have purchased this laptop with pre-installed operating system. I got Windows 10 Home Single Language with this laptop. Due to some features are not available on Windows Home so I am going to upgrade this to Windows 10 Professional.
Then will try to upgrade this to Windows 11 Pro. As I have already pre-installed operating system with license so will not require any other license key on upgrade this to Pro edition.
I am trying to show you all step by step. If you want to upgrade your Windows Home then please follow the steps. You will get the latest edition of Windows on your System if you go through this video.

Hello, nice video - question - If I have windows 10 home on my pc and my product key is already activated. However, to upgrade to windows 10 Pro is not showing automatically. I have to pay $99. Is there a way to bypass it? I had to go into my bios to enable TPM 2.0 in order to make my machine windows 11 compatible. It's not upgrading by itself through windows update. Any help would be appreciated.

Upgrading from Windows 10 Home to Windows 10 Pro typically involves a valid license and payment. However, if you've already activated Windows 10 with your product key, and you're looking to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro without the automatic upgrade option, here are some comments:
      Ensure Eligibility:
Before proceeding, make sure that your Windows 10 Home version is eligible for an upgrade to Windows 10 Pro. Some editions may not support this upgrade path.
      Check for Updates:
Ensure that your Windows 10 Home is fully updated. Sometimes, the upgrade option becomes available through regular Windows Update after all the necessary patches have been installed.
      Retail Upgrade Key:
If you already have a retail product key for Windows 10 Pro (not tied to a specific device), you can try entering this key in the Settings app under "Activation." This method may prompt an upgrade.
      Revisit BIOS Settings:
Double-check your BIOS settings to ensure that TPM 2.0 is correctly enabled. Sometimes, revisiting and ensuring correct settings can trigger the automatic upgrade process.
      Consider Fresh Installation:
As a last resort, if the automatic upgrade doesn't work, you might consider a clean installation of Windows 10 Pro. Ensure that you have a backup of your important data before proceeding.
Additionally, if you're specifically looking to upgrade to Windows 11, make sure your hardware meets all the requirements outlined by Microsoft for a smooth transition.

You can do it for free, follow the steps which I have shown in Video.
or you can follow this step: In Windows 10, go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and click the Check for updates button. If Windows 11 is waiting for you, it can then be installed as an update. Or you can Download With the Installation Assistant i.e., Windows 11 Installation Assistant.

Which operating system and edition you are using?

To check activation status in Windows 10, you need to go on Settings then Update and Security and then select Activation.
And for Windows 11, need to go On Settings>System then Activation. You will get to see the Activation status.

Hi, thanks for your nice comment. You haven't seen and listen it properly. I mean to say, not to worry about the new sr. key for windows 10pro or windows 11pro. I got the pre-installed operating system with the laptop which was licensed and with that key only the windows 10pro and 11 pro have been activated on this video. Where was I wrong, please let me know.
