Agree with your assessment Andy and happy to see Tsitsi playing better and at a top level we all have come to expect from him. He seems to have overcome his injuries and has improved on some technical and maybe even mental aspects of his game. I hope he continues to improve and finally win that elusive slam that I do believe he's capable of winning.
Excellent to see Tsitsipas on top of his game. I believe that on Clay he is one of the best players. He is currently in the Semis in Barcelona. Personally I feel he should have rested before Madrid and Rome.
Andy, I love your show and your astute analyses...Keep 'em coming!! 👍🏻👍🏾🎾
Andy Roddick . The Teddy Atlas of tennis talk.
keep up the great post tennis life podcast!
Andy had to compete against a GOAT in almost every Slam final. That ain't fair. So he'd have way more Slams if it were different.
Wasn't expecting Tsitsipas to win it, great
You are a great tennis commentator. Agree with your analysis
Tsitsipas had to win that match, he did play well, but also got a huge help from the umpire in semis against Sinner.
Great summary, Andy! Genuine question: Does no one think Tsitsipas has made some substantial changes to his backhand (like making the swings much more compact) both with the ground strokes as well as on his return of serves (where he used to shank it on every second return)? With his new and improved BH, he was also able to go flat down the line quite a few times that helped a whole lot against Sinner...
Backhand up the line was working in this match.
Tsitsipas's improvements in all aspects of his game are crystal clear, but let's not forget he won ONLY thanks an incredible mistake from the referee. I don't remember a call so wrong in recent times
What's the non-antiquated version of "on-the-rise"?
Tsitsipas most likely wouldn't be in the final if Hawk-eye was available
Tsitsipas had nice run and made final in Barcelona but this time lost to Ruud. Let's be honest, he needs with win a Grand Slam tournament and nothing else really matters.
At Stef's level and his talent, yes a slam is what matters. To 90% of the ATP tour, winning 3 Monte Carlo Masters would be the pinnacle of their careers.
Why the adds Andy? You are a multimillionaire 🤷🏼♂️
Bird flu?
Amazing how you dudes cant even pronounce his name after all these years. TsitsipAs, its not that hard
Terrific watch in every other way though
