Some kerb is way too tall to jump on it - so you will need to take your scooter in hands and move it on the side that you want. With Ultra you can do it easily. But i didn't understand how you can do the same with X...

If I had to go on the sidewalk there are ramps on all curbs in NYC. Also, who is jumping curbs with a scooter? Makes no sense. Do that with a bicycle.

Been on every motorcycle since age of 5, own 8 i ride often, but these scooters are just as fun until the government finds a reason to not allow them on public side-walks.
That means we have to be responsible and not go crazy with these speeds. This is my main gripe with these scooters. It's a race to the fastest which is not the point in my opinion. For me, these are suppose to make commutes better and if you're hitting 50 mph, you are asking to have to licence up because you'll have to be on the road and basically driving like a car.
I thought I was the only one having troubles with the audio, it's a shame that you guys are so eager to upload a video that you don't even check the quality of it, at times there's so much wind noise that we can't hear what you say. Please don't take this the wrong way, take it as constructive feedback, if you spend thousands of dollars on a machine like this I'm sure you can afford a better equipment for the audio, otherwise the video is good, keep them coming please !!!

top speed is 54mph huh? i got the thunder up to 51mph on flatish surface so really your paying for something that looks cooler and is more stable than the thunder? I imagine acceleration up to top speed is better than thunder though
My thunder isn't stable when going fast. Its damn near dangerous. There need to come an optional bracket for the tube stem cause there is too much wobble and flexing. All thunder users number 1 complaint.

There is a fix for the problem. I'll try to find the link. There is a site selling a clamp that secure the stem tube to stop the wobble effect. Another trick is to balance the stem tube with weight. Not too much, but with accessories like lights, and other stuff to make it more stable at higher speeds.
Xiaomi who? Yeah their e-scooters are notorious for bad inner-tubes & tyre punctures. My unit suffered from a inner-tube 5 months ago. Still works but still haven't serviced it.

That's right. We use a speed limiting wire that if you were to disconnect, your scooter would go dangerously fast and would most likely not comply with city laws. The reason why we do this is that we would not be able to get insurance if we didn't. We want to be sure that we are always around to help you out with customer service and I would be really careful buying from a company that was not insured.
I'm not sure what you are talking about, we filmed it on 5/17 and pushed it out as fast as possible. We were debating redoing it with better sound quality but decided people cared more about timely content than sound quality.

It is a little bit faster, 54 vs 51 mph. X should be more stable. I think Thunder is better, X is just getting too big and heavy. Thunder is already hefty. I don't think you really want to travel 50+ mph on these scooters anyway. 35 on my Thunder is insane imho. The 0-25 acceleration is hilariously funny.

And when you're standing on the scooter the bars shouldn't be even with your crotch. When I stand flat-footed on the ground next to my ultra the bars are even with my chest and I'm 5-11. Although I'm using aftermarket stem and bars. I'm using a Race Face respond 60 mm with a 10 degree rise and a Race Face Chester 1 in riser 740 mm. I know about the proper riding posture and this scooter does not have it. As tall as you are go put some real miles on it and then tell me how you feel afterwards.
@@jpoorr9973 Size 12 shoes here. I forgot to put that in the review, thanks for reminding me. I really like the stance on the X. You can get your rear foot out past the deck of the scooter and rest it against the angled risers. This locks you in a really comfortable position and lets you really push back on the rear of the scooter. This gives even better feedback on cornering and allows you to fully accelerate out of the corner without feeling like you are slipping off the back of the deck. I've been riding it a ton and so far no complaints about riding position. -Brian
I understand the foot plate when you're accelerating but what happens when you're just cruising. You either have to ride with your feet side-by-side which is totally ridiculous or have your foot angled on that plate all the time. And there's no way you can tell me that the bars are high enough. Maybe if your 5ft. There's no way to customize it for your height either. You figure minimotors would know that little kids aren't going to be riding it. Trust me I like the scooter I think it's badass. But the short deck and the short stem is a deal-breaker for me unfortunately.

well as you say, your motorbike does 241km/h but bikes like scooters (Honda elite, Vespa piaggio, Yamaha crypton) do not make that speed... so, I assume he's talking about those bikes.
No need for boots or armor and instead of riding on the streets you can take bike paths and trains instead. Motorcycles need parking, locks, maintenance and insurance too. This isn't a replacement for a motorcycle or car.

Petrol takes 1 minute to put gas. Electric takes minimum 4 hours to charge. Both have their advantages and disadvantages.
