I should mention that they all wanted the gold more than the mission, luckily for them I stayed with the drilldozer to make sure the mission was completed.
This game is all about teamwork at it's core, and with little more than a laser pointer can communicate exactly what's needed for each situation. This is honestly the best live service game currently available, at least in my opinion
I remember spawning in late to a friend's dreadnaught elimination game. All 3 of them were down right as my spawn pod landed on the last dreadnaught lacerator, killing it instantly. I had not realized until after the game when I finally joined their discord VC. Apparently, they were out of ammo and decided to use my pod as a weapon so they kited the thing around my spawn beacon. Worse case scenario, a very low melee boss is face to face with a freshly spawned and very angry driller, best case scenario it dies instantly.
Honestly I will never get mad at DRG, because it is well made, and has one of the most friendly communities. Sadly though, it is a live service game, so it won't be around too much longer
@@benjaminsmith7396 It's not though? It gets continuous updates but the game itself would run fine unsupported. It's peer-to-peer, weekly systems like deep dives and assignments are automated, and it's entirely capable of running offline as it is.

@@benjaminsmith7396 I'm no expert, but I know DRG is peer to peer, so it might be less of an issue than you'd think. How did you not get immediately prepared the moment the sound queue played at the beginning? The bulk sound has been ingraved into my brain at this point
@@caosin3667 You can hear the crassus at the start of the mission though. If you start the mission and there's a detonator already, it's most likely going to be a crassus. This only failed me once on point extraction.
Just remember in that situation, bulk not going for dotty, bulk going for YOU. you gotta get away from dotty when killing it, or put up a shield, or have scout cryo-cancel the explosion.
I did a couple clutches as Scout. Probably the best of them was this: -Escort Duty, Doretta down to 1 panel -everyone but me down -Bulk Detonator next to Doretta, about to wail down on a player close to her So what I did was try to distract the Bulk, didn't work. Then kept shooting it until it was nearly dead. Repaired Doretta to 100%, killed the Bulk. It explodes and does no damage. Then revived everyone and we actually managed to win with everyone getting to droppod. That was my Karl moment. And for those wondering on the how, if you repair a Doretta panel to 100%, she gets 4 seconds of invincibility similar to Hiveguards and Korlok Cores.
I once had a game where we lost both of Doretta's treads since a teammate decided to start a machine event while one of us was afk and the other hadn't placed any turrets yet. The moment we started the Ommoran Heart drilling a Bulk Detonator spawned INSIDE Doretta.
I once had a Detonator spawn with the dozer beeing on 0ne healthbar, and the guy just walked in the drill, like what are we supposed to do I cant Steeve him and givehim a leash xD
Ah, shame. This happened because you guys are a couple of Greenbeards (not insulting you guys, you are all new to the game, same as every player ever was) Here's the deal, whenever you hear a Bulk Detonator since you landed with the Drop Pod at the beggining of the match, then that's your cue to acknowledge: "Oh hey... a CRASSUS. Driller we need you to scout ahead with the Driller's so Doretta (and us) don't explode." PS: Bulk Detonators and Crassus Detonators operate under different rules. A Bulk Detonator "might" randomly spawn "during a swarm". A Crassus Detonator has a random chance of spawning "with the cave", kinda like a Huuli Hoarder. This means that if you spawn into a mission, and you already hear the sounds of a bulk, then that is a Crassus, and not a regular bulk :)
And I thought I played a little too much, but this is a case of randomly joining public matches, in progress. I usually join before the mission starts or has just started. Joining near the end, usually means you want experience without having to work for it.
@@benjaminsmith7396 though I'm certain there are players like that, sometimes it's just the match they can find that suits the class they want to play. But in the case of joining while the mission is already started, it's always good practice to ask teammates questions of what they have already done. I usually first check my map to see if they found lost packs or cargo crates, and then go: "Any Events?" "You guys need *a class resource that I have*?" If you notice anything out of the ordinary you can always point it out as well. :)

This is a real fear I feel every time I play escort mission.
Shred through dotty like toilet paper. Haz 5 spawn rate doesn't help.

I fear them on salvage missions
