Melissa, thank you so much for sharing your experience with your weight loss journey. It sounds so much like mine, regarding the intermittent fasting, lowering my calorie intake and binging on the weekends. Yea I didn’t realize how much it was hurting my health and my weight loss. I was actually working against my progress! Today is the 5 of July ‘22 on my and I’m going to begin having breakfast that incorporates protein and carbs and focus on strength training and I will send pictures later on my progress! Thanks again! I’m actually excited about this!

    -Lift heavy weights
    5-6 days a week
-1 hr generally not to exceed 15 extra min
-Always challenging the workout, more reps, heavier weight , etc,,,
    -Calorie deficit/ macros higher protein
    -Carbs : yes
-Non weight lifting days less 50 grams carbs
-figure out if you can handle cheat meals , she eliminated
-If you can’t, then she suggested do it less often such as alternate weeks,,
-Cardio: one hour a week start
1 hour a day , fasted in the morning Then after weights an additional 30 min
-❤️mindset - get rid of self doubt

I had all kind of symptoms and injuries (baker cysts, shoulder impingement, 3 day-lasting migraines....the list would never stop) but now, since I am on HRT replacing the missing hormones since 6 months, I am slowly getting back on track. I gained 10 kg in 7 years, 7 years ago I had a bodyfat percentage of 16 and today 26%. One of the things I've always struggled with us how to measure macros in food. I have FitPal and it gave me percentages etc but I could never translate it into real food?!!! Now that is discipline at its best 👌 👍 💯💪.
I haven't been that lean in almost 30 years and I was considered malnourished then by my doctor at the age of 25. But I did not have the muscle either. I just was naturally skinny. But then the weight finally caught up with me in my 40s after going through so much stress in my marriage. So I totally understand what you may have gone through.
I've been separated now since 2019 and feel at peace without him but there are still emotional scars that are left along with the weight that came from stress eating and menopause.
However, you look great at every stage in your pictures. But I totally understand the mental of being satisfied with yourself.
Keep doing what you do for yourself and keep inspiring others.
I know you have definitely inspired me 💯💖

That's why I started on my fitness Journey too, huge break up after years of marriage! I still go to the gym regularly, but I've just discovered Motivational Melissa, and will be following her incredible videos! I'm 62, I exercise a lot, but my body does not look like hers!

I've always struggled with my weight. I calculated I'm eating around 3000 calories on average. My plan is slowly cutting down: 1 month = 2750 calories, 2 month= 2500 cal, 3rd month= 2250 cal 4th month= 2000 cal until I get to 1500 cal. I'm doing it this way because I don't want to shock my body too much and want to make sure this is sustainable. Unfortunately I have a condition where my vocal cords close and therefore it affects oxygen intake so I'm not sure if I can't lift heavy as I tend to notice my vocal cords close. My vocal cords allow me to walk and run if I breath a certain way (or so my medical specialist said but seemed lost when I asked about weight lifting). So I have to focus on food only. I hope I can attain my goal: Losing 80-85lbs. Every time I've lost weight I always have loose skin with fat. My goal is to be lean and only have lose skin (not competitive lean but you get the idea). You are right about mindset too. I don't trust my own. So I'm trying something I've never tried before. I'm a baby believer in Christ, so I'm lifting this up to Him because he knows I've struggled with this my entire life. Only He knows me better than myself, and He is telling that it's okay. That I don't need to go to food to find comfort. I don't need to use food as a pacifier to help me deal with the hurt in my life. In the end, this momentary pleasure of eating without being hungry is a lie because it can bring disease and it makes my selfishness in comfort seeking grow. Is he not enough for me? Is his death on the cross not enough proof he loves me and dispel all the hurt in my life? I pray for a holy change in my mind to not only accomplish permanent weight loss but also His purpose for me ✝️💕 Merry Christmas and subscribed ☃️

50 calorie reduction is literally nothing. 500 calorie reduction off the bat will start to change your body.

@@Liz-ic6jb 3000-2750= 250, 2750-2500=250 and so on. My goal is to teach my body letting go of food I don't need without shocking it. It's more about changing my mind. I have time for weight loss😃

Do u have a workout plan for us to follow to get those kinds of results after 40? I’m 48 and I’d be happy with 1/3 of what u achieved with weight loss and muscle definition. Please let us know how much it costs and how to access. You’re a beautiful inspiration!!!!! I also got deep into the physical thing when my marriage went dead and now that we’re getting divorced I’ve progressively become more and more driven! It’s a life saver for me mentally. I can’t go a day without anything and when I do, I just don’t feel good. 🙏🙏🙏

I've stopped having my once a week treat and I think I might make it a monthly one instead. I've upped my protein and started weighing and logging food. Weigh in tomorrow, so I'm hoping to have lost a little. Thanks for all your suggestions 🥰

I found you on TikTok and I absolutely love ❤️ your content. I’m always cold and never thought about cold and being lean having effect, definitely doing some research 🧐 on that. I struggle with weight issues my whole life, up and down, up and down. Then, I took a another route which is still a struggle and now trying to maintain in my 40’s is even harder. Love the strategies you provide in keeping balance especially mental mindset and having enough protein, which I try to focus on daily. Thank you for sharing 😊👍.

Wow. I tried CrossFit and I couldn’t do it mentally. I was in a class of 20 something year olds and I was always the last one done. Even thou they were very nice and encouraging I couldn’t get out of my head that I was bring them down. That’s why weights are so much more fun for me. Im only competing with myself.

Melissa - thank you so much for being so vulnerable and tell your story. You mentioned all the things you did to get competition ready however I have to believe you also hired a coach. How else could you have figured out how to do all of the things you needed to do in a six month time frame? Who was your coach? Do you do 1:1 training now or only your programs?
