Nah it was one of the few times Monroe let some backward bigoted thinking take over. He is mostly beyond this ridiculous tribal thinking and I even though I get why he is mad personally, he should realize keeping that fire of hate alive is not helping anyone.
You can tell Orson has nothing but respect and gratitude for Rosalee when she said Nick and the others should be able to get help despite Monroe and Orson's feud.
Rosalee does have a point about the letting the old feud go.....but in all fairness this isn't a random wesen, the guy did put a shotgun in monroes face so you can kinda understand where he's coming from
Well, it's PART of the reason Rosalie is awesome. She throws bricks like fastballs, swings a mean right hook and cooks spells like a born hexenbeast. Gotta love a girl with skills.
I can understand Monroe and Rosalee’s point here. Monroe’s friend was killed by Orson and he got threatened by him with a shotgun right on his head. To him, there’s no way for him to forget about this and letting it go. I mean, who would want to let go of someone who killed your friend and was going to kill you with a gun pointed right on your head? Plus Orson’s attitude toward Angelina’s death... can't say he didn't do it on purpose. In addition to this, Nick and Hank were the ones who brought him out because they need his help, that’s like as if they ignored how he feels and betrayed him, not to mention Rosalee is not standing on his side. On the other hand, Rosalee puts the two kids as the priority, it doesn’t seem wrong since she really has nothing to do with their feud. To her, that’s something in the past and she doesn’t want this feud to last forever, hatred doesn't solve any problems but only makes them worse. Though I would say if that’s the murderer who killed her brother instead of Monroe’s friend, I doubt she would be as calm as now she does. So it’s really about the perspective they are on, there’s no definite right or wrong answer to this issue.
@@icestar5745 Thank you for the correction here. I do understand how Orson feels and expected his reaction to be like that. Referring back to my last sentence, there's no absolute right or wrong, but only viewing from different positions. Monroe was close to Angelina and her cause of death is related to him so he felt guilty and can't tolerate Orson's words, but Orson also has his point because his close family members were killed by Angelina, of course he wouldn't sympathize Monroe's feelings.
I don't think Rosalee owuld have been calm BUT I DO still think she would have still wanted to help and do the right thing. The characters in the show were all great and have their moments. But Rosalee is a character that's written in a way that you don't see these days with how Hollywood is percieving 'strong female characters'.
Add the fact that many wesen look at Rosalie and Monroe as an interracial relationship that should not happen... They are already bucking biases and discrimination.
Watching this has got me REALLY interested in the origins of that feud. If Grimm ever has that sequel they were suggesting, I recommend having either an episode or arc where the Grimm lead has to read up on the origin.
I don’t think there’s any way to know exactly what happened, not without a prequel-esque episode that goes back 1000 or so years. That said, considering the way blutbad traditionally act, it’s a pretty safe bet that they did start it.
It's based on fairy tales. This one in particular is Three Little Pigs. With the Bauerschwein being the little pigs and the Blutbad being the big bad wolf.
Bringing Orson back was a great decision made by the show. In general, all the supporting characters that keep reappearing here and there, sometimes seasons apart. Great consistency. This is what makes a quality show. For me, Grimm is right up there with Babylon 5 and Farscape for best TV shows of all time.
I mean Orson killed one of his best friends, in his house, then proceeded to go back to his house with a shotgun and threatened him. So Monroe was justified for his anger against Orson here, but he should have let it go at least till the case was over. Regardless people need to stop acting like Monroe is stuck in the past or whatever in the comments
I agree with you. He's not stuck in the past. He's like vegetarian. He doesn't hunt pigs or anything like that. Angelina might have killed his brothers, but Monroe had nothing to do with it. Like the chef did, he lumped all Blûtbad together.
I see all sides. Angelina did kill Orson’s brothers for no reason other than for fun, Orson killed Hap who had nothing to do with his brothers deaths and There’s better priorities such as finding a murderer who killed 2 people so you need all the help you need
K... let's see if someone kill you cousin, and months later you open the doors of you house and receive the murderer with a big hug full of love and good will. Then you can try to talk like that trying to be cool on the internet.
@@meganbateman5634 No one can blame Monroe for his reaction. If you've ever had a friend and relative murdered you wouldn't want to see the person that did you wrong. We had two dogs in our garage and one had to be put down due to having an advanced case of rabies, the one that didn't get rabies saw the guy putting his pal to rest and he did not take that well and tried to lunge at him and it took me and my brother to hold him down. Everytime he sees that guy he immediately tries to lunge at him with the intent to kill, judging from the way his teeth are exposed along with the intensity of how our dog stares at him. Considering that Monroe is a werewolf I can imagine the kind of uncontrollable hatred since dogs and wolves are very social animals and anyone messing with their pack is considered an enemy worth killing.
I wonder, can some wesen really work with others? I mean, most of them are made to be a pain in the a** against other poor wesen, like that catwesen that hunted the bunnies.
I'm running through the series (again 😁) and I watched the episode where Hap died just yesterday. So maybe the wound is still fresh, but I'm kinda leaning toward Monroe's side here. Rosalee's right in that the feuds need to stop, but we can't pretend like none of that happened. Orson's locked up for a reason and he needs to remember that.
On the second thought I take my words about Anglina back at some point... She may BE a hot-head, but you should've seen her face when Monroe said he was willing to take a risk when he drank the Deadfaint. No to mention the concearn on her face when she thought Monroe was REALLY dead plus her rescue breathing him... She really DID love him... So his reation on Orson's gloat about Angelina being dead is very reasonable.
Monroe DEFINITELY went berserk for the right reason! Can't say I defend Orson for his behaviour, but Angelina really IS a bitch! (Let alone her intention of killing Nick) And not the smartest one... If it wasn't for Angelina's bloodthurst, Hap wouldn't probably die... Not only Angelina had Orson's brothers killed in cold blood, but she's actually responsible for Hap's death, whether she acknowledges this or not... Monroe was right. If she stayed, Hap would still be alive! But no! SHE decided to have FUN and left her brother alone without thinking about any consequences like some brain-dead jenny-ass! Assuming she HAD any brain... And got BOTH her brothers killed. And then she nearly had a bloodbath in Portland that day, Blutbaden-Bauerschwwein feud or not! He-hey, it's twenty first century outdoors! It's time to BEHAVE! Be CIVILIZED! Rosalee CERTAINLY has a point about hatred among Wesen and old-world stupidity... And yet Orson is not an innocent sheep either. Killing a man in point blank range, arson, break-in, tresspassing, threatening another person with a shotgun... THESE actions befit a CRIMINAL, not a cop! There ARE corrupt and crooked cops, sure! and yet they ARE criminals nonetheless. And CRIMINALS need to be PUNISHED! Nick's job is to stop the creature before more innocent lives are lost. In this line of work you can not let your personal feelings get in the way.
