Happy Thanksgiving Mr. and Mrs. History Guy!
@Yahir Fernando More friggen spam! At least update your algo so it's not posting on two year old comments, ya giant dope!
I’m currently doing an exchange year in Southampton, England and the house of my student accommodation I’m living in is named after Martin Frobisher. It’s an incredible coincidence that you made a video about him and I love it since I always wondered about the story behind that name. So Thank you for that!
Happy Thanksgiving to those across the pond.
cplcabs Same to those on the "other side" of the pond.
Thank you, friends.
Thank you friend.
And we return those well wishes back to you, cplcabs and yours.
Cheers and peace to you and to all!!!
Happy thanksgiving from England 🏴 loved your latest piece.
Happy Thanksgiving. Thank you. I'm a Canadian fan, and I still chuckle over your, "A fireman and a clown walk into a brothel", episode. As a Native Torontotonian, it made me proud! Keep up the excellent work! Bravo, Sir.
I would have thought a denizen of Toronto would have been a Torontonian, but do love the extra syllable in there. After a previous mayor of yours got done with the city's reputation it might have been a TorontOHNO!nian, I'd think.
Same here. And even though I also grew up in Toronto, I had never heard of the incident.
Yes! That too is one of my favorites!

Here in Norfolk, on the East coast of Britain, we are also having a thanksgiving meal with our family. Best wishes to you, your wife and your family and thank you for teaching the joys of history as it was never taught that way in our schools
Prayers and blessings to you and your Mrs on this Thanksgiving!!! Thank you again for your great love of history that deserves to be remembered.
I am thankful for being able to watch this again. Thank you and your beautiful family for bringing this very interesting and well prepared and presented story.
It is always a pleasure to see both your smiling faces and hear the enthusiasm you have for the history that does need to be remembered. Thank you both. Your topics are diverse and amusing and open the mind to things we know not. At least not as deeply. Thank you again. I believe you're popular here, up north, because it seems there are many here that love history. Thanks for remembering Canada.
I thoroughly appreciate these tales from several centuries ago, mostly because the way you share your research makes it sound like these events have just occurred. You're taking something hundreds of years old, and making it fresh, exciting, entertaining, and most importantly, educational.
I love how you mine nuggets of history everyone else has forgotten. Thanks.
Thanks for not being one of those trying to rewrite history.
that was a lovely touch to have Mrs History join at the end. i was thinking the same thing, he was not a very good spouse.
Happy Thanksgivings to you and your beautiful wife~!
Best and most anticipated videos on the internet.
Love the glee in your eyes when you mention at the beginning of your video the word « piracy.». As you have already stated, everybody loves a story with pirates. And you cannot have a better way to conclude your story than having the awesome Mrs. History Guy make a guest appearance. I am very thankful.
And a Happy Thanksgiving back to you folks! I am so thankful we live in a place where people such as yourselves can dig back into the deep, dark, unbelievable past.
Frobisher was the guy that reinstated the grammar school that I attended as a young adolescent in the 1970s: Normanton Grammar School. He was memorialised in the house system there with Frobisher house, although that house had disappeared by the time I got there (we had Levett, Freston, Ward and Dodsworth houses).
Our Barrack block at CFS Cornwallis, Nova Scotia, was named after Frobisher.
Amazing how many times in history the thin line between good guy and bad guy is crossed. Privateers as seen here. Sheriffs in the old west who were outlaws in other areas...
Have a Happy and Safe Thanksgiving.
To the History Guy, Gal ,Cat and everyone else Happy Thanksgiving!!! From TEXAS..
I second that from Far far west Texas. 😁
byron flynt - Thank You Mr. flynt and a very Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. .....Just a guy from Florida
And a hearty, happy Thanksgiving to the History Gal and her "better than Frobisher" spouse the History Guy.
Always interesting content - even to me in Australia. Happy Thanksgiving guys. 👍
Even to me in Iceland too, mate! Very... helpful, helping my common sense grow and flourish, one might say.

Happy Thanksgiving lovers of history one and all
Happy thanksgiving History guy and gal! Still blown away with how often you upload these videos. Keep it up please, I love looking forward to them!
Very interesting! You make history non-boring.
He reminds me of my 8th grade History teacher, Mr. Haines. He made history non boring as well. 🙂
He also owned a Delorean and you can't get more cool than that.
@Arjen Zwamborn : Good point.
Wonderfully well done as always. Is the plaque behind you recognition from RUclips?
Happy thanksgiving from a fan in Canada.
Good story. One of my elementary school history teachers told us that the motivations of the men of times past was "God, glory, and gold," usually pursued in reverse order.
Thank you for what you do Mr and Mrs History
And THAT'S why, to this day when you think of Thanksgiving, you think of Pirates !!
Well, I do now!
And September 19th P-)
Thanks you and yours. This is my American Thanks Giving to all here. World history has brought us all together. Due to the History Guy. Kudos to him and his wife.
Yep, Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours Mr.History Guy! My favorite channel on RUclips!

You're doing a wonderful job of digging the forgotten history.. I'm thankful to you for the knowledge gained from you guys...Happy thanksgiving guys...
A Happy Thanksgiving to you both! Your "short snippets of history" are something that I am quite thankful for.
I would love it if you did a piece on the French 1789 Tennis Court Oath.
I would like to hear about that myself. I have never heard of it but would like to learn more @G Kuljian.
Ditto!
Happy Thanksgiving, Mr. & Mrs. "History"...thank you for all of the work that you two put into bringing us such excellent stories.
This year, one thing I'm thankful for is this channel!
Thank you. I look forward to your history lessons!
Happy Thanksgiving! Among the many things I am thankful for this year is the History Channel. Thank you.
Fabulous presentation sir!
As someone who portrays Sir Martin Frobisher in living history presentations, this is a wonderful episode! Thank you!
A Toast to you all! May we all see many more thanksgivings... And many, many more History Guy episodes!
It would appear that I have become obsessed with The History Guy Channel. This is by far my favorite RUclips channel and I've taken to watching your videos whenever I have a spare moment, even drawing the ire of my coworkers. Thank you for your videos please keep them coming. I haven't seen them all yet but enjoy all of them. And this is a comment..... that is worth responding to. - Tommy

Nice to see the lovely History Lady again!!
Happy Thanksgiving Mr. & Mrs. history. I so enjoy these snippets of history.
Thank You once again and have a Happy Thanksgiving as well.
I give Thanks for all the many hours of entertainment you have provided for us. It is no small gift.
H.G. and Mrs. H.G., Love this episode and like so many, the specific story is less of interest that the inspiration derived by the subject. In this comfortable21st Century, we live such lives of relative ease. I have friends who are nearly terrified of the thought of driving or moving 100 miles from their homes... and Frowbisher got in a ship that was kept from leaking by stuffing rope in the cracks and time and time again, sailed to the far ends of the earth to be with people with whom he had no means to easily communicate. Such lessons of courage and... a willingness to be uncomfortable for greater benefit, is the frequent lesson of the History Channel. Again, thank you for what you do and I am proudly a patron.
Yay! Mrs History guy makes an appearance again! Lovely to see the both of you. Happy Thanksgiving!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge on this subject and sparking a newfound interest and curiosity within me that I thought I lost forever. Thanks you and I hope that you have an awesome thanksgiving!!
Thank You! Happy Thankgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! Thank you for all you do 💜
Happy Thanksgiving, History Guy -- and Ms. History Guy! I think I like the episodes better with both of you.
And a very happy and grateful Thanksgiving to The History Couple!
Recently found about you, subscribed immediately. Love your stuff. Now, I got hooked on maritime history after reading about Jacob Nagle. Started his career serving in his father's artillery regiment in the Revolutionary War, became a privateer, captured by the British, became and English seaman, first transport bringing convicts to Australia, helped convey Napoleon to Elba, Battle of Trafalgar, and just about every major maritime event from the Rev War to the 1820's (not sure about that date)

A heartfelt Happy Thanksgiving to you and the Mrs. I only recently found your channel and am thankful that I have!
Thank you for your videos. Happy holidays
Great as always
Thanks for sharing
Happy thanksgiving, history guy and very beautiful history girl!
Thanks giving is only celebrated in one place in Australia - Nolfoke Island. Though technically an independent protectorate, it was the base for so many US whalers that the Thanksgiving Day was adopted.
Never knew this! Thank you.
Norfolk Island. I'd heard that it was a whaling station, but didn't know about the U/S celebration there. Thank-you.
My favorite channel! Thanks.
Thanks and the same to you!
I'm very thankful that I can watch what you do. Thanks.
Hi there my name is Wayne and I'm from Alberta Canada and you guys make a wonderful team that I appreciate each and every time I watch your channel. I look forward to watching and appreciating all of the content to come. Take care and all the best in the future. 🙃😎
Another great video! Happy Thanksgiving to you, History Guy and Gal, and to everyone else. ;)
Another great story I'd never even heard before
This has pretty much become my favorite youtube channel
Keep up the good work guys
Thank you and may you both have a very Happy Thanksgiving.
Happy Thanksgiving Mr. History Guy! I grew up in a town in Western PA (Avella) that came in to existence because of the Wabash Railroad. I've read about the railroad and it seems to have quite a story that it seems few people know or remember. Sounds like some history that deserves to be remembered.
Happy Thanksgiving to the History Guy and the lovely History Gal!
Happy Thanksgiving, Mr. & Mrs. History Guy. I'm particularly thankful for having discovered THG channel. Kindest regards from Caracas, Venezuela.
I really enjoy your videos! I would love to see you cover the Niihau incident. It’s definitely history that deserves to be remembered!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Another excellent video from the most interesting channel on youtube. You are a great educator and I'm sure the subjects you chose and your enthusiasm will bring the love of history to many people, especially students. A Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours from Canada. BTW History gal's hair is awesome.
Thank you for this channel it reminds me of one of my history teachers WAAAY back in high school he is the one who caused me to"love history" Happy thanks giving...
For the first time I was seriously put off, when looking for that rare bird, the episode I haven’t heard, when Heidi the Happy Hippy as I think she styles herself, aka Mrs History Guy, stated that we are celebrating each other? None of that nonsense! We are Thanking God for his blessings no matter how Grand or small. Thanking GOD has always been a part of Thanksgiving and will remain such, even in these God-less times. I’ve vented, please carry on. Thank You as always.
Happy Thanksgiving, Mr. and Mrs. History Guy!
Happy Thanksgiving from Canada! So much about Martin Frobisher that I did not know! Thanks for another great history lesson.
Another excellent episode. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. Take care.
Always makeing history here 😊, always enjoy your videos!
Every one of these reinforces the feeling that you're a class act. Thank you for continuing to educate and entertain us.
From Canada, thank you. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
Happy Thanksgiving. Another fine episode. :)
Happy Thanksgiving to The History Guy Team from Berlin Germany. Also for teaching us an extra (side)lesson!
Happy Thanksgiving History Guy and Gal!
Happy Thanksgiving! I thank you for this channel. I love history too
Have a Happy Thanksgiving Mr. and Mrs. History Guy.. from Canada.
Yay! Mrs. History Guy is back! And I *love* your hair! And History Guy, I like the way you smile when Mrs. History Guy is with you. You’re clearly in love, and it reminds me of how Dr. Science smiles at me. May the two of you and your family have a very blessed Thanksgiving!
Another superb video
I moved to Frobisher Bay now Iqaluit for work in the eighties took a couple wives had five children it was quite an adventure in a remarkable land.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
Thank you for another interesting episode. In the good old days it was hard to tell the good guys from the bad without a program. Happy Thanksgiving, Mr & Mrs History Guy.
The good guys wore white hats!
Love you guys. Happy Thankgiving
Happy Thankgiving to your family, those who help make this wonderful channel possible and all around the world who enjoy this channel as much as I do.
Another awesome video. Thanks History guy. I'd love to see you do one on the B-17 "Ye olde Pub" where the German Ace refused to shoot it down the badly shot up aircraft and decades later became good friends or on the B-17 #666 which fought it's way home from a mission through gauntlet of Japanese fighters in the Pacific with the crew being highly decorated for their actions, both stories are amazing. Thanks for doing what you love.
Make a video about Carsten Niebuhr and the Danish expedition to Arabia in 1761-67. It was the first Western expedition to Felix Arabia - modern day Yemen - since antiquity and the area was swathed in myth. The whole expedition died one by one, only Niebuhr survived and walked home to Denmark from Yemen.
Niebuhr was a cartographer and was merely meant to draw maps and prospectuses of towns, but as the other expedition members died, he gradually took over all of their commissions. He went native and traveled around the Arab world and was considered dead for years. His diary and his maps were used for hundreds of years and he was the first to copy a cuneiform inscription.

Thanks Felix. That sounds like a fascinating subject. I have never heard that story, so would like to know more about him, preferably from sourceswhich are more reliable than Wikipedia. :-) Greetings from across the Drink (The North Sea).
