As an OW2 launch player, I'm already getting sick of this constant fumbling from Blizz. I've let them disappoint over and over and given them the benefit of the doubt but things keep spiralling down and I'm getting burnt out not on the game, but on the decision making from those in charge. I was so excited for the PvE so I could leave behind the constantly shit matchmaking and balancing and just have fun. Now I don't even know if I want to get invested in the story mode since you'll probably have to keep paying every season for the next chapter or it'll be gone forever.
Imagine killing your game not once with giving no updates for 2 years, not twice with making a really scummy monetization system, but 3 times for not delivering the ENTIRE SELLING POINT of the sequel.
no, they made overwatch 2 because they needed to introduce a new monetization, but since people buyed OW1, they could not just "oh btw, now the game is free", so they needed to make a new game instead.
They basically gave us a downgraded version of overwatch 1 there's absolutely nothing different they got rid of all the good stuff and gave us "A brand new and improved game"

Now we have things like starwatch , and that mode was shit. P.s kept watching and saw the roadmap of season 5 and saw ‘on fire’ coming back, and laughed out loud. So a highlight of season 5 is a something from the original that for some reason was scrapped, and now because it’s coming back, it’s one of the selling points of season 5 and the roadmap. Holy shit; that shit is embarrassing.

I had every legendary skin that I thought was worth getting in Overwatch. Got them fair and square just by playing the game. Then it became Overwatch 2, I couldn't play because I didn't want to verify who I was or whatever that whole deal was at the beginning, my brother eventually convinced me to get it since it was free and I logged in to see that all my skins were gone and locked behind pay walls. Yeah, I'll never play this trash game again.

very happy i did not invested a single cent on OW2. I was tempted to buy last month's battle pass (the one witout a hero inside), but if they don't take their players seriously, why should i support them?

I don't play OW. I never had and never will. What I do like about OW however is watching the whoe community time and time again. This is increadibly petty of ne, and I know people love this game, that's why they try to defend is as much as they can. That's why I got the shit out of me when I first commented about THIS very topic in 2019. I said that it will be cancelled somewhere in development, and fans of the game were so mad of me. Well I turned out to be right.

My main question of all of this is “WHY?” You announced PVE 4 years ago. You released a sequel to a game because PVE was supposed to come about 1 year ago. You have been promising PVE since then. And still we have no PVE. It doesn’t make sense? You scrap 4 years of work because of what? It’s so annoying. I’ve only really been playing overwatch because I’ve been waiting for PVE. And now that it’s literally being trashed I have little reason to play overwatch. It’s stupid, why would they scrap a plan 4 years into the making
