Hi Jente, I hope you're OK xx ❣️ I agree your Handspun Scarf looks elegant and also looks fabulous. The colours are amazing. Thankyou so much for sharing your Weaving video podcast. Happy Spinning and Weaving Fibre Friend 🎡🐑🥰 Take care and stay safe Lots of love and Big Hugs Jen xxxx ❤️❤️🫂🫂🐑
Beautiful scarf! Love seeing your weaving project. I am more of a spinster but I do dabble in weaving. I'm part of a weaver's guild, half of our guild is weavers and half are spinsters. Your fibre shenanigans and chaos approach wonderful!
What a cool scarf! When you did the reveal shots, I felt like you were trying to be very serious, but your inner chaos demon was waiting to get out and do a funny dance :P
I have an old Union Loom. I started out with an 18 inch warp, 10 ends per inch(epi), 7 1/2 yards. I edge sewed the resulting material together to get a 35 inch width. Milling and dyeing have given me a 32 inch material. The next time I increased to 12 epi on the warp and this reduced shrinkage by half. There is always shrinkage with wool and cotton yarn.
@@MijnWoldenPlain Weave as wide as you can then weave three more times the same length. Sew the edges together with your yarn by catching the warp not the weft. It is called the Mattress stitch here. I never used a rigid heddle, but I would think that you are stuck with whatever sett your heddle is. I got tired of scarves and dishtowels and needed wider fabric.
I love it!!! And thank you for causing me to broaden my definition of elegance. I would also go with sophistication. Also heavy medal weaving should be a band name :-)
It's the Bookish cardigan by Annie Lupton! You can find it here: www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/bookish-cardi I love this cardigan and the pattern, highly recommend it.
When Plain weaving I know that when my shuttle comes in from a specific direction (left or right) that corresponds with the up or down position of my heddle. But on every other technique it's sometimes tricky yes 😅
very nice and elegant

The colors really are perfect together. 💕

😍
I like your dancing and singing performance... next time with real sound please!
oh yes and the scarf looks good, too 👍
Don't want trouble with the RUclips police for using copyrighted music, and my microphone died 😅
What a cool scarf! When you did the reveal shots, I felt like you were trying to be very serious, but your inner chaos demon was waiting to get out and do a funny dance :P
Busted 😅 Thank you 🥰

That's advanced weaver's speak I have yet to learn how to decipher 😅

Omg love these autumn colours. The brownish orange you have on that clasped weft near the end especially just Hits Different.
Congrats!
And to think my husband has an entire sweater in that yarn and he only wears it around the house 😅
Loved the video, though not of any use to me , but your way of explaining is so elegant 😃😃😃..
Elegant is the last adjective I would personally use to describe my way of explaining, but thank you very much for the compliment!

Haha I'd definitely listen to that band 😁

Do you sometimes forget wether the red thing just came from the up or the down position? 🤔
