I love watching people who enjoy what they are doing. The conductor is obviously having a good time as well as the drummer and the violinist. As a pianist/accompanist with over 35 years experience, I can tell you the watching someone having that much enhthusiasm and joy on their face and in their playing makes all the hours in the practice room worth it.
Music like this is why I became a composer. The thing I love most about music is that it transcends language, culture, race, politics, religion and everything else. It strips all that stuff away and leaves you with a universal language of the heart and soul that anyone from any time, age or background can understand and relate to. I may never make a lot of money from my music, but I'm going to have a darn good time doing what I love and trying to move people.
I don't want to be biased, because I'm from Belgrade and have been at the concert (this was my first time hearing this music actually), and usually I don't say many nice things about anything RTS... but this is just superb. By far the best version on RUclips, the most clean and coherent sound. I'm kinda proud.
I'm not Romanian, I have not been to this concert but I do enjoy this track in general and totally have to agree that this one is the best one can listen to not just on YT. I like the performance, the energy, clarity and harmony in the orchestra. Many better known orchestras that played this song cannot claim to have achieved the same.
This one is by far the most incredible and epic Caribbean medley ever, OMG. RTS performed each song in the medley very slow when it should be grand and very fast when it should be tense. And most of all, I was so fascinated by seeing how each player and the conductor fell into this music entirely and performed with such soul. You guys rock, RTS!!!!

+Thousand Fangs Ironically, the entire Pirates soundtrack was originally done on a computer. If you re-watch the first films you can see how ridiculously horrible the synthesized score sounds. It was only after the popularity of the movies that orchestras started to play the pieces.
Haha I haven't paid attention to the Titanic-soundtrack. I think the medley they played in this video is an orchestration done by someone other than Zimmer. I specifically remembering playing it in band many years ago. It's still great.
So good! It's a pity the audio quality isn't better. This orchestra is so much more in tandem than the Auckland symphony orchestra when they're playing the same piece.

By todays standards our American fore fathers and founders could be considered terrorist. Remember I did not state are but could by many historical accounts of there actions. Ben Franklin was on Black Beards ship as a child deck hand and trained well by Edward Teach. For if a pirate is a free soul then maybe pirates are why we are free today in America.
