I would be onboard with that, but I'm not sure how much of the audience would be there waiting. Their dlc pricing turned a lot of people off, so they would also have to rethink their approach on that.
The problem is they fail to comply to all the fans concern. Like adding more matches like cage & coffin match. Plus rosters like Evil Uno, Saraya, Mercedes Mone, etc should be released regularly. The developer really disappoint me completely. I stop playing AEW Fight Forever now & playing WWE 2K18 in my switch more.
Or have a deluxe edition where you automatically unlock everything..... i haven't touched aew fight forever due to half of the content behind a paywall
Wwe2k24 wrestlemania edition is a paywall. The additional content you get cost 40 percent more than the base game and even then you had to pay for the wyatt pack. Most of the dlc and locked wrestlers were free in previous years and often retired or deceased. If you got the deluxe edition you only got the dlc and not the wyatt pack and paid 30 percent more than the base game and all the old or deceased wrestlers were still locked.😅
It's cool how the first SmackDown! game got you more involved as a fan of WWE's shows. Similar story fore me but only difference I'm a bit younger and was a casual fan in the late-90s but after playing WWE SD! Shut Your Mouth on PS2 in 2003 (My Dad bought it for me for 6.99 a little after Here Comes The Pain released) I fell in love with WWE weekly shows a lot!
It really bums me out that this game didnt do better. I think Fight Forever was a good base but needed to be more fleshed out or more time in the oven. First impressions are important and they came out half cocked. It's a real shame because im dying for more good wrestling games to play.
AEW, NJPW, CMLL, Stardom, DDT, TJPW are promotions with kind of a strategic alliance. Fire Pro Wrestling World had NJPW and Stardom wrestlers. I think it would be awesome if they made another Fire Pro with ALL these promotions, since they often crossover IRL! Fire Pro Wrestling World came out in 2017, so a new one could come any time I think.
Give the tag teams their real entrance, and cutscenes will there be if a superstar is injured. Get paid more than 2k with THQ by your side, they will give you the best ideas. 2k vs Yukes, and THQ games.
Why do people assume yukes would have to do it the engine is built their job is done....if they go to another publisher the base game does not change only what didn't work because poor planning and execution
I think the first game can still be saved if idiots don’t continue to add non related wrestling things to the game. They knew they couldn’t compete in the CAW dept they should’ve scrapped it and added a wardrobe feature to current stars, downloaded created clothes and gear so you could update Luchasaurus to Killswitch or Toni Storm to her Timeless gimmick. The mini games were another wasted feature, instead more match types, arenas or create your own PPV would’ve been better. I would’ve like to see this game turn into a greatest AEW all stars roster where you could add guys like Ospreay or Lashley and Mercedes and have them face Cody, Punk and Jade. This game has so much potential but wasted resources, time and money on wrestlers who think they want to be game developers and the end result is what you got
My wwe2k game is used simply to create rosters from other companies. So my 2023 and 2024 AEW wrestling games are wwe2k23 and wwe2k24. 😅 Yukes made one of the worst wrestling games ever in Fight Forever and the best the pre 2k era. 😅
I have WCW, NJPW, and AEW Universe's in 2K24, so I know what you mean. My AEW Universe is better than Fight Forever, which is a sad commentary on that game.
There are 3 main options. Yukes who's kinda known as the wrestling game company. 2K who's a sports giant although they currently make WWE, and EA who's the other sports giant. It sounds like AEW burnt bridges with Yukes. 2K is WWE so I don't think they'd make the rivals game. So obvious choice would be EA. However I agree with you Clint, if I was EA, WHY would I want to invest in a game for AEW? Fight Forever flopped, AEW's boss Tony Khan seems to constantly be embarrassing himself, AEW TV ratings keep going down and down and down. What would EA gain from it, by all metrics AEW is a sinking ship. The only positive news about them was AEW actually being able to secure a TV deal. But it doesn't sound like it's helped anything. AEW could turn to a smaller studio, but EA is really the only big available publisher AEW has that could really get a Fight Forever 2 out there, and as things stand, why would EA want to work with them? It just doesn't sound like it'd make any sort of business sense for EA. I'm kinda the same. I actually had no idea I liked wrestling for much of life, it's something I simply never thought about or bothered to watch. It was SmackDown VS RAW 2011 on the PS2 that got me hooked into wrestling and made me seek out an episode of RAW (I also started watching SmackDown as well). Randy Orton VS Christian is still one of the earlier TV feuds I remember, seeing as I really got behind Christian I do wish Orton didn't win virtually every single match they had, but oh well, it is what it is. You also had R-Truth's, the Wyatt Family and I few other things. Crazy WWE managed to hook me in during what's regarded as one of, if not it's worst era. But even then they still had some standout stuff. I guess with my newness at the time it was enough to get me interested.
@maineventstryzer I don't think it would've. Especially if you are picking up yukes. After 2k22 came out 2k has been the best it's ever been outside the restraints in caws and myfaction.
I’ve already said this once about Fight Forever, but I’ll say it again… I had the game for PS4, I made 10 wrestlers, which means that I went through Road To The Elite 10 times and even that was horrible! I mean, it was the same damn thing every single time! I also played between 600 and 700 matches in exhibition mode, which gave me $3.5 million in AEW cash and then my ps4 messed up and I lost all my records! All my created wrestlers were there, but some were missing T-shirts that I gave them along the way during RTTE! And then, you want me to pay $35 more for a handful of new DLC after I had purchased the “Elite Edition”! At one point, I was so bored, I also created 10 arenas, but didn’t get the achievement for it on PS4! 🤬 So what if I went “All In” on WWE 2k24 and paid $160! That game has been out 7 months and I’m still playing it, as opposed to AEW Fight Forever, which barely lasted 3 months for me!
AEW and company booked themselves into a corner. If they wanted to do multiple games...it should've gone like this... AEW Dynamite AEW Rampage AEW Collision AEW All-Out AEW Full Gear AEW Fight Forever 1, 2, 3, whatever just feels lazier than what I suggested.
I think they should work with Bandai Namco to make an AEW themed fighting game similar to Tekken and Soul Calibur while they figure out what to do for a FF2 or their next wrestling game. The AEW fighting game could be like WWE Immortals, going all in with the wrestlers gimmicks.
If they make a new fight forever game it needs to be nothing like first game😅 Yukes have made wrestling games for 25 years but Fight Forever is very poorly made for a modern game. It hasn't even got commentary and they had that on ps1. The movement of the wrestlers is not fluid and the Ai repetitive striking before wrestling is ridiculous. It might have survived if the youtube advertising for it wasn't totally misleading and they had live community creations but it's really clumsy as a game especially for a professional game producer like Yukes.😢
I'd prefer they make a new AEW game series that is sim focused. The consumers have spoken and the arcadey stuff just doesn't sell. Now the big problem with that is that they'd need a big development window. By that time it would be too late. All of the wrestlers in AEW are free to be featured in other promotions/games as long as it isn't WWE or TNA unless they ask beforehand. This means they can be featured in Ultra Pro wrestling or any other game and I think that's honestly the move going forward. They touted Fight Forever as a game they would forever expand upon and once people played it they weren't into it so there was no reason to expand. It didn't offer what the majority wanted therefore it didn't do well.
I think Fight Forever would feel more sim if it had more realistic graphics. I mean they're wrestlers doing wrestling moves. It's not like we got Kenny Omega actually shooting hadokens!
It's amazing how losing Punk led to this stigma that AEW does a poor booking job.... The worst thing they ever did was sign Punk Solo Sikoa has a losing record in 2024, they couldn't be bothered to feed him wins..... And he's in a major storyline... 7-11 on TV & 13-43 including house shows Nakamura has a losing record and now a US champion Kevin Owens has a losing record challenging for a world title Finn Balor has a losing record and challenging for a world title
@maineventstryzer You brought up booking... Yet Tony Khan is not the one with a bunch of guys with losing records for the year in big feuds and title matches
If they make a new game, they should avoid using Fight Forever branding. That has a stigma now. They should just name it after one of their PPV's.
Took the words out of my mouth lol.
10:29 I wanna see a game with all the federations
I think they should go back and add more content to the first game and continue to build off of that. The game play is very good. It just needs more.
They need to make a sequel with WAY more content.
I would be onboard with that, but I'm not sure how much of the audience would be there waiting.
Their dlc pricing turned a lot of people off, so they would also have to rethink their approach on that.

Same. Wrestling games are on life support right now. Although we do have some indies coming.
AEW, NJPW, CMLL, Stardom, DDT, TJPW are promotions with kind of a strategic alliance. Fire Pro Wrestling World had NJPW and Stardom wrestlers. Mainly because nobody else would take the risk to make it. The company isn’t doing that great right now.
I guess by this logic, it only makes sense for WWE to make games, which might be true LOL. But I'm grateful that other companies are giving it a shot!
I think the first game can still be saved if idiots don’t continue to add non related wrestling things to the game. Well how can they have a 2 when they are still fighting forever from the first one?
😅🤣
It should be called Fight Forever Still

@PowderedVoltage did you ever lose all your caws due to the game having a corrupt game save
I enjoyed fight forever but it was overhyped barely any customization and story mode career etc I would love a new game or a huge update to the game
They should of just kept building off this game and keep the seasonsdlc continuing and not stopping at 4.

Finally someone who gets it. Thank you. Yeah Here comes the pain was the catalyst for me to go do it for real for 6 years.
I remember aew fans said the game was going to kill 2k & how it would change the world.
Honestly it should have. They tried to do to much and it bit them in the cheeks!
@maineventstryzer I don't think it would've. Especially if you are picking up yukes. After 2k22 came out 2k has been the best it's ever been outside the restraints in caws and myfaction.

The gameplay was the only good thing about the game. I personally do NOT want another sim game. 2K and the wrestling Code have a lock on that.
@maineventstryzer I don't want another sim either but what we want doesn't matter bro. What matters is what sells.
Unfortunately you are correct on that. Lol
I think Fight Forever would feel more sim if it had more realistic graphics. I mean they're wrestlers doing wrestling moves. It's not like we got Kenny Omega actually shooting hadokens!

There's already been reports that it's not happening.
You should watch the video! 😁
I played the first aew game and it was bad. It was a waste of $20... I think they bombed this opportunity and soured their fan base
Basically what I say in the video lol 😂
Arab should have went for the realism like wwe2k .
No!
They aren't making a game
Someone didn’t watch the video 🙃
@maineventstryzer I have
Wwe 2k24 sucks 2k25 will be the same garbage all my faction it feels like I'm playing mortal kombat not a wrestling game
