I used to run nothing but CI Lil Nova dual stage foams until Logan (West Desert Wheeler) recommended the squid inserts and now I have them in 6 trucks so far.
Super cool man. I am probably going to get that same motor but I intend to use a raw800lp and a rhino esc 80a. That's the plan, I was kinda hoping some waterproof motor/esc would come out that would fit in the shorty VRD... Kinda waiting a few months I think crossing my fingers. By then the rain should let up and I can take out the fusion pro.
Yeah that would be cool to have a compact 2in1 but I feel like it would like any real grunt needed to bump obstacles. Havent tried the rhino yet but seems like a great unit. I love the yellow jacket though! Appreciate the watch and comment 🤘
@@Krazy4KVs I mean it wouldn't need to be 2in1 to make me happy, just waterproof. It rains a lot here in Oregon. I hope to see more VRD stuff, thanks for sharing
I'd like to put the VRD simple transmission into my Phoenix straight axle. Do you know if it's a direct fit ? Maybe you could try it if you removed yours next time. Great channel.
lol I did the same thing yesterday I changed the entire setup a week before, new chassis, shock tune, inserts and extended the wb and yeah I could have done better
Where can we get more info on the Jake’s body mounts? Didn’t stance body fit right into the carbon and have to cut it up looks like to set below the shock towers and work with Jake’s mounts?
I do. It's a costly one if not running/ don't have an LP servo lying around. Having the motor (heavier one at that) further forward and servo on axle instead of behind would be fun to compare to an identical truck. I wish I had the time and extra 7-800 to do it for y'all If you like out runners anyway and have an LP servo, it's solid. My VRD has been great since making those changes
Right on I don’t have an LP servo, I spent too much on the reefs 1100 to not use it , I ordered the kit and putting it on, using the 6mm spacers and will throw on a stick on weight and see how it does
Hey mate you should give the furitek Komodo 2000kv and Python X combo I just put in my VRD and it’s pretty bloody impressive. I’ll definitely be using them more just a thought 👍🏼🇦🇺
Subbed, I like your chill style 🤙 I'm coming from micro 24th scale but am looking for my first 10th scale, for the money am I better off getting the RTR VRD Stance?
Appreciate it 👍🏼 most would say I'm pretty laid back all the time. No reason to get excited or try to act cool here haha. If you have build experience I recommend the VRD carbon kit. If you got a total budget in mind, lemme know (you can DM me on ig). If you wanna just run it and upgrade as you go, RTR should be great but the machined gears, carbon rails, machines motor plate make the carbon a better platform for ultimate performance end goal.
@@Krazy4KVs appreciate your time mate, I'm keen to get going with it so I think I'm gonna go the RTR route and build on that, I like the radio and the wheel, tyre and dual stage foam package look sweet so I think for me the little extra for the rtr is worth it to get going with a 1/10 I will also enjoy seeing the impact of future modifications along the way. Really appreciate your response and Thank you 🤙I have a little yt channel showing my 1/24 rigs 🤙
Small shop comparatively to Horizon/ Traxxas. Most of it is worth the wait. Lots of reselling on FB for a discount and most of it is mechanically solid and oftentimes cosmetically babied haha

Yeah they are pretty awesome. Got a few sets of them. They do get quite stiff in the cold weather but they are still great
@@Krazy4KVs I don’t do very good in the cold either. I’m a fair weather crawler. Lol
🤣 same
I love the red rings with the black scale hardware.

Hmmm a standard VFD should but I'd ask VP to be sure. They will be quicker than me checking that
Burrr Brother! This Cali boy don't do 30.
Love the paint. What color red is that and how do u get it mirrored like that
Tamiya PS -15 metallic red. Im sorry I don't know what you mean mirrored?

Very nice Rocks😍🎉👌🏼
What is your track width and your fr to rr ratio now ? New body looks good
9.75" track width and actually only 59/41 for to back. Surprised it's not more honestly
