I just have to wonder WHY this isn’t already built into the Quest 3 as an option. Like do a ‘performance/battery saver’ or ‘quality’ mode.
Idk but for the Quest 2 they were slowly unlocking more part of its resolution settings as time went closer to the release of the Quest 3
that is a good question but atleast we have an option to unlock it right?
Also you don’t need side quest to install QGO you can just use the meta developer desktop app and drag and drop optimizer APK onto your headset less than 5 mins the entire process is complete maybe even faster
true but in this video we already had sidequest and developer mode so I though might make more sense besides sidequest is great for most quest 3 users in my opinion

the allow USB debugging isnt popping up in my headset, not sure how to fix

Is there anyway to improve videos? I find a strange shimmer in some sections of the movie. I.e. the odd nose, the odd jacket badge etc
mhhh that is a good question I would say try to move around with these settings a bit and see if it fixes the problem
@@VRelity I wondered if the browser app was available to mod under the qgo app? As everything from RUclips, netflix, prime etc is there. Although it does it in big screen too

@@kyrorogers1395 the thing is that VR tech is only in its baby steps and finally now that apple and meta are behind it its starting to see some rapid growth. The question is also more bout when will we get good mmo rpgs like sword art online and that might be a couple of years

But what do the options and settings do? Like you got gpu, cpu, ffr, dynamic? What do these things change?
all of them up the performance of what your headset is normally put in default. I recommend just trying it out to change them to what you prefer
The changes in the SideQuest's settings do absolutely nothing for the resolution of my Horizon OS environment.

Developer mode can't be enabled without creating an organisation, and there's where the problem saga begins - enabling 2FA, only to be told that it can't be enabled without an SMS code - which never arrives. You try again, you look for answers - yes, the world has this problem going back to last year. Tried the START to 32665 text and similar advice. No workarounds. Meta know about this but just aren't interested. Be careful if you end up in this rut - apparently if you delete 2FA, retry and tinker around too much you might end up losing your account and library.
Wish I'd found this vid before I started setting up my account yesterday (when the organisation button was still available). Now I'll have to wait (indefinitely?) until Meta sort their lives out, or just live without the dev mode benefits.
Does anyone tried the optimizer with population one?
Personally I have and the difference between optimiser and the sidequest one is basically the same
@@VRelity you mean bumping the performance with sidequest alone? Is it better than the original settings without sidequest or the optimizer
definitely better with qgo, set it up to 175% and 120hz, i have a battery strap so the performance on battery is negligble for me. very smooth and felt advantage when peeking/getting peeked due to higher HZ than 60. overall runs great i think QGO is a must have tool

No it has battery saving mode if you’re worried about that and have no battery strap
you can try the battery saving mode otherwise it will drain your battery fast
I still can’t properly increase the graphics in PRO ERA 2….any ideas?

@@Eagledocstew in quest game optimizer there are already a lot of apps/game already optimized.. But if not you can create your own settings to make it clearer :) there are a lot of videos here on RUclips that may help you doing that. Just remember: always open up your apps/games directly from QGO's page!
@@MrJackrussel4 I have checked out You Tube and even asked the advice of the PRO ERA 2 devs-what Resolution should I use? What CPU? What GPU? Other apps have HD and HD+ settings, just want to know what the best settings are without janking the game

Hi, is it normal that the VR video i saw on youtube are more clear than when I using VR? cus I notice those quest vr video on youtube seems very clear BUT my quest 3 seem slightly blur.
Normally it shouldn't look blurry anymore after you change these settings. Do you also have the right IPD setting for you?

I think you need to activate it through the app first, then the buttons will no longer be greyed out. But it's been a while since I did it.

Can messing with cpu and gpu levels cause overheating and permament damage to quest 3 ? 🤔
no its supposed to automatically reduce the clock speed: the framerate drops way down and ruins your game

It says that, Developer Mode is intended for development activities such as running, debugging and testing applications. Other activities could result in your account being limited, suspended or terminated. If i do this will it cause any problems?
no, along as you don't use it for anything weird. Sidequest is working together with meta and completely fine to use. I hope that helps?

Well I have the Quest3. Right now it can’t even talk to my computer via USB cable and OpenXR doesn’t work, so basicly they rendered my headset USELESS 😡

of course none of this works because the developer knows better, and they most probably just spent a year finely tuning these settings, thats why your framerates so bad when you do this

@@VRelity the developer gave you the recommended resolution. increasing it is literally not recommended by the developer otherwise they would have done it
