My friend and I went to Lowe’s and we always dance everywhere. We grabbed a few people to dance with then an elderly couple joined in. It was awesome but it was the song that got us going. “Sweet home Alabama”. Who doesn’t dance to Skynard?

They had 3 BIG Gloriosums at Home Depot in Cranberry, PA for $29.98 each and they were so healthy!!! Came in a basket! I was SHOCKED!!
That plant definitely looks like my Red Congo (also called Rojo Congo). I used to have one but lost it when we lost power for a week due to a severe ice storm in 2021. Never replaced it, yet... Heading out to the HD to see if they have them here! Thanks for the heads up, video!

That Philodendron was such a steal, I probably would've bought one too. My vote is that it's a Rojo Congo since the leaves are pretty dark.

A week or so ago I found a variegated maranta at Lowe's for $5.48 so I bought 2!

Hi, love that these plants are coming available. The $30 Gloriosum (usually found in a basket) I think are grown by Proven Winners not Costa Farms. Will usually show up with Home Depot. Or that is what we are finding in our local community.
Just still exciting no matter who grows them. Just thought this might help someone searching.

Hi Ashley, great plant shopping video! Many thanks. Excellent deal on your Philodendron! So pretty. Very happy for you. I rescued that same Lipstick plant last May. She had been severely overwatered apparently several times. I had to discard almost half of the plant and dry her out. Less than a year later she’s long, full and healthy. It must be a heartier plant than I thought it was. 😵💫. Take care and get well soon! 👌🪴🥰
I GOT ONE!!!!! Thank you so much for letting me know. We were on a mini vacation, so I stopped at the HD out there and though they didn't have many plants, they had a big red on sale for $19. I was so happy, especially since it wasn't $26.98 as marked! Wish I could post a pic. She is huge and I love her!

Wow, the philodendron is enormous haven't seen that one before! Plant shopping at HD last week I found a hoya brevialata (I think), curly spider plant and lemon pie aglaonema. I picked up the Brandi at Lowe's it is so nice! Thank you for taking us along!

I saw a Philo Glorisom(?) at my Home Depot the other day and so badly wanted to get it. The philo you got could either be mcColley or Red Imperial. I have both and they look so similar. I'd say the McColley looks more like a prince of orange but still. Beautiful find!

Got a philodendron mayoi and a florida green from HD. They also had alocasia frydek!
I think I only bought one plant full price, the rest I bought where rescues from Lowe’s clearance. They are probably worth 3x their regular price now.
I'm in Concord and the Lowes Home Depot and Walmart never have the cool plants they have down in Charlotte. I was at the locust Walmart last weekend and they had no indoor plants.

A lot of ppl are finding the gloriosum sold with Proven Winners brand. Also the red philo looks like a Rojo Congo cuz I had one . They get huge that’s why I don’t have it anymore cuz mine got over 4’ tall and wide. The Congos get massive compared to other philos. I gave the one I had to a nursery that had a lot a huge loss in their green house over the Christmas freeze . A lot of the plant community gave them plants for starts cuz their insurance wouldn’t pay for plant loss.
That’s so nice you and others have plants to a local nursery who lost so much!! I bet you’ve helped them stay afloat 🙌🏻

That was my first thought too, but the size and leaves make me think it’s a Rojo Congo. Imperial’s have more of an elongated leaf.

They have got to stop attaching those hideous brightly colored pieces of plastic on top of cacti and succulents. It can cause significant damage if not removed quickly and carefully.
