You are the best at talking about your plants ...PROFESSIONAL but with genuine warmth. I watch a lot of channels...this is your strength girl.😉
Oh my goodness, thank you! That really means a lot to me. I appreciate your watching, have a great Easter! 🐇🐶🌱😊
It just goes to show you that a plant doesn’t have to be “rare” to be beautiful 💚 Love your collection Carmen🥰🙌
Rosie is precious 🐶💕
You're right Elizabeth. All of these plants are tropical plants and they are some how surviving in my home! That's actually amazing when you think about it. 😀🌱
Carmen We all love your voice along with Peggy from Peggys tropical garden😅you both need to do voice over commercials, your plants are thriving 😌.You went out of your niche of cacti/ succulents and into houseplants with such a smooth transition, you really are doing great Carmen, your plant babies are happy❤️🙌
I adore philodendrons! They and calatheas are in my top three favorites for sure. Thank you for showing us your collection!
You are so welcome!
OHH Carmen your collection is beautiful!!!!.. Don't ever feel like you must have those so call rare plants..all plants are beautiful..they bring love...tranquility...Love your channel!..😊🌸🌼
You're right. I think sometimes there can be pressure to have the latest or most rare plant. But, I really can't do that, so I appreciate what I have. Thanks for reminding me!
@@carmenwhitehead ....if you see some of the other RUclipsrs, sometimes they make videos with some not so commom plants..but we need to understand that they get those plants for free, and we, in the end, are paying the hefty prices, because we want to support them....This needs to stop..seller are getting really crazy with the prices..and some of the plants are not even RARE...which I totally disagree with that term....You should use your platform and make some people aware of this....I love your videos because is like watching a friend talking to me about this great hobby ...that brings lots of joy!..never change carmen..i love your channel!.
@@mayangirl3757 Thanks for the encouraging words Mayan Girl!

Philodendrons are by far my favorite family of plants. I appreciate when other people give them love 🤗
I do love them so! So many varieties to choose from and so many that are very easy to grow. Thanks so much for visiting!
Philodendron is one of my favorite plants to have. They are so easy to take care of.
They really are Chrystal. I would love to expand my collection to some more rare ones.
Same here!!
My favorite too. I purchase Philo Camposportoanum for the second time. Hard for me to maintain.
Oh my, your collection is beautiful!
Thank you so much!
Amazing philos... Love every minute of this video.

Great collection. Hope your feeling better. tfs 💜
Thank you Carmen. I have a few philodendron which I enjoy. So it was great to watch this.
Glad you enjoyed it!😀
Love the voiceover format.
Thanks! I do plan on improving that when I get my plant room set up. I want to get a better microphone and area to do them.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful collection of philodendrons its nice seeing a collection that i have instead of wishing for plants i don't own and i learned a few new things too, again thank you 😊
My pleasure 😊
Really enjoyed seeing your beautiful philodendron collection, I have several and are always on the hunt for more 😀
Yes, I'd love to find a Moonlight. Which is similar to the Prince of Orange in shape, but a lemon lime color.
Beautiful! 💕🍀
Thank you! 😊
Beautiful collection. Hope you are feeling better.
I am Mary, thanks so much!
Lovely collection!
Thank you! Cheers!
I LOVE the silver stripe. Yet to find one for myself
I have 2 new philodendrons coming in the mail so this was perfect timing! 💕
How exciting! I love plant mail. I have a box arriving tomorrow!
@@carmenwhitehead I'm excited!
I love philodendrons
Me too!
Beautiful Philodendrons, you have such variety in your collection 😍love the Silver Stripe, such a unique shape to the leaves. The Micans is such a pretty one with its velvety, bronze leaves, one of my favorites 😊 Thanks for sharing Carmen, have a great week❣️🙏🏻🍃💕
Thanks so much 😊
Beautiful collection! My Birken should come tomorrow, so excited to get her! Thank you for a wonderful video.
You are so welcome!🌱😀
Hi Carmen! Loved the video. Philodendron's are my favorite!
There's such a great variety of them, I think that's one of the reasons I'm drawn to them.
I LOVE philodendron. I have Brazil, Neon( small cutting), the basic green one, Golden Goddess, Burle Marx, Xandu and prince of orange :) they are the only ones I can keep without much fuss I love them so much ! I love your videos and your calming voice 💕 I hope eventually you make more 30+ minute ones I could really use those to go to sleep 💕
Yes, there are some that can be fussy (and expensive). Which I really don't have time for either of those qualities! 😀
Wow, you have a wonderful collection.
Thank you Violet, I appreciate your visiting.
Thanks for sharing your lovely collections. Philodendrons & Monsteras were my first plant obsessions....like 40 years running. Keep them coming! I enjoy your content. If you love that lemon-lime/neon vining Philo. you may also enjoy Moonlight. She is self-heading like the Prince & Birkin and her leaves start out a lemony yellow and slowly age to a bright green. The overall affect is chartreuse. I was kinda of "ho-hum" about pictures but I got this really mature plant in a 6" pot from my local nursery and she has become the star of the show around here. Happy Growing.
Yes, I'm on the look out for the Moonlight. Thanks so much for visiting!
I love your philodendrons an I especially like the macrame. I don't have a prince of orange, yours is gorgeous. Gotta have one.
The color transformations on the Prince of Orange is really unique. I think once you get one, you'll want even more.
The brazil is my favorite one. It's on my plant wish list.
Loved this video Carmen. I have never seen the silver line philodendron. Would love to find one of those. What an amazing collection.
Thank you so much! They're all fairly common plants, but all beautiful.
I have to put up some hooks. Your plants are beautiful
I love your collection; I have some of the same plants. I like the silver stripe and I think I’ll do some propagating to get another Brazil!
Hi Mary! That's another great characteristic of them, they are so easy to propagate.
*Very nice ❤️❤️*
Thank you! Cheers!
This is a great video! I don’t have any philodendrons (yet!) so it was nice to see all the different varieties!
They are much easier to care for than you would think. Living in AZ, I don't have high humidity in my apartment and the humidifier in my living room only. Still, they are all happy. Well except for the last two. 😀
Get some!!!!
Thanks Carmen ❣️ All beautiful. I called our garden center here looking for the silver stripe. Still don't have any 😭. Hopefully I'll get lucky and find one randomly. I really want one😍 I did find a Hoya crimson queen at the grocery store this morning in a 4in pot for $4.99 🎉👏 I've had the princess for quite awhile now and I ordered her online. Thanks you for all the great videos ❣️
Wow, that Hoya is a great find. Good luck on the Silver Stripe.
Love your Prince of orange an Silver stripe. 😍💚 idk about your horse head, I don’t have mine in with a humidifier, but it’s in a west window back about 2ft. I hope it makes it! 💚😃
Sometimes, roots are growing an you think nothing is going on, but once roots establish then it will start pushing up! I don’t know how many roots were on it when you potted up, but that could be it. 😃
He's really a trooper and I hate to give up on him. 😢
Carmen Whitehead No, don’t give up on him. 😃 Plants are so resilient. I would send you a piece of mine but it’s a baby too. If yours don’t make I an mine grows, I will send it too you. 😃
When it cools down I would love to see an updated succulent. You have tons of euphorbia, stapelia and jungle cactus, I'd love to see or get a closer look at!
Yes, definitely when it cools down. 😀
Philodendron are my favorites as well. Can you show us how your planters are hanging. I would love to hang them like that,, do you use hooks or are they hanging on your curtain rod?? Take care Carmen!!
Yes, I do plan on making a bedroom tour video once I get the table set up in there. So stay tuned!
Really enjoyed this video even tho it makes me add more plants to my wish list. I got a micans a few months ago and I love it. I also have a Brazil and it has not been an easy plant for me. The leaves have gotten really small and it’s just doesn’t seem to be happy. I’m trying it in a new location to see if I can get it do better.
It might need some brighter light. Good luck!
Hi carmen, what a nice collection! Good luck with the strugglers! Do you have an unused fish tank you could use for a terrarium to help? I found a prince of orange, am enjoying it. Also bought a brazil on clearance 2 winters ago and repotted it in a pot that was too large, that poor plant struggled. SO, repotted this spring in a better size and she's doing great. Easy care, I like that.
Great idea with the fish tank. My daughter may have one.
115°F! 😅 wowza! beautiful collection
Wowza is right Don! LOL! But, somehow we all survive it. I'm looking forward to October when you can really start to feel it cooling down. Fall is my favorite season.
Bad news Carmen the 15 watt sansi Is just to powerful for my cordyline ti and dracena aralia elegance and lucky bamboo so I am sending the 15 watt back and ordering the 10 watt sansi it suposed to Jg
I love your videos! 💚
Question: How do you water your vining plants that are growing up the hanger without making a mess when watering?
Each hanging plant has a clear plastic saucer underneath. Whatever water is drained through I pour out of the saucer. I usually wait about 30 minutes to remove any water.
My brasil isn't propagating..I took a few cuttings.. so not gonna buy another one! It's trailing.. so I'm going to see how it grows.
Will you please give information about the plants that you have cut back next to the Prince of Orange. What plant is it and why is it cut back?
Love the lemon lime.. love the Brazil.. have neither. 😢. Which one is the easiest to grow ?? South facing window. Thanks Carmen. 💕 your channel.
They're both very easy. The Brazil grows faster. The Lemon Lime needs more light. Hope that helps.
Carmen Whitehead Absolutely. Thanks. 💜
Hi Carmen wow what a wonderful collection!!! TFS
I bought a succulent mix and perlite as I plan to repot my 5 year old jade and snake plant . Do you know what’s the ratio for succulent and perlite should I use?50/50??
Thanks again for sharing your beautiful collection. 😘
BTW im new sub
I would do at least 30% perlite. Most succulent mix comes with some perlite in it already. If you were mixing your own from scratch, i.e. coco coir as your base, then I would go as high as 50% perlite.
Carmen, I enjoyed your collection😁 Do you make the macrame hangers yourself ?
No I don't Lorraine. I wish I had the patience to make them. But, I figure that by the time I buy the cords and learn how to do it, I could just buy one from Amazon. LOL!
Hi! I like philodendrons. They are beautiful and low maintenance. Is the silver stripe the same as the Brazil? They look almost identical.
No, they are different. The Brazil has a neon green stripe, and the silver stripe has a creamy beige and grey stripe. The leaf shape is a little different too.
I hope you are feeling better❤️. I like how you have your hanging baskets together in a row like that, very pretty.
PLEASE HELP! My Philodendron Brazil has a lot of new growth lots of long vines with leaves but they look brownish and green the rest of the plant is very healthy looking. I have the plant in a South bright but indirect light and it’s been in that window since March. Is the new growth in a Philo Brazil suppose to look like that?
Some of the new leaves on mine have a "bronzey" look to them, if that makes sense. Then as they mature and get bigger, they turn green and develop the lime stripe.
Carmen Whitehead Yes bronzy! That makes me feel better about my Brazil. Thanks a bunch!
@@marthamiriam8983 I love the burgundy color they come in!! They turn green as they mature
Philodendrons are my favorite! wait..I'm not sure. haha! I hope you Bipennifolium gets well!🙏
I'm not giving up on the little guy. Another planty friend just gave me the idea of using a fish tank. I think my daughter may have one that I can make into a mini green house. 😀
ooooo great idea! Keep us posted. I know you can do it! I'm cheering for ya and the plant xoxo
Hi Carmen! Just curious if you sell cuttings of your plants? I didn’t see any last time I checked out your etsy page.
No, at the moment, I'm not selling any. I may next year once my plants get bigger and bushier.
I am back got a little sleepy anyway the 10 watt has 20 LEDs in it so I am hopeful that this will work all my plants love indirect light what I really want to do is get an lamp, shade reflector this will fit on my industrial lamp but since you don't need an shade with sansi light bulbs this just might be a waste of money any way I wanted to let you know that the 15 watt bulb was hot to the touch I have read other reviews and others have had the same experience even pepper on RUclips explains how the bulb gets hot if you have some time on your hands look pepper up he gives an honest review on the sansi lights bulbs I was really astonished because I know that sansi makes good products and never have I viewed of any customer complaints
Thanks so much for the info!
I have all three plants under humidity trays they don't like the humidifier I will keep you up to date my progress have a good evening its 2:15 down here in Texas and the virus has made a big impact Texas natives are constantly dropping like flys
Nice video...loved seeing your pretty philodendrons. I’m just starting my collection...I have 3 wi it!
Oops 😬 with one on the way....LOL!!!
So happy I could add to the collection!
Me too! I’ll have to take a picture! Don’t know where we’re gonna put it but will take a picture and will find a home for it somewhere in the house! LOL!
Hi carmen I'm from iraq and I love your channel and love the plant ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱 but I have a question my ficus elastica drop there leaf all the time I don't know why??????????
Hello and welcome! Usually Ficus Elasticas drop leaves because they're not getting enough bright indirect light or they're over watered. I would check those two things first.
@@carmenwhitehead I do all the things you said still drop leaf ☹☹☹☹☹☹ I'm not lucky with ficus 💔💔💔💔💔💔
👍🌟🌟🤗
Carmen: I’m not really a leaf petter
Me: I’m a leaf petter 😔
With those velvety leaves, I can see myself secretly becoming one! 😌
Where did you buy ma’am
I want the silver stripe (Rio). I have the lemon lime coming Saturday and I have two of the Brasils already. Carmen I noticed on your red emerald, one of the stem looks to have little cracks. My Dieffenbachia has that look on one of its stems. Do you know what that is or why it has that? Do you mist or moisten your moss poles?
I don't Lynn, I noticed it too when filming. The leaf is healthy. It may be just age of the stem. It's only on the lower ones. I water the moss pole when I water the plant. I just let the water slowly run down the pole. Sometimes I'll use a little squeeze bottle and kind of inject it into the moss pole.
Carmen Whitehead, thank you. My Dieffenbachia has just the one such stem and it’s healthy as are the leaves off of it. I wasn’t worried but wondered what it was. I’ll be keeping an eye on it. This Dieffenbachia holds a special place in my heart as it was given to me while I was in a rehab facility for over a month after spine surgery. It was given to me then and has more than tripled in size and I like to say we both survived rehab. She’s my queen and she’s large and in charge.
@@lynnsteiner1580 I love special plants like that!
Carmen I can not find philodendron silver stripe do you have any ideas as where I can go online thank you margaret
There are some Etsy sellers that have smaller ones or cuttings. I know Gabriella plants sells them occasionally.
Thank you Carmen so much you have your self a great day😄😄😄😄
