It's insane to even fathom that Dodge would introduce a RWD wagon in 2005, just Ford was about to drop their Taurus/Sable wagon, as non-luxury wagons basically didn't exist outside of the Chevy Malibu Maxx and then-soon-to-be-dropped Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback. The Magnum deserves to be enshrined in the Car Hall of Fame, just for the simple fact of its existence and era, and badassery of its 5.7 and 6.1L HEMI's. Chrysler really saved the RWD full size car. As a GM guy, I'm giving Mopar all praise. I gotta admit, the Magnum SRT-8 is much faster than I imagined, and someday I hope to own one. Excellent video! I subbed.

I used to work with a major league shit talker who thought his stock 3.5L Charger could beat our coworker's tuned RX-8 in a drag race. I'm sure that V8 he claimed was 'getting bored out' is still in the machine shop six years later.
I just picked up an awd 3.5 with an 05 Chrysler 300c front end for the winter and as a project car. Only 94k miles. Needs a thermostat and the egr pipe redone because the last guy didn’t seat the o ring properly and just threw a bunch of permatex around it. Always been a dream car to have in a garage lineup. Not to mention it looks right at home next to my s550 mustang. Been watching you for years Marspeed way before you even had the 5.7 charger. Thank you for covering anything and everything to do with the 3.5
Need to add junkyard Dave’s when he’s done. For those who don’t know, look him up. He’s crazy good, taking a a newer charger making it a magnum and putting a track hawk hellcat awd in it. But the details… mmmmmmmhmmmm
this is literally the only place I've seen an actual 0-60 test of an SXT. not only does it let me know my 0-60 without me breaking traffic laws, but also now I know I need to replace my dashboard backlighting
Recently tested my stock 2023 Charger RT Daytona both at a 1/4 mile drag strip and used my Draggy the same time. Only ran it one night for a total of 5 runs. Couldn't figure out how to turn off my traction control completely however. First time running the car too. Best was a decent 13.43 at 104 mph. Best certified 0-60 mph was 5.1 sec.
How is it a surprise that the SRT4 is as quick as the hemi. The car weigh 3,000 lb was a stick . Raise a 215 and 230 horse actually had 270 how is that surprising😢😂
You should do a video on the 80s-90s turbo Dodges and Shelby Dodges. The Shadow ES, Daytona Iroc, stealth, Shelby Dakota etc. Those are nostalgia cars for this generation.
@@Mr_57ChargerRT hence why I never said muscle cars. Or mentioned the 70s. The late 80snand early 90s were awesome for dodge. I loved the Turbo-II engine.
2.7L: 18 MPG city, 26 MPG highway, 21 combined 5.7L: 15 MPG city, 23 MPG highway, 18 combined Only 3 miles a gallon better for the Hemi. Dodge was duping people saying it was wayyyy better. The 3.5L V6 was also only 2 mpg lower. If someone was buying the V6s for gas mileage I feel sorry for them 😭
My 2005 RT AWD. Suitcase delete, Diablo 93 tune and K&N cai. Also Tranzformer Nag1 controller box. 1/8 8.0s... Sounds amazing... well nope. 1/4 14.0s 😆 It launch hard, but weight, lack of power etc... Should have add EU 300C CRD stw also to compare. Its close enough to be same car as Magnum.
The title of the video is “Dodge Magnum 0 to 60”. Every engine. You would probably need to find a video named “Viper 0 to 60”. 🤣🤣. I added laughing emoji’s. You’ll have that.
The question is why did they make the Magnum.? It really wasn't a functional family wagon. It was all about Chrysler promoting things the company like the viper and like the Plymouth prowler and like the motorcycle with the V10 I forget the name of it now I I know this is all promotional
And it did it did help the company make money and that's why .. I know the Magnum was not listening 4.5 seconds it was advertise a 5.3 seconds . Could you do 60 + 4.5 maybe on a good day. But this guy in the website doesn't know what he's talkin
Just bought a 2006 magnum srt8 about 2 weeks ago and couldn’t be happier with it!
I've got one too, absolutely love it
Biggest surprise is how close Neon SRT4 is to Magnum SRT8 in 1/4 mile
Weight and drag coefficient is as important as displacement. 😊
The neon SRT 4's were beasts back in the day. Especially with very little mods.
Yea but the neon weighs practically nothing and this I'd a big wagon
neons are light and kind of aerodynamic. magnums are heavy bricks
Both my Maggie RT and SRT8 thank you--they already get parking lot attention most places I go these days--future classics in wagonland😀
12.5 second quarter mile Magnum. A scat pack is lucky to do that now with a 392

I adore my magnums. 2.7 was not near enough when you know what you could have. Haha
Happy as a kid in a candy store with the mod potential on them.
@ 1:57 that wide body stance looks dope magnum 👍👍@2:48😮 Wow! The Dodge Intrepid SE with the same 2.7L 0-60 time of 8.7s
There is nothing like having a V8 that's naturally aspirated!!!!!! Such a pleasing sound coming from the engine and exhaust:) 10:40

dodge should come back with a new magnum but in a new style hellcat Magnum
Wagons historically don't sell. That's not going to happen.

Don't forget the turbo caravan!😂
You do realize the late 70s and 80s were the dark years for Chrysler/Dodge muscle cars👌

Suddenly I want a 2008 2.7 magnum
Ngl that shift from 1st to 2nd on the 3.5 was crisp 3:40
I can’t unsee the Durango
I'm surprised at the high top speeds compared to the newer Eagle 5.7 at around 140-141MPH.
Whats your thoughts on the general Lee from the dukes of hazzard?
i love you for this video
Can we get an update on your Daytona?
They didn't put the 2.7 l in there to be a hot rod dummy. They put the 2.7 l for economy if you want the hemi. Order the Hemi 😅😮😮😮🎉
2.7L: 18 MPG city, 26 MPG highway, 21 combined
5.7L: 15 MPG city, 23 MPG highway, 18 combined

Can u do Jeep next please
Awesome video. Next vid, the dodge challenger 0-60.
My bad I didn't realize you was talkin about the concept with a supercharger😢
can you help me with my dodge magnum i have a 2005 sxt

Avoid the 2.7!!!! The water pump wheep hole drain into oil pan...
Yeah the Dodge Spirit 92 with the lotus head was quicker than the Grand national
I'm never selling my dodge magnam srt8. Ima some more power in it.
I like the Dodge Magnum, but all Chrysler cars from this era have almost perpetual suspension problems.
How about Viper
