Hi Tanya: I can relate to your story as I have had both parents pass away unexpectedly. My mother had brain cancer which was inoperable; while my father passed due to heart failure due to Parkinson' disease. However, my parents raised me to be stubborn and determined, so I honor them by living a good life. Faith in God has given me strength to carry on, and I see that same faith in you Tanya. God bless you to continue being a strong independent lady. Lastly, thank you for your courage in sharing your story.

And you pick yourself up and keep going; that's the part that I find challenging, personally, w/respect to some things but you show that it _can_ be done and that's hopeful to me. Sorry to hear about your Dad; I hope he is doing better. My dad passed in 2016, my precious dog in 2013 and my mom is 96 with "dementia" which has been very difficult to "witness". I used to be much more involved with my creative work-photography, some video production of images set to music; and some writing. I have traveled some but not much since being here (in FL) to be closer to my mother. I would love to see many places in the World as you have started to do with your trips this year. I worked for the Library of Congress in DC before "retiring" some years ago. I would still like to travel when possible, to create another garden, and return to photographing flowers, although, close-ups featuring "abstraction" views. Greatest of all I think most people would agree is love-like that you have for your grandmother; while not always "available" to us as much as we would like, I am grateful for what if it there is and has been. Hi Tanya, I fully understand your situation regarding your Dad. My Dad was diagnosed with a large glioblastoma when I was 15 years. He went through radiation and chemotherapy and lived a year longer but the quality of life was very sad. I have 6 siblings. 4 older and 2 younger. My younger brothers were 9 and 10 years younger plus we lived on a farm. So I had to grow up overnight. I applaud your honesty and send you my best wishes and my positive mood to you.
