  • How to: Vespa GS 150 VS5T Karosserie reparieren, Löcher schweißen, verzinnen und restaurieren
This is a short video manual about repairing a Vespa Frame from the 60s.
The coachwork is from the Wideframe Model Vespa GS 150 VS5T.
There are also plenty of other possibilities to restore close holes in a coachwork frame especially if you are good in welding :P
So the video is for orientation purpose only.

Hey, I first welded the holes - unfortunately one not that good. So I tried this old method as shown in the video; using tin and a flamethrower. It’s almost like Bondo but not as hydrophobic. But the bondo “Mipa E80 EP Kaltzinn” is as good as tinning with the flamethrower. U can search it in google. It’s a good quality German label.
My friend painted the frame later. He used primer and just a little bit of Bondo on some other parts and then painted it with acrylic paint “grigio metallizzato 15005” by Max Meyer. U will find this Vespa GS paint in eBay. A painter and vespa enthusiast from Germany produces all original vespa colors in high quality acrylic paint and sells them 👌🏼

Just curious; can u guess why this video has two thumbs down? The holes are closed and u don’t see them anymore on the finished vespa 😅

@@adityasaha9617 I can relate. I also don’t like too much Bondo for a restoration. Thanks for your comments 🙌🏻
