    You only need one FarmHouse for all the fields, not one FarmHouse per field.

  • @pumpkin1792
    @pumpkin1792 5 месяцев назад

    From my own experience so far with feilds I didn't have any issue with many feilds and one farmhouse, just make sure there's enough families assigned for the amount of feilds that you have. Also make sure you have rotation on 3 or 4 feilds, I like rotating with 4 feilds, so two of them have something growing and two are fallow, then next year the ones that were fallow have something growing and so on and so forth.
    Next thing, don't be affraid to trade your stuff, let's say you have a tailor's workshop that makes clothes, you just make sure it's not set to sell everything you have.
    I noticed myself that oxen and other animals are cheaper to buy at the livestock trading so keep that in mind.
    I'd gladly watch you build again and make an army! Sounds really exciting, keep it going

      Oooh thats also a very interesting way of doing it with the farm fields! Good idea! Its funny how so many people play it differently. Curious if it was intended this way.. or that most of us don't know how it exactly really works ingame, hahaha!
      I am definitely very curious to figure out how the military works.. still 0 idea at this point.. jikes 🙈

    @38:20 the field fertility goes down as the plants grow. I don't know how much they recover from 1 fallow season, but there is going to be a cap based on the starting fertility. Those fields are on light to mid green (if I remember correctly) so the fertility is only ok to start with.

    I don't know if you saw it, but lvl 3 burgage plots hold 2 families instead of just 1. And if the plot has a side house, that also holds 2 families so you can have upto 4 families living on a single lvl 3 burgage plot. I believe they also add 2 regional wealth per month instead of the 1 that lvl 2 houses do.

    The game is really good. Of course, there is not a lot of content. But it's already more than what I though. It just miss some political stuff imo. But the foundation is really impressive. The city builder aspect is innovative on a lot of way, it's beautiful, organic with A LOT of details. The military aspect is bigger than what I though it would be lol. It's not total war, but..... Almost lol. And it's live, in the same 'world' of our city. It's just awesome. The dev did a really great job and I hope he will continue and not go away with the money.

    You do want the market close to your housing concentration as the distance people have to walk to the market from their home does matter in terms of how long it takes them to fulfill their market needs. You can also have more than one market. They will fill up with market stalls in the order of the markets were built, so a second market will not get any stalls (no matter how close it is to resources) until the first market has filled up. So the first market you build should not be very big. Especially if area is only intended to be a starter village, and not where your main settlement will be. villagers will walk a distance to get to the market, but the farther they have to walk, the longer it takes for them to get all the needs fulfilled.
    Rather than building the market close to the granary, instead, build the granary and storage buildings near the market. The granary and storage buildings can designate a work area similar to the wood cutter. So what you can do is create an area with multiple storages/granaries that each collect from the far away gathering/production areas, and then a destination storage/granary near the market that has the strage/granary region as it's work area.
    Granaries and storage buildings can limit what resources are allowed to be stored in them. So you could have 1 granary that stores only meat (whos designated work area is the hunters camp). A second that stores only flour (whos designated work area is the mill). And a third that stores only berries and herbs(whos designated work area is the foragers hut). Then you build a fourth granary near the market that can store everything, and it's designated work area is the area where you built the other 3 granaries.
    Then you do the same with the storage building. 1 for firewood whos work area is the wood cutter camp, one that stores only planks whos work area is the building that makes planks, One that stores only leather whos work area is the tannery, and so on.

    I wouldn't bother trying to grow barley in this region, the fertility is really too poor. You should check the rye fertility. It might be worth growing emmer and rye on rotation. You do have to unlock the Rye in the development tree to grow it. But I have found that rye is often really good farming in areas that are poor for growing other things. You can always import barley to make into beer.

    I don't know if this game has an in game tutorial or not, but it needs one (or a better one). There's a lot of information to know, but most of it is "i don't know, let's try this and see if it works."

      Yeah for sure! Somehow I do like it that not everything is being explained in a tutorial.. but even I sometimes do struggle a bit because there is really too few information in the game now, hihi! Thank goodness there are a few people watching that know a lot already of the game to help out 😅🙏

    With the castle planner, there are 2 buttons, close and commit. If you close the castle planner, the Manor will be still be built, but none of the rest will, so you can design a castle you don't have the resources to build yet. Any time you click on the manor, it will bring up the castle planner which saves what you had already planned, once you click commit, then the rest of the castle will be built. So you can design a castle you do not have the resources yet to build, and with out having to redesign it once you do have them. You can also attach the walls to the manor house and to the tax office to make the castle look more realistic.

    be careful how you spend your development points. You get a max of 6 in a region. Each region on the map are independent from each other. So regional wealth from this region will not extend to the next region you claim. Same for development points. So when you claim a new region and start a settlement on that region it will start with no regional wealth and no development points.

    [edit] ah good you are figuring it out! I should have watched a couple more minutes before posting 😅😅😅 But make sure you clear cut the forest around your castle walls as they would allow an enemy army to sneak up on your castle. You can place the manor house, and then draw the road up to it so you don't have to make funny roads to place it how you like. So it is best to build the manor house and it's buildings first, then build the roads and finally the walls. That way you can get the layout you want.

    • @DeLadysigner
      @DeLadysigner  5 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you so much for the tip! I can imagine clearing the forest is especially usefull in other maps where you play against AI? Haha! I dont think I have seen any enemys during this playthrough?

    • @spamfilter32
      @spamfilter32 5 месяцев назад

      @DeLadysigner I think you chose the free build mode, so no combat in this series. But that is fine because it gives you a chance to figure the buildings out before you have to worry about combat. Which, if you've never played a game like Total War can be tricky. It's much more complex than other rts's like age of empires.
