    I have 2 of your compensators. No night though. I love them. They do help. But I have my reservations with the light mount version. Why make it for one kind of light? Why not allen screws to hold the compensator and either a gap in the comp to fit a light or even a pic rail on an existing comp? I wanted this, but didnt like the idea it was for a $300+ light. Im not meaning to criticize, but as a fan of your product suggesting an improved future product. Thanks for hearing me out.

      @VantagePointArmory  6 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks for reaching out! And thanks for your support! We appreciate your feedback. The reason for using the expensive light has more to do with the availability of the bolt pattern that is machined in it from SureFire. It is a sturdy platform by which you can attach something that will take a lot of abuse and still hold up. The reason for not using a cheaper light has more to do with the light itself not having the type of built in support that is needed to take the abuse that I referred to above, because I’ve tried, short of machining the lights themselves. Which might make the cost as much as the expensive light. Hope this is helpful!

      @@VantagePointArmory would a Piccatinny rail milled onto the compensator have worked?

    • @surfacegr1nder705
      @surfacegr1nder705 5 месяцев назад

      @@richdubbyapossibly, we are looking into a design for that. The main problem with that is the extra distance that it will push the light down, 1/4” inch. Which would make the controls of the light far enough away that I have to break my grip. Also, this would make holster compatibility impossible and would require a custom made holster. Just things to consider

    Do you not recommend the QD style of attachment of the x300? I’ve ran it on my VP armory comp/full size PX4 for about 500 rounds now with no problems

    • @VantagePointArmory
      @VantagePointArmory  6 месяцев назад

      Thanks for reaching out! While the QD style attachment is certainly compatible and has been tested extensively, we've found the lockbar to provide an extra layer of security. The product was initially developed using the QD attachment, so it's still a viable option. Feel free to reach out if you have any further questions. Thank you for your support!

    Great video. Just set this up on my LTT PX4 G-SD. Thanks for the detailed guide.
    Though I did find it interesting that LTT shows this comp with the spring mount; I couldn’t get that one to work?

    • @VantagePointArmory
      @VantagePointArmory  5 месяцев назад +1

      You can mount using the spring latch as well, however this locking bar assembly provides an extra layer of secureness. Thank you for your support!

    • @miles267
      @miles267 5 месяцев назад

      @@VantagePointArmory incidentally I attempted an install using the spring latch numerous times without success. Specifically when I was able to correctly align the 6 screws, it resulted in the spring being completely compressed which prevented the ability to use the wings to actually raise and lower the lock bar. Whereas using the method in this video worked consistently and was noticeably more secure. There was no play whatsoever.

    love my non light bearing model, the px4 doesn't move at all. Would love to see a rail mounted comp for the 92 series as well

    • @miles267
      @miles267 5 месяцев назад

      I wanted to use the non-light bearing VPA comp but it wouldn’t slide onto my PX4 easily. It was tearing up the polymer rail. For damage control, I opted for this light mount comp.

    • @surfacegr1nder705

      @@miles267unfortunately the polymer molds for the guns throughout the years vary. We did the best we could when came to sizing with what we have. The main concern is have a good push fit to take away as much slop as possible. We have talked about making some slightly oversized railmounted.
