Three of the potentially best Bond villains ever: Drax the Destroyer, Moriarty, and Colonel Hans Landa from freaking Inglorious Bastards.
And they TOTALLY WASTE ALL OF THEM!!!!!
They also wasted one of the potentially best Bond Girls ever by hooking him up with the boring chick young enough to be his daughter, instead of Monica @#$%ing Belluci. Belluci would have been SO much more interesting.

+Misbehaven123 It has some improvements over Winter Soldier's formula such as the better atmosphere and being more subtle.
the odd thing is that as much as people disliked quantum of solace, that evil villain plot is the most likely to happen in real life. in fact it's happened multiple times.
And I didn't hate Quantum of Solace. But I can't explain to my friend why it's a good Bond movie. The issue may be, as you said, it's credible rather than oversized like most Bond movies...then again, isn't semirealism what made the beginning of Casino Royale and the end of Skyfall great?
I liked Quantum. A lot. I did not notice problems in the script. Really. Even it being filmed in the same period of writers strike
I liked Quantum too. Of course there were script and editing problems. But there was lot to love about that film. I liked it more than SPECTRE for sure, and I think it will age better.
Quantum's plot is the most realistic of all the bond movies. It is happening and will happen on a larger scale in few decades when oil is gone and water will be scarce..
Which is why I loved QoS, short as it was.
And made me mad they abandoned that thread for Skyfall only to sloppily pick it back up with Spectre.
You should make an Honest Trailer for every single James Bond movie, starting from 1962!
I'm the sort of guy who can remember nearly everything about movies I watch, even the average and forgetable ones.
I've watched Quantum of Solace 3 times.
I still can't remember a single thing about that movie.

+Dragula M Not really, most people don't even look that far. they see the opening, decide they dont like the movie, and then bitch about it being terrible.
It is disliked and under-appreciated because social media is simply a platform for people to be bitchy and try to prove they are smarter than everyone else. So they pre-establish opinions of things and find ways to hate them even if they are good, or to praise things even when they are terrible. This one was pegged as "bad" before anyone saw it. It could do no right. Captain America 2, which was mentioned in this video, was "great" long before release. It could do no wrong. Movies are an easy medium to use to sound intelligent and make people feel that their opinions are of higher importance. I say if you are interested and can go see it, do so. And if you like it, don't worry about justifying why. You're exactly who it was made for. I loved Spectre, too. It might be my favorite Bond.

This was spot on. Wasted talent(Waltz, Batista and Bond's supporting cast-M, Moneypenny and somewhat Q). Predictable and just ugh. This movie made me glad I only wasted PPV rental. As Norman Osbourne stated in Spiderman, "Back to formula!"

The thing that bothered me most is that James Bond shoots with 100% accuracy and flies away in a helicopter after they drilled into his head. That makes him even more indestructeable than any other James Bond.

***** I've read the entire quadrilogy, and I own Red Dragon. I was disappointed that they didn't go into more detail about his past and why he wears the false teeth when biting people, but that doesn't change the fact that the show has sublime cinematography, excellent writing and fantastic acting, or that the end of season 3 was simply exquisitely done.
You have to remember that it was telling a different story than the books (after all, this was the third time they've told the Red Dragon story now), and they were changing things enough so that you didn't know what was going to happen while keeping things similar enough to pay homage to the original work. That's a very delicate balance and I think they pulled it off masterfully.

I love how that's the generally accepted opinion for that movie.
I saw it once and the only two things I remember was a Cuban (I think) General who was also a rapist and that part where Bond interrupted a teleconference at an opera house.
I've seen it three or four times.
That's really all I remember too.
Its funny, cuz i like quantum of solace better than casino royale. I can only remember a couple of scenes from CR lmao, everything else is just a blur.
The opera house scene and the opening chase scene were both very good tbf

If every Bond film were a Casino Royale, we wouldn't find them interesting.
That being said, the only main criticism that I had with Spectre was it didn't get the tone right. Make it Gritty, or make it Fun, don't do both.

Watched it one time. I will never watch it again. It's sad where the Bond franchise has gone. Casino Royale was so good and Skyfall was exciting. I think it's time for a change of Bond actors, directors, writers and management of the property.

Quantum of Solace might be worse (honestly, I do no remember that movie enough to say either way), but man I have never been more disappointed in a James Bond movie before. There was a few cool scenes, sure, but I have never thought to myself during a Bond movie "man, I'm about to fall asleep" like I did halfway into this movie.
I hope Daniel Craig and Christoph Waltz return one more time so that they can do Spectre right (perhaps pulling an On Her Majesty's Secret Service type of plot?) then retire Daniel Craig's Bond forever. I am a huge fan of Craig's Bond, but it definitely looks like the end is near for his portrayal of the character.
I hope they continue this way more than the old ones ,they were kinda idiotic

***** Not A Masterpiece? It was probably the worst Star Wars movie ever, and there have been bad ones. It was such a lazy piece of garbage. We're back to there only being one jedi, the rebels are underdogs thanks to the new republic being destoyed etc. Instead of building on ROTJ's ending, we are back to the status quo. Would be cool to see the New Jedi, New Republic etc but that would require creativity on JJ Abram's part. Just the cheapest, laziest move you could make.
HELL Not only the plot was the same, but the planets were another desert planet, and a forrest planet with a huge temple in the middle of it. So lazy just poor pathetic storytelling. Worst thing is Rey's detour to Luke is setting up the Yoda story and they are probably remaking Empire next. Sorry for rant

How about having Luke build the jedi? the New Republic? Building on Return of the Jedi's ending would be great but instead everything blew up, we are back to the status Quo of there being only a few Jedi in hiding, the empire is huge with another death star. Its all been done before. We should be past this. (You know...story progression) Then theres the story:
Poe/Leia give droids imporant intel to give to the rebels. Poe/Leia is then captured by Vader/Ren and tortured. The Droid reach our hero Luke/Rey. Who now needs to leave the desert planet Jakku/Tatoowine. They end up meeting the old hero mentor Ben/Han who tells them that the jedi were hunted down and destroyed by young aprentice Vader/Ren. He takes them to the cantina so they can get safe passage to the rebels but the Death Star/Starkiller Blows up rebel planet and now they need to infiltrate the deathstar to rescue the princess/Rey. Han/Ben confront son/former aprentice Vader/Ren who kills him while the heroes escape. The rebels then do a trench run on the death Star and blow it up. As this happens Vader/Ren realizes Rey/Luke's force abilities. Rey/Luke realize they need to go to the last remaining jedi who is hiding on a remote planet in seclusion.
This movie was so half assed and lazy they made Tatooine Jakku and the rebel planet a Forrest planet with a large temple. They couldn't even change that. I get the whole heroes journey but you can do it without being so god damn close to a New Hope. KOTOR and the clone wars (Cartoon not the prequels though this movie was probably worse for being so redundant) showed Star Wars can work in a differant setting with a differant story but with enough similarities to call it Star Wars. JJ Abrams is a complete hack. People are prasing him and disney for ripping off a movie made 40 years ago. And guess what? They're doing the same to Empire next. Luke/Rey training remind you of anything? So its probably not even a "paying tribute then moving on" Complete garbage and people are eating it up
