What an upset. Melbourne should have won that by about 20-30 points going into the match and I'd say that would have been admirable for Adelaide, but the Crom played out of their skins to beat top of the ladder by a point at the death.....what a brilliant win. I'm not saying Adelaide are going to play finals now.....but it's not out of the equation.....They'd have to work really hard to do so. On the other side, I wouldn't say that it's terrible for the Dees, Adelaide played far greater than even the most diehard Crom fans would have hoped for and really took it up to the Dees, don't be too disappointed, I mean the Dees played well that game, not as good as we are used to seeing, but it's not like they played poorly. The effort was definitely there.

Sam Berry has looked better the last 2 weeks. He was blazing kicks toward goal a bit earlier this season (especially in the GWS thumping). Like he was trying to do it all himself when we were getting beaten. Now he is lowering the eyes and nailing passes. Looks way more professional
I like how it balanced out somewhat with the deliberate out of bounds by the crows player not being paid and with Melbourne being awarded a goal when perhaps they shouldn’t have. Great game.
A win is a win , but this one was a great win . Vic's can scream all they want too on one umpires none call, but there were plenty during the game the Crows missed out on also.
@Stephen Podgorski yes they did.. plus fellow crows defender in the vicinity for non call.. definitely not clear cut deliberate.. good call by umpire.. also ed langdon goal touched by scholl not overruled as a behind and harmes high tackle free kick that he scrored goal from was incorrect.. he ducked.. dees got quite a few favourable calls
@Stephen Podgorski - Because anyone who HAS ever umpired a game at any level where there is a substantial degree of difficulty knows how hard the job is and doesn't act so judgemental about it. If you think the umpire was wrong then go pick up the whistle and do a whole season of amateur league umpiring yourself and you will learn just how difficult the job is. Do you tell a plumber how to do his job??... An electrician maybe?... what about a mechanic?? That umpire would've had MANY years of experience to get to the AFL level and to be where he is requires passing a Diploma level course at a tertiary institution. So do yourself a favour and don't talk crap about something you know fvck-all about... I've done that course... Do YOU have the balls to do it??

To all you Armchair Umpires take a look at the slow motion replay of the last 10 seconds the Melbourne player contacted with the ball and deflected it towards the boundary. If you look at the angle of the handball by the Adelaide player it was not towards the boundary. Stop crying about being ripped off and enjoy the game as a whole.
I love reading comments from the armchair umpires 😂 I'll bet vital parts of my anatomy to the fact that 99% of them have never umpired a game of football at even so much as amateur league level. They've got ZERO experience in the job but all like to judge how it should be done. Footy fans talk up a big storm but very few have got the balls to do the job themselves. Personally I think the 50m penalty paid against Gawn was more questionable than the supposed deliberate out-of-bounds... and yes, I've umpired over 200 games at amateur league level.

To be honest, Adelaide have beaten nearly every team in stats, every week. Only thing killing them are their turnovers inside 50.
