They have been trying to go global but its too little too late. They tried in afew of the asian countries & I think Ireland etc. But nothing happened. They should have tried atleast 70 years ago. Football/Soccer is the biggest sport in the world. AFL dont have the funds to promote the game to compete with other sports. They only expanded nationally in the early 1990s. This is mostly a tall mans game. I can't see Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, China etc competing with the Australians. They couldn't even get the game going in New Zealand.

Eh, while I reckon you're as good as (or better than) any top 4 team on form, I think without the double chance of the top 4 and a lack of finals experience it will still be a little too hard to win this year, tho I wouldn't be surprised to see you make a prelim. If you'd banked a few more wins earlier in the season and could sneak into 4th I'd be a bit more confident. For now though, I reckon hope to go as deep as possible in the finals this year, get some experience, and hope to springboard it into next year for a premiership year.
American here. Is it me or was that a really low score for the first quarter? But a really exciting game! Footy is my favorite team sport to watch. The contact of (American) football, the speed of ice hockey, the scoring of basketball and the foot skills of soccer. What's not to love?

Coming from a geelong supporter who hates melb, tracs kick was a goal. Incorrect decision by umpires. Then in the semi final fritshc was blocked out of the acres contest and then in 2024 van rooyen tackled kemp in front of goal and it was called a dangerous tackle. Melbourne robbed on all three ocaisions
