  • The Blues have gotten rid of their 2022 demons to record a pulsating four-point victory over the Dees on Saturday night at the MCG.
    After suffering a heartbreaking defeat to Melbourne with finals on the line last season, the Blues found themselves in an identical situation.
    This time they weren't letting the game slip, extending their winning streak to eight matches in the 9.6 (60) to 8.8 (56) triumph.

    A Brit here, followed the Blues since living there in 2017. It’s been pure pain ever since, but this is electric. Can’t stop following this story… long May it continue! AFL needs to go global, it’s honestly the most insane sport. Look at that crowd 😮

    • @altinsilsile36
      @altinsilsile36 10 месяцев назад

      They have been trying to go global but its too little too late. They tried in afew of the asian countries & I think Ireland etc. But nothing happened. They should have tried atleast 70 years ago. Football/Soccer is the biggest sport in the world. AFL dont have the funds to promote the game to compete with other sports. They only expanded nationally in the early 1990s. This is mostly a tall mans game. I can't see Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, China etc competing with the Australians. They couldn't even get the game going in New Zealand.

      Eh, while I reckon you're as good as (or better than) any top 4 team on form, I think without the double chance of the top 4 and a lack of finals experience it will still be a little too hard to win this year, tho I wouldn't be surprised to see you make a prelim. If you'd banked a few more wins earlier in the season and could sneak into 4th I'd be a bit more confident. For now though, I reckon hope to go as deep as possible in the finals this year, get some experience, and hope to springboard it into next year for a premiership year.

    Either marchbank touched it, or his arm was pulled back. Either way it was to go Carlton's way.

    This is a WEAK Carlton side. Walsh and Cerra OUT and theyre 2 of the best 5 midfielders in the comp! 7 of carltons best 22 have been out for 3 games! Beating the top 2 sides. lol whos going to beat these guys? All 7 will return for first week of finals. Shut down Lygon. Number 17 is here.

    Melbourne are by far the most overrated side this year. Other than beating Collingwood on a bad day, they haven't beaten any quality opponents.
