  • How much do you know about North Korea? We ourselves don’t know much, either, so this was a very interesting interview for us, too!

    Wow I learned so much that I didn't know about North Korea! I watched a documentary movie on it in high school, but it was mainly just the bad sides, so it was cool to learn a little more from the perspective of an average person from there :) Thanks TTMIK and special guest Joseph!

    Great video!! Always curious about day to day life in North Korea. Media tends to always show what is ‘sensationalized’ to grab attention.. I am more interested the average persons life. You would almost never hear about neighborhood wedding parties in the news. Also balanced with info about not having open choice of career that we take for granted and the military separation from family for such a long time. As always thanks for education!

    Man the subtitles are so useful. Just reading them helps solidify stuff you know and provide things to look up later. Thanks for the video

    Dear TTMIK,
    I have a question about the word: 낮은 곳
    I'm in the beginning phase of learning hangul and i came across this word.
    I learned with the batchim rule that when ''ㅈ'' is in the batchim position, it changes to ''ㅅ'' in sound.
    However, the ''ㅈ'' is still pronounced as ''j'' and not as ''s''. why is that?
    Thanks a lot!

    • @yincade701
      @yincade701 5 лет назад

      smertskie It would be a “t” sound if there wasnt a ㅇ in the following syllable. The ㅈ kind of carries over to sound like 나즌

      @spriggsyspriggs2237 5 лет назад +3

      I think it would technically be called Intranet, not internet, since it isn't accessing outside webpages, right?

    • @tobi6891
      @tobi6891 5 лет назад +2

      The average person doesn't have any access to the internet. They only have a so-called intranet which shows propaganda websites.

    • @CyberMew
      @CyberMew 5 лет назад +1

      Ah yes intranet makes more sense. Thanks for answering!
