- For the longest time, I told myself, “Just stay positive. It’ll be fine.” But deep down, I wasn’t fine-I was just avoiding my emotions. I used toxic positivity as a shield, convincing myself that if I ignored the pain, it would disappear. Spoiler: it didn’t.
In this video, I talk about how I hid behind forced optimism, why toxic positivity can be harmful, and what finally helped me sit with my emotions instead of running from them.
