Take high quality ashwagandha daily, it may help you relax natural but it will lower your cortisol levels being produced by stress and protect your health. Kava is also good for anxiety suffers, but make sure you try it safely at home to understand your tolerance and dosings with kava small amounts go a long way. Changing our perspectives also helps, do not allow yourself to believe you can't be healed completely or at least be in a place better than you ever expected, you can. Fear alot of times is a product of feeling unsafe when we were younger, so we try insulate ourselves when we're older with having other manifested issues to create a false structure of 'safety'. Best therapy: destroy fear by doing the things you do fear most, realign your mind that you are safe by proving to your mind and body you are safe by doing those things you fear and proving to yourself you can over come all self-imposed limitations both conscious and subconscious. Hope this helps the person it was meant to find

His negativity was starting to take a toll on my mental health. I am an artist normally, my life is painting and drawing. During our relationship, I completely stopped creating. I think this says it all, I was in complete survival mode, giving all of my self to the other person.

    • @dogzer
      @dogzer 4 года назад +43

@Chi Did you even watch the video? The things you choose to think about put your body in different states. Stress is addictive so you may find yourself thinking over and over about material problems, keeping your body in a state of survival, expecting danger and bad outcomes. That state of mind consumes tons of energy, it's how your body reacts when it's being chased by a predator and other dangers, taking away your body resources to focus on these problems, that often may not even have a short term solution. This state of mind will lower your immune system, make you depressed and reduce your energy. It is a habit you want to revert if you have it. Focus on non material things, think of gratitude for the things you do enjoy in life, stop trying to control every little aspect of your physical world, and be mindful about how much stress you put in your body.
If you successfully reduce cortisol in your body by thinking less in material problems, this will improve your immune system, and your body will know it is safe to spend your body resources on being creative and productive.

I found the brain fascinating but deep down it was that I wanted to understand my own. Now with the knowledge I have I can attest that the brain is indeed fascinating and capable of so much and is extremely plastic and less concrete than scientists wish to admit. It is sad that the recent narrative has been that mental illnesses are “hardwired chemical imbalances”. A definition that completely stripped a person’s self-autonomy and choice in the matter. We all have a choice and our brains are ready to listen to it and rewire accordingly. We just have to make it. I wish all a blessed existence ❤

This also sounds like faith to me. Because when I’ve been more faithful and have problems but I truly pray and give it to God and let it go, I don’t ever think about it again. And I feel free and not stressed. The older I get the harder that is to keep doing, however, because I think I can do it all on my own. Guess that’s what childlike faith means.

I am not a religious person by many standards, but I do think there are innate values and spiritual awareness's that are taught through the community, the faith, and the passion behind religion. Barring any of the terrible greediness and wretchedness that can plague religions. I personally believe down to their fundamental ideals religion is something that everybody should have, and I mean in any kind of form. It does not have to be believing in a "god", but the ability to step outside of your self and the modernistic problems you face, to truly become one with the universe that you live in and the people around you, is something that will bring you a sense of relaxation and wholeness in your life. Accompanying this with a passion in life (whatever that might be) and a yearning desire to grow in every realm of your life. I think many young people have given up religion and the spirituality attached with it, this in my opinion causes a person to be grounded for all of their lives. They are so wrapped up in modern problems that they are not able to see the bigger picture in life and the beauty of it. People have lost the way of our ancestors and think of any generation before the last 200 years and even some after them as inferior when in actuality they had some of the most profound understandings of human nature ever. I think if more people took the time to look into getting into a spiritual mind state and to consume and be consumed by modern society they would feel much happier. All of that being said I am aware that there is tragedy, mental illness, and many other terrible things in life. Life is not perfect and there is sadness, sorrow, and despair. I think the key is to understand that there are horrible things in life that will happen, but you have to do everything in your power to armor yourself up for when that day comes.

@@TheCrazyman177 I agree, a person can spiritually "free" themselves with or without faith. Religion is not a necessity, if the person feels more comfortable & strong enough to do it on their own. A lot of people don't, though, so doing it through religious faith just provides guidance and makes the changes feel more substantial, consolidated, and real. It's just unfortunate that _organized religion_ has many negatives. It's a lot like meditation...it's very easy to do on your own, and one can learn how to do it properly just educating themselves, either reading about it or watching some instructional videos. Yet there are always gurus and instructors who want to be paid for guiding people through it. Totally unnecessary. A lot of people _want_ instructors and guidance and don't mind paying, and of course those instructors will tell you that you _need them_ so they keep validating themselves.

This honestly made me cry a little bit. Last year i changed my studies to something way more „unstable“ and „risky“ (at least in my thoughts) than before, but i knew it was my passion. I felt stressed for the year i studied the wrong thing and the thought about „will the change be the right decision?“ Put me in tension all the time. I cared too much about social status, how people perceive me and if I could reach my own standards after the change.
So I switched my studies to Design and after all the overthinking and decision making was through, I thrived in my new profession. After that, good things just kept falling into my lap that reassured me in my decision every day. I randomly met people who share my interests and work, people started telling me Im amazing in my work and I landed a job that I thought is out of my league. I am good in my field and I keep learning every single day with a motivation and passion I didnt have before. I love it and I am thankful that my own mindset has changed so much over the past year.
Seeing this video also shows me that I am on the right path. Thank you.

I struggle with a lot of anxiety and a lot of these topics I covered in therapy. I came to the realisation that it's about focusing on the present moment, not imagining the future or reminiscing of the past. The future is a fictional concept, no one knows what will happen next week month or year so any thoughts you have about it are only speculation. It's fiction till it becomes present.
My jaw dropped when double vision was mentioned. We all hear of raised heart rates, sweaty palms etc but I have been struggling with double vision in times of stress for years and never hear it covered.
I think we need to do what we want to do. And if you don't want to do something, don't do it.
If your job is making you miserable, leave and find one that brings you joy.
I know that sounds like a fairy tale concept but as far as we know we only have one life and one chance, if we don't find a way to live in peace with our minds the stress will kill us.

I have a friend that yell at their 8 yo kid all the time, about everything. Not doing homework fast enough, not eating all their food, not staying focused on things, cause they are a kid etc... Literally yelling habits about every little thing. They are not bad parents, the kid is not a bad kid, actually really smart and super sweet. But the kid starts to pull her hair and bite herself saying she is a bad kid (I must be bad, cause my parents wouldnt yell at me if I wasnt.)
This is stress, poor self esteem and lack of confidence that is *AUTOMATICALLY* developing within the kid, with no bad intention. Just a lack of awareness and proper attention, habits of emotional conditioning being taught. Similar to this, is why a lot of people are at unease with themselves. Even if you are loving parents, be careful. Sticks and stones may break our bones but your words will shape their growing souls, for better or for worse. Then as we grow older we start to contemplate ourselves. Trying to build on a template that was given to us in sections by all the people while we were growing up. A kid doesn't have much of a reason to wonder what might happen to them tomorrow or try to figure out why they are the way they are. A kid doesnt have to try to figure out how to fix or solve their circumstances. They are already at ease with not knowing because they are growing. We don't need to be a kid to be at ease or at peace. We need to be less grown up. Perhaps we have stopped growing, keep on growing without ever being fully grown. No need to know why or how you will grow, just experience it. We will figure out things when needed so stop the NEED to understand anything. Stop interpreting yourself in comparison to others. If you notice something that you are envious of, that is because of interpretation. Find inspiration from it instead and grow towards it, without any mental dialogue about it. Not about how you wish you have it and why it sucks, no dialogue about how or what it must be like, no dialogue about how your life will be better when you get it. When I try to think back to my childhood. I can remember experiences. But that's it! I was a kid growing and just experiencing. A kid has circumstances and an adult has circumstances who worries about them more? Be a person who is growing and just experience, take care of things as they come, not getting ahead of yourself mentally. You may find that we still have this jovial part of us when we are not spending the majority or our time thinking about our circumstances, particularly when we are usually doing things daily that aren't related to them. We just carry it as burden into every moment of our life. Time to let go and be free.

Hi, I know you didn’t ask me, but I’d like to hop in here and answer your question if I can. For me, there were a couple things that helped enormously. First to whatever extent you can, change your environment. That might mean something huge like quitting a job, leaving a relationship, or moving to another city/country. Or it might be as simple as cleaning up your room and getting rid of things you don’t need anymore. That’s the outer environment. You also have to attend to the inner environment, for me that meant taking control of whatever I could about myself… eating better, starting an exercise routine, going to bed earlier, and perhaps most importantly: practicing gratitude. Seriously it only takes a few minutes a day… just write down as many things as you can that you’re thankful for and really let yourself feel that gratitude. It is amazingly powerful. If you can only do one thing, I recommend doing that. And as for all the other things, do what you can and go easy on yourself. You’re doing your best.

Thank you, thank you, for explaining the different types of stress. Physical stress applies to me as I inherited a genetic condition called EDS that effects my joints, making them too hypermobile. I end up with a lot of injuries to my joints and having connective tissue that’s too stretchy has also impacted my heart. I use meditation to help support my body and mind and I also have physical therapy which helps me to build muscles around the joints to help prevent injuries from my loose joints.
It is SO, unbelievably frustrating when people seem to think that these issues are emotional. Like if I rub a magnet on my head I will be healed. That level of misunderstanding is what I mostly encounter.
Thank you for this insightful video which brings everything together, I will rewatch it again later. Physical stress is on the body is real and not everything is emotional such as a car accident, genetic issues such as Down syndrome etc, aging.
Some things really are taxing on the body externally and if people want to know how to better support and encourage people, maybe start by not assuming their issues are all in their thoughts.

Not everyone had a childhood with that experience. This is why long-term childhood trauma is soo damaging!

Yes, I noticed that many people said that they wanted to go back to their childhoods, but mine was no picnic. Never again!

I’m going through a breakup from a man who was abusive mentally & intimidating. I used to do so well. I broke state track records, won art contests, etc. but it all stopped when I got with him & isolated from my family. I just left & at first I wanted to run back. I thought about jealousy. Although financially he wasn’t helping me. However, I been so much happier & it’s only day 4. This video had such an impact on me. During my survival phase I was focused on time so bad. Now I feel I can finally breathe. I literally started to have thyroid problems too for no reason.. I was that stressed. Wow.

@Maseer Ghorab this is very helpful, I never quite looked at it that way. I've been feeling super anxious lately for no apparent reason, but this message really resonated with me. My body is telling me to slow down, stop neglecting the mind/body/spirit connection, and come back to my inner stillness. Yoga and meditation it is!! :)

It's all a matter of your perspective, and this is a prime example of yourself having a disempowering perspective of your own self, and others.
If you had a more "empowering" perspective, you would have immediately thought of how grateful you are to have found this video, for the reason you have the ability to go and work- and fix yourself; before disease and other problems have hit you. This video is a safety net that we're all blessed to have, along with everything else this channel provides (and for FREE)

This one good explanation of how higher emotions and feeling them, such as gratitude, work in your life. I never really got it before I felt it listening to you. Thanks . Intention + elevated emotion = transformation.
