- Hi! I am Lilia, completely local to Hong Kong before moving to Canada in Apr 2022. I luckily had landed a Product Manager role at a European tech company's Toronto office before I left my home city. This video covers my job searching process and the rounds of interviews I have gone through. If you are also considering moving to another country and/or trying hard to find a job similar to the one back home, hopefully this video can help you out a little bit!

Super glad to hear that!
so proud of you!!! 🥰
Hey, Lilia! This video is tremendously valuable. For me, your presentation slides gave me the highest value. It really shows how competent you are in Product Management and how much effort you've put in for the entire interview process. I'm saving your video for future reference.
This video was like a hidden gem I'm so glad that I've stumbled upon. All the best for your future. My dream is to move in a similar career direction as yours.
Hi there! When I was creating this video I went through lots of self doubts like not sure if this would really create any value, but now I’m extremely glad that I did it and I get to connect with people from around the world. Really happy that you find this video helpful and thanks a lot for your very kind words :)
@@thisislilia You shouldn't doubt it even for a second. Instead, please make more videos like this if you can. I know this video didn't get crazy amount of views (which it deserves). But I can assure you that those who came across this one have received a lot of value. You should be proud of yourself.
Many thanks to your insightful video! I’m preparing to relocate to Toronto too, as a PR.
Literally praying to land a product manager job as well.
Your takeaways and how hard you prepare for the interview motivate me a lot ❤
All the best. What NOC did you use to land your PR please?
Thank you for the kind words :) hope the job searching works out in your favour!
@@kevinngaleu1545 NOC 2173 , I got OINP for tech draw
Hi Lilia, I’m also working as a Product Manager and considering relocating to Canada. Your sharing is so inspiring and encouraging! I have learnt a lot from your presentation slides. 😊
Thanks for the kind words, Nichola :) I’m so glad that it helps
🙌🙌
Insightful video, I am also relocating to Canada and waiting to apply for a similar role once i get there, can you share some of the resume components
Hi there, tbh the resume that got me this job really sucks. It was nothing like the Canadian resume format. I think I got lucky because the TAs were Europe based and apparently they didn’t care about resume formats. If you are still interested in taking a look, I can send it over to your email!
Thanks for sharing your experience. Really healthful! As a product manager looking to relocate in Canada. Please What is the NOC for product manager in Canada?
Hi there! Glad that this little sharing was helpful. I believe it’s NOC 20012.
Can we know more about the interview with the other hiring manager 🥺
Hey! It wasn’t anything too different from what I went through in the last few rounds. The hiring manager wanted to know my strengths and concerns as well as the the way I would like to be managed, which I really appreciated coz it really is a good way for both sides to understand if we could easily get along down the road. He also introduced the problem space the team was working on and what his most pressing needs were. I would say a two-way interview like this with full transparency really helped both of us understand whether I would be a fit :)
Hello Lilia, I am so inspired by your video and I would always take my chance and try. Please can I connect with you on Linkedin?
