    Been four months. Took a month overall decompress, and then spent a month traveling. Took a contingent opportunity but working my way back in slowly. Don’t rush it. Some days I feel extremely sad; others I’m extremely grateful. Get your basic needs covered and just be thankful for the slow down. Try to do one thing a day and don’t let other people dictate what you should/shouldn’t be doing.

    Wow, this video was just in the right time for me. Thank you for the important reminder to take time for ourselves without constantly thinking about work or our career. Felt like you're speaking to me 😄 PS: I also love how you filmed the video. Super cool creative framing and a tranquil, relaxing mood. I'm impressed. Keep uploading!

    Europe has strong worker protection law and there is Bloomberg article of difficulty with laying workers off for Google. Being a competent worker means not only being good at one's job, but also seeing the direction and future of company. E.g. the factors told to you like difficulty monetizing product, Toronto expansion not being successful is more like thinking like the owner/leadership.

  • @MRTOMBO
    @MRTOMBO 2 месяца назад

    So this is good. Thanks for the video. What you are learning is what nearly all of us have already gone through. Getting laid off isn't a new phenomenon. And what you are showing is what all of us who are "older" learned ourselves. And just as then, so now, you are showing you are one of the ones facing it so you can step past it. Because, in the end, we CAN NOT allow our lives and emotions to hinge on a job. Because it might be taken away. Our lives are ours, and you have to be prepared to "change cars" if the first one fails. More than once I've been laid off / let go / stopped getting paychecks owed because the company was being sold and the managers weren't telling anyone, and to get those paychecks instead of losing that money owed I had to threaten with a lawyer. It's a kick in the pants. It's demoralizing. But you realize it DOES make you mentally and emotionally stronger so long as you step up, take a breathe, and have confidence in yourself. Like you are doing. Best of luck to you.

    Is it because the property were underpriced when listed to get more offers to create bidding war situation? E.g. 1.2 million house might be 1.4-1.5 million market rate.

    Wow, what a cool insight into the housing market in Toronto. Thank you for sharing it. The houses looked fantastic and I agree with you that the renovation of the older houses gives them a special character. The bathroom with the free standing bathtub looked amazing, although you need the wooden counter top there from one of the last ones. The prices and the offers above asking price are insane though. Good luck. Hope you'll find a nice home soon 🙂

    Hi, Lilia! I’m not sure why RUclips decided to recommend this video to me, but I’m glad it did. I want to say that your video made me smile…not exactly because I’m in a similar situation or feel the same way about my job, but because you come across as extremely genuine and vulnerable when expressing your feelings. You’ve made me take a minute to stop and think about the things that truly make me happy in life…and maybe the things that I have yet to discover that could make me happier, too. This was a beautiful video - thank you! I wish you the best! :)
