Glad I saw this. I had just ordered the lower priced Boblov 1080P camera when I thought to look on youtube for a review. This one was clearly a better choice so I cancelled my order and upgraded to this one. Thank you for the review.
I'm a disabled senior in Colorado where the cops are attacking or killing us. Bought one of these to record THEIR actions, not that the attorneys have had much problem getting the police body cam footage. It's a dang shame in the USA that seniors are seen as fair game for Colorado cops, none ever serve time or are put in "protective" jail areas instead of general pop. In the end, we all go to one place or the other. Given I've already been dead 2 times on the operating table, I know where I will be going back to. God help the corrupt cops, they will serve eternity somewhere. FYI, I have a relative that's a cop, he has morals & ethics. It's not the case with Co. cops. The disabled & seniors in Colorado have NO CIVIL RIGHTS or ANY rights at all.
I just purchased the same model and i would really appreciate if you would go step-by-step on how to use all the buttons and features and also how to install the SD card on the unit.
I opted for the CamPro version. I'll probably be returning it for this model even though it is $50 more for the equivalent. I like that this unit has interchangeable batteries... clip is a bit shorter though... good and bad thing. Also seems like Boblov is more involved with personal body cams than the other company.
I'm recently starting to do full time food Deliveries. I need a body cam Incase a customer try to pull a lie about their order didn't get delivered, so they can scam the system into getting a free meal. I'll have proof on the body cam that it was delivered including a picture of the order, if it's left at the door step both video footage and a picture so I have evidence to show the proof. This Camera is clear and the audio is really good.
Okay. I honestly don't know. It does not say anything about it in the specs, so I would say that it does not, and if it does have some form of antishake, it will be digital and not optical. In my experience, digital stabilization does not work and degrades the quality of the video, so I always turn it off if it does exist. I prefer to stabilize shaky video in post-processing.
From you description, it is hard for me to tell what might be the cause. It is possible that the microphone is damaged. If you just got it, I would get it replaced under warranty.

My Boblov is good for diving as a dash cam and a body cam when walking my dog and other general uses. Cant remove the date and time recording, which is a pain. As a private user its ok but a lot better ones out there.
This is an example of the questions that the review SHOULD have addressed. I have one of these and the clip is really weird. I tried to attach it to my shirt pocket and the pocket of my pants, but the whole camera tilted forward and did not film as intended. The clip seems to be the weak point. The menu system is actually surprisingly decent for a China-made camera.
There are many things I did not address in the video. This was one of my first videos when I started me channel and my goal was to try to keep videos to five minutes in length. I tried to address the most commonly asked questions. To answer every possible question would take hours as the camera has a lot of features.
any help would be greatly appreciated. I was unable to get my Chromebook to load from the USB. Apparently, Chromebook only recognizes FAT32. I ended up plugging into a different laptop and was able to access all videos and pics as normal. I was messing around with "formatting" the drive and clicked on NTFS and my laptop erased and did something (likely formatted the memory on the boblov to NTFS). now I'm unable to get the camera to take pic, video or audio recording.??? I have no idea if there is a setting in menu or a factory reset option or another technical way to "reformat" the camera memory. Please anyone help as I am struggling to resolve the issue and love the camera
Hi. So sorry this has happened to you. There is a way to restore your device to the factory settings, although, I am not sure it will reformat the internal memory. To try this, start up the device and press the Menu button (far left button on the bottom), then press the down button (next button to the right of the menu button) three times to arrive at DEFAULT SETTINGS. Press the Menu button to select it, then the down button again to select the Green Checkmark. Press the Menu button again to REBOOT. I hope this helps.

How do you actually wear this? Surely if you clip it to your shirt it will lean forward and film the ground. And if you clip it to your pocket or belt I suspect the angle would also be less than ideal. I love the idea of this, but just not quite understanding how it would be used.
This device comes with a couple of clips. One is intended to clip vertically, such as on a shirt pocket. The other can attach horizontally, such as on the brim of a hat. When I have used it, I have just hung it on my shirt breast pocket or on a chest strap in the center of my chest. You could also clip it to a waist belt or strap. Obviously, it could do with a much better attachment system, but I think the general idea is to allow the user maximum flexibility in how they chose to use it. Personally, for me, I like head-mounted cameras, but have not yet found a convenient way to attach this to my head. I have tried it on my hat brim, but did not like the camera hanging down in front of my face.
Am I allowed to use this to record the mother of our son whenever I pick up or drop off in a public place just so we can both keep everything thruthful?

Hi. Thank you for the question. My Nothin' But Gadgets channel is not geared around being technically exhaustive. I try to keep my video to around 5 minutes or shorter if at all possible. I mainly focus on demonstrating what the equipment does in a real-life setting, rather than talking about its technical specs. To cover all the technical specs of a camera like this in detail would take a video several hours long, and at the end of the day, all that really matters is how it performs in actual use. So that is what I try to show, is actual use, rather than talking about the technical specs. Thanks again for the question.
On the demo video you can see a hint of rolling shutter phenomenon. But the video or audio are not the weak points of any cheap camera items these days. I would pay more attention to how well thought out the details are, like how intuitive the menus are, whether it is stabile or can crash when you do certain things such as transfer large files, or whether it automatically deletes old material when memory is full, or if it stops working then. Luckily this camera does overwrite automatically (or can at least be configured to do so).
How is that quality compared to a hero 7 black GoPro?. I have a GoPro it's just a battery sucks doesn't last for more than an hour. My question is is the quality of the video just as good as a GoPro?... One more thing does it have a video stabilizer on it?
I do not own a GoPro, so I cannot campare them. I am working on a comparison video with the Aiegis 100 body cam I did a review on last month and will be releasing that in the near future so make sure you check back. The camera doe snot have an stabilization.
I have a question about the push-to-talk feature on the camera. Which brand/model of 2 way radio can be used to connect to the camera to be used as a microphone? Does it have to be a Motorola 2 way radio or where can I find the cable adapters for this feature to used with the camera.
Is the led light internally on for night recording or is it on like as if you can use it like flash light? In other words if you were to record someone in the dark can they see that light turned on?
The camera has three lights for night use. One is IR light for night time recording. This light comes on automatically when the camera is in a dark environment such as I demonstrated in the video. It produces no visible light that can be seen by the human eye, but the IR LED bulbs on the cameras do glow red when it is on. The camera also has a white LED light that can be used for a flashlight or to video with. This light can be activated by pressing the camera button for 3 seconds. The camera also has a red laser pointer. This can be activated by pressing the red button on the opposite side from the power button. I hope this helps.
When I was looking for a body cam, I did see the more expensive ones that will NOT light up or give your audience a clue you're recording. I think it's called covert mode, not sure.

Well, I am not sure as I usually try not to get caught up in technicalities and grammar specifics, as they are generally irrelevant to the conversation. I focus on "Functionality" over technicalities. Word are just words. How something functions, regardless of what words are used to describe it, is what I try to show. In this video, I demonstrate how the camera performs in a dark environment. If that is suitable for your needs, then who cares what the technical terminology is? It works for you and that is all that matters at the end of the day, regardless of what word is used to describe it.
Try doing a reset. Turn the camera on. Press the menu button. Scroll up to Default Setting. Push the menu button again and select OK (Green checkmark). See if that helps.

Sir, how do you delete the files? I have done it at my computer, however, the card is still full, this is what is stated on the Boblov screen. Thank you.
I used to do home inspections myself back in the 90s. Let me clarify what you are saying. Are saying the unit powers down and turns off (while recording), requiring you to press the power button to turn it on again? If this is what you are saying, then that is not normal. I would contact Boblov and request a replacement. If on the other hand, you are saying that the unit records video in 15-minute clips, that is a setting. You can change that setting to 30 minutes. The camera has an auto-shutdown feature that will automatically turn the camera off after a period of time if it is NOT recording. It should not shut down while recording though. It should just keep recording until the card if full or the battery dies. The maximum record time is 30 minutes though, but it should just start a new clip and keep recording once it reaches the end of the 30 minutes. Another thing to consider is that if you have the 32GB unit and you are shooting video at max resolution, you are only going to get 4 hours of record time before your memory fills up.

Sorry, I do not own a Chromebook or know anything about them. My guess is that if they have a USB port and will recognize a USB thumb drive, they will also recognize this camera, but that is just a guess. Wish I could be more helpful.

It is a feature that is supposed to work in conjunction with a 2-radio, and allow you to use the camera as the microphone. Unfortunately, I have never been able to find a compatible cord and radio that will work with it. I think it was an idea that never came to fruition.
In my testing, I have gotten 3 to 4 hours out of a battery. It depends on the quality of the video you are recording as to how long the battery will last. The higher the quality the more it drains the battery.
Yes. Turn the camera on. Go into the menu using the bottom left black button on the back. Use the two middle arrow buttons to scroll up or down to "Volume". Push the menu button again to enter the volume settings. Uses the Up arrow to go up to OFF. Push the menu button to select OFF. Now the camera will be silent. I hope this helps.
Nothin' But Gadgets also is this device as good as GoPro Max? I know GoPro doesn’t have flash for night video recording & it’s much more expensive. Like to hear your thoughts as far as pros & cons in comparison.
@@letmec08 The camera has a tiny indicator light on the top that is green when not recording and red when recording. It is really small about the size of the tip of a ball-point pen, but you can see it if you are looking for it. It could easily be covered with a tiny piece of electrical tape.
@@letmec08 I do not own a GoPro Max, so I can't really speak from personal experience, but here is my advice. If your goal is daytime water-sports, I would go for something like the GoPro Max. The Body Camera is not waterproof and cannot be submerged in water. It is only Rain Resistant, not waterproof. If your goal is nighttime recording for security purposes, like a security guard, EMT, Firefighter , or a night bike rider, then I would go with a Body Camer like this one.
It depends on the resolution you are recording in The higher quality, the shorter the battery life because higher qualities use more power to record. In my testing, I get around three hours of record time at the highest recording quality on a single battery. The unit comes with two batteries and a dual charging station, so you could get around 6 hours with both batteries at the highest recording quality.
So if the built in memory is full what do you do let’s say you are out of town? Can you transfer file not sure if it has wifi feature or you can transfer files with wifi or you need a pc computer to transfer files so you can use it again? Or is is better to get a body camera that uses sd?
This is a body cam, as such, it provides no way to delete files while in the field. It comes in a 32GB and a 64BG model. Once that memory is full, you can't only download and erase it on a computer. If this is a concern, I would definitely go with a model that uses a removable SD card.

The issue is that a lot of people only have a smartphone and this device was made for professionals with actual computers, so it does not work easily with smartphones.

Sorry, I didn't think of it at the time. I should have showed that too. To take videos and image files off the camera, you simply need to contact that camera to you PC using the provided USB cable, or any USB mini cable. The camera will appear as an external hard drive and you can copy the files from it to you PC. Hope this helps.

So I just received one show on the video I just took you can't hear volume at the right tone it's a high pitch sound how can I change that

How is the audio, if you want to record a band or a reahersal?
As body cams go, the mic is pretty decent. However, I do not think it would be great for recording band music.

This is a pretty old product. I am sure Boblov has made improvements in the last five years.
Should have demnstrated the clip. Does it really flip up all the way? Does it rotate 360 degrees? How strong is it?

Only the newer models have an SD card slot. This model does not have one. It only has internal storage.

Personally, for me, I like head-mounted cameras, but have not yet found a convenient way to attach this to my head. I have tried it on my hat brim, but did not like the camera hanging down in front of my face.

Hi. Thank you for the question. My Nothin' But Gadgets channel is not geared around being technically exhaustive. I try to keep my video to around 5 minutes or shorter if at all possible. I mainly focus on demonstrating what the equipment does in a real-life setting, rather than talking about its technical specs. To cover all the technical specs of a camera like this in detail would take a video several hours long, and at the end of the day, all that really matters is how it performs in actual use. So that is what I try to show, is actual use, rather than talking about the technical specs.

On the demo video you can see a hint of rolling shutter phenomenon. But the video or audio are not the weak points of any cheap camera items these days. I would pay more attention to how well thought out the details are, like how intuitive the menus are, whether it is stabile or can crash when you do certain things such as transfer large files, or whether it automatically deletes old material when memory is full, or if it stops working then. Luckily this camera does overwrite automatically (or can at least be configured to do so).
How is that quality compared to a hero 7 black GoPro?. I have a GoPro it's just a battery sucks doesn't last for more than an hour. My question is is the quality of the video just as good as a GoPro?...
One more thing does it have a video stabilizer on it?
I do not own a GoPro, so I cannot campare them. I am working on a comparison video with the Aiegis 100 body cam I did a review on last month and will be releasing that in the near future so make sure you check back. The camera doe snot have an stabilization.

It has a very sensitive microphone that is on by default.

Is the led light internally on for night recording or is it on like as if you can use it like flash light? In other words if you were to record someone in the dark can they see that light turned on?
The camera has three lights for night use.
One is IR light for night time recording. This light comes on automatically when the camera is in a dark environment such as I demonstrated in the video. It produces no visible light that can be seen by the human eye, but the IR LED bulbs on the cameras do glow red when it is on.
The camera also has a white LED light that can be used for a flashlight or to video with. This light can be activated by pressing the camera button for 3 seconds.
The camera also has a red laser pointer. This can be activated by pressing the red button on the opposite side from the power button.

When I was looking for a body cam, I did see the more expensive ones that will NOT light up or give your audience a clue you're recording. I think it's called covert mode, not sure.

Well, I am not sure as I usually try not to get caught up in technicalities and grammar specifics, as they are generally irrelevant to the conversation. I focus on "Functionality" over technicalities. Word are just words. How something functions, regardless of what words are used to describe it, is what I try to show. In this video, I demonstrate how the camera performs in a dark environment. If that is suitable for your needs, then who cares what the technical terminology is? It works for you and that is all that matters at the end of the day, regardless of what word is used to describe it.

Try doing a reset. Turn the camera on. Press the menu button. Scroll up to Default Setting. Push the menu button again and select OK (Green checkmark). See if that helps.

It shuts off about every 15 min. Is this a setting I'm missing? I do home inspections and need it to run several hours uninterrupted.
I used to do home inspections myself back in the 90s. Let me clarify what you are saying. Are saying the unit powers down and turns off (while recording), requiring you to press the power button to turn it on again? If this is what you are saying, then that is not normal. I would contact Boblov and request a replacement. If on the other hand, you are saying that the unit records video in 15-minute clips, that is a setting. You can change that setting to 30 minutes. The camera has an auto-shutdown feature that will automatically turn the camera off after a period of time if it is NOT recording. It should not shut down while recording though. It should just keep recording until the card if full or the battery dies. The maximum record time is 30 minutes though, but it should just start a new clip and keep recording once it reaches the end of the 30 minutes.
Another thing to consider is that if you have the 32GB unit and you are shooting video at max resolution, you are only going to get 4 hours of record time before your memory fills up.

Sorry, I do not own a Chromebook or know anything about them. My guess is that if they have a USB port and will recognize a USB thumb drive, they will also recognize this camera, but that is just a guess. Wish I could be more helpful.

It is a feature that is supposed to work in conjunction with a 2-radio, and allow you to use the camera as the microphone. Unfortunately, I have never been able to find a compatible cord and radio that will work with it. I think it was an idea that never came to fruition.

In my testing, I have gotten 3 to 4 hours out of a battery. It depends on the quality of the video you are recording as to how long the battery will last. The higher the quality the more it drains the battery.

Can you silently turn on or off on the device so it doesn’t beep?
Yes. Turn the camera on. Go into the menu using the bottom left black button on the back. Use the two middle arrow buttons to scroll up or down to "Volume". Push the menu button again to enter the volume settings. Uses the Up arrow to go up to OFF. Push the menu button to select OFF. Now the camera will be silent.

@@letmec08 The camera has a tiny indicator light on the top that is green when not recording and red when recording. It is really small about the size of the tip of a ball-point pen, but you can see it if you are looking for it. It could easily be covered with a tiny piece of electrical tape.
@@letmec08 I do not own a GoPro Max, so I can't really speak from personal experience, but here is my advice. If your goal is daytime water-sports, I would go for something like the GoPro Max. The Body Camera is not waterproof and cannot be submerged in water. It is only Rain Resistant, not waterproof.
If your goal is nighttime recording for security purposes, like a security guard, EMT, Firefighter , or a night bike rider, then I would go with a Body Camer like this one.

It depends on the resolution you are recording in The higher quality, the shorter the battery life because higher qualities use more power to record. In my testing, I get around three hours of record time at the highest recording quality on a single battery. The unit comes with two batteries and a dual charging station, so you could get around 6 hours with both batteries at the highest recording quality.

So if the built in memory is full what do you do let’s say you are out of town? Can you transfer file not sure if it has wifi feature or you can transfer files with wifi or you need a pc computer to transfer files so you can use it again? Or is is better to get a body camera that uses sd?
This is a body cam, as such, it provides no way to delete files while in the field. It comes in a 32GB and a 64BG model. Once that memory is full, you can't only download and erase it on a computer. If this is a concern, I would definitely go with a model that uses a removable SD card.

There are chargers that double as a spy camera like this one: amzn.to/375jmf8. Here is a small camera that claims night vision: amzn.to/2XBYcCz. All these are pretty cheap options and may do the trick.

Data transfer as simple as connecting the device to a PC with the provided USB cord box in the box. The issue is that a lot of people only have a smartphone and this device was made for professionals with actual computers, so it does not work easily with smartphones.

The only artificial light is coming from the camera. What you see in the reflection on the glass door are the IR lights on the Boblov.
Y didn’t u add any information on extracting video 🤦🏿♂️ from the camera this is the most important part any details on retrieving video footage

To take videos and image files off the camera, you simply need to contact that camera to you PC using the provided USB cable, or any USB mini cable. The camera will appear as an external hard drive and you can copy the files from it to you PC. Hope this helps.
