We've been somewhat curious about body cams, so when Rexing approached us to take a look at their Rexing P1 Police Body Cam we were up to the task. You really do have to separate this from an action cam or even a dashcam. The Rexing P1 Police Body Cam is designed to capture the moment. The help document the events that are happening in front of you. This camera doesn't have the quality of modern-day action cams and really shouldn't be used as such. The Rexing P1 Police Body Cam is really a camera that you can put on, capture a full day of recording and have documented proof of anything good or bad that may have happened. In that regards, I think it does a pretty good job. You just have to be aware of why you are buying it. Anyone else use a body cam for work or for safety? What do you think of the Rexing P1 Police Body Cam?

The curved clip is a shoulder mount so you can attach it to your tac vest or police shirt shoulder strap.

The curved clip is intended to strap to your shoulder, as some "tactical" shirts have shoulder straps.
Thank you for this video, I just got this body cam 2 days ago and when I attached the small clip to it, I could not take it apart from the cam, but now that I watched this video of yours, I should be able to take the small clip apart from the camera.

so I got one of these cameras or body cams because of this video I cannot get the footage off from it what am I doing wrong?
I can definitely see the use and importance for a cam like this. And for those that need or require something like an all-day body cam, this seems like a pretty good option. For those looking at a day to day camera or an action cam replacement, look somewhere else. That's not what this was designed for.

Does this camera limit the length of your videos? I would like one that records constantly without limiting videos to 20 minutes.

Quality of video is great for dealing with people
Easy to use and set-up
I really feel it was a good purchase I feel a lot safer using the body cam instead of my phone if there are problems during my shift
I have found in the past if I pull my phone out especially when dealing with a person in distress that this action can some times escalate the situation but with the body cam it's there it's turned on and it's recording no problems

This has been very helpful, tyfs. :). I was thinking about this model because it's suggested as one of the better ones consumers can buy, but I would have been really frustrated at the lack of functionality as an action cam. I'd just like to have a small, hands-free cam to wear while I am out and about as a visually impaired person. Using it for b roll, and sharing the way vehicles drive along our road when children or other visually impaired people are using it as intended. My phone's not an option as I need the batter and processing power to be available for navigation. and as a phone.

it keeps disconnecting from my computer when i plug in. how do keep it connected to my computer to download the videos and images?
I've been partial to units with removable batteries, and removable storage. Very hard to find. but having both would render, as moot, any concerns about capacity and longevity. With built in non-removable batteries, when the batteries die, and they will eventually stop holding a charge, the unit then becomes useless. And when it comes to storage, at higher resolutions, 1GB gets used up really quickly. As a commercial operator who runs recordings much of the day, in case of fraud, I may find out a day later that I need a video from two days ago. It's much easier to find an SD card from two days ago, as opposed to a video file that was overwritten. But I can see why this Rexing is a top contender on the market. Thanks for the vid.
What body camera do you recommend?
First clip is for the shoulder mount their vests have spots for it so does mine second clip is chest mount
How you do loop recoding. Do I need to have a computer to ad the sitting any one knows my Camra it say it’s full
I wonder if the curved mystery mount is meant to go on the shoulder and the little hook snags on a tactical shirt's integrated shoulder strap.

@@gregtoope I have 3 body cams w/ the same mount. It goes on the dress shirt shoulder where your insignia would go. I find it works well on my messenger bag strap and sits on my chest. My staff find the mount hard to use and it sits sideways on their bags. It needs a swivel to be effective for the non police crowd.

Yes
Bodycam are the eyes of the Sun, the best witness to have as evidence. Carrying a bodycam as protection is fundamental around public where anything can happen, and aside from its perfect memory, the awareness of carrying one keeps your good behavior in check.
This is a Body Cam that looks like it would be good for it's intended purpose. A longer recording time might be something to look at as most police shifts are 10 hours. Stability is pretty much a must have though. Especially for police work as any video used from an incident will be picked apart frame by frame and you would want the best results when doing that.
The long clip is probably designed to be used with body armour in addition to a shirt.
I guess I'll need to get some body armour to test! 😆
Yes, correct, even need 4G for live streaming.
I hitted the reset button and now the record button does not work. I general I would not recommend it.. too much trouble.
Does this camera fit to the military jump helmet?
Our armed security agents use this on duty. Our company swears by them. We use the uniform magnet mount which is awesome. It’s helpful for a smaller hometown security company to be able get these the price point makes outfitting every agent easier. Plus good quality product.
The long clip I believe it’s used for your rearview mirror keep in mind it could be used as a car came as well

Thinking of buy this, but not sure if the quality is worth it, the night vision doesn't look all that great to be honest, but I definitely need something considered my field of work
Yeah I think for the price it’s ok. Big plus is that it records ALL day. Which is great. Enough quality to give you documented proof if something happens.
I recommend the Huawei EC310 4k EIS body cam , world's 1st 4k body worn camera with good video quality like go pro

I checked the manual, and it looks like there's no option to just keep recording. You can only record for up to 30 minutes until you have to tell it to record again. This is a deal-breaker.

I'm a photographer and teach. We shoot models and so forth and I like a bodycam to confirm that I did not make any moves on the talent.

So here is my question: If I'm sitting in a van with my hand on the wheel and this thing mounted on my chest (and assuming I mounted it at the appropriate place on my chest, either high, low or medium) COULD IT! record what my hands are doing while I drive? and like constantly for 8 or 9 hours?
If this can do THAT, it is perfect for me. I just want to demonstrate the truth about my driving behavior and dispute the erroneous measurements by my companies mobile phone.

I use this body camera for when I visit my clients pets. While it is nice and lightweight I am having a hard time connecting it to my computer to review and save footage :/ I’ve tried multiple things.

Nice product review and footage is ok but it's not action camera. A new version I'd make video quality A bit better and more stable. I'd would make this camera more hidden where peaple wouldn't notice it. It does the job better in day time. You think this camera could be more hidden on you because the other person may not like it being filmed. This would be ideal for peaple living in a bad area where there are street gangs etc. Did you know over here in the UK the Police are scared of kids. I'd consider getting one because over here the knife crime is shocking especially in London. Even in parts of Edinburgh you dare not go to. Hopefully there be a newer version in near future.
definitely not designed to be hidden. It's for police and law enforcement which need to have everything recorded. Plus when people see a camera there is a better chance that they will possibly behave as they know that they are being filmed. But yes, hopefully, there is a new version that has a bit better quality.
@Cruisn Canada, I think this Body Cam should have a way of recording and saved direct to the cloud, should in case someone steal the camera while recording.
I can say this........ANYONE with ILL INTENT..........does NOT LIKE THAT CAMERA!! When i walk in a store everyone parts way LIKE i was carrying a shotgun !!!😂😂😂 i feel MUCH SAFER NOW!!! AND ITS LEGAL !!! Safest ive EVER FELT

These are for anyone , more over..especially for citizens to record their interactions with the police and other government people ...with today’s government out of control , these should be worn by us, more so then THEM
the resolution is terrible.
A camera won't keep you safe in a bad neighborhood, however when somebody violates your rights...a camera doesn't lie. And if you're wearing a visible camera, all the little nurse Ratcheds out there will behave better.

This is not a good camera. It would have been if it was 2012 maybe, not for 2020 and beyond. I don't know why they don't make better cameras now, It's almost as if the market for bodycams is dead, everyone is using phones.

Thats not really its purpose. its purpose is to record a full days worth of footage on a single charge. Not many cameras out there that can actually do that.
