I agree with your comment about Air India not making sure that all equipment used for passengers' entertainment work and probably has been reported before but yes guess Air India doesn't bother with it too much. And for Pete's sake, wash the airplane better or wash it if they don't, when the sun was shining on your side after landing that window was so dirty you could hardly see anything.
No offense, but Air India is a disgrace to indian society. Honestly with Tata taking over Air India, I don't see changes in international travel. People keep saying it takes time but I feel like it is going to be the same after 10 years like in this state. Especially with Boeing having problems. How is it possible german carriers can maintain a very old A330-300 or A340-300 in good condition? I feel indians aren't capable of giving respect to materials and therfore we can clearly see how poer sockets and co. are destroyed in a relatively young B787-8. It just feel bad honestly. I think indian firms like Air India have to change their mindset if they want to make an impact and not buying new fleets.
It’s cuz air india was under the govt and they didn’t care. Air India ordered a bunch of new planes. We already see a change as their new a350 has arrived.
@@gplays1206 waiting since one year and still no changes from Air india. After merger I am seeing no changes in terms of maintanance and refurbishment. Especially from the newer leased planes. Biggest problem is Vistara which is having a negive impact with this merger.
@@gplays1206 Yeah but the prolem I am stating is its maintanace. The objective value doen't exist. Vistara was slightly better in it but still bad in comparaison with Lufthansa, Swiss , Singapore Airlines etc.
I agree that current planes are in bad shape, but repairs don’t happen overnight. And if airline grounds its all aircrafts for retrofitting, already loss making company will be a sinkhole of money. Air India has been leasing new planes, recently nought A350, retrofitting will start by this year end, then we can expect to see changes.

These old planes were ruined by the poor management and money frauds by congress😢 now tata has takenover and in 5-6 years this airline will transform
