Thank you!! My grandmother gave me her sewing machine at the beginning of COVID. I’ve come back to this video a few times to remember exactly how to do it.
Thank God for this video. Been a while since I dragged out the old Singer Sewing machine and forgot how to thread the bobbin. Got it working, now can sew some homemade masks. Yipee!
@@anduagalidia Good Luck! I find it therapeutic actually, since it brings back old memories of sewing projects. The masks aren't tedious, and forgiving for mistakes as my tension setting is causing some threading issues. But working through it.
Thank you for the instructional video. I just got a Singer Touch and Sew #648 and could not understand how the bobbin got wound...and now I do! In gratitude!
I had a problem with my lower thread as well. It was extremely loose and I couldn't figure out how to fix it. I took it to my daughter's great grandmother and she tightened the little screws 🪛 around the metal plate and fixed it right up. She said that sometimes the screws get loose and you have to tighten it. Also, she advised me to place a piece of scrap fabric down on the needle, before I fold down my sewing machine into the table to prevent that from happening often. Don't know if we have the same problem, had to share it just in case. 😁 Blessings. ✨
hey! i have a question, recently i picked up one of these with a missing presser foot. so i ordered one but i didnt realize the screw to connect it didnt come with it. is there somewhere i could buy this piece?
Help! The part where he says “back side of the disk, up and up” is what I can’t figure out and his hand is covering that part up. I have everything else figured out and the instructions show everything else. This part is not shown in the book, on the inside of the machine or in this video.
I successfully threaded the bobbin thanks to your quick and very easy to follow instructions.. but now I can’t get it to hook and pull the thread through.. the timer seems fine. Any suggestions?
I have a Singer Series 600 Machine. I am attempting to thread the bobbin. However, my machine keeps running. How can I get it to stop running? This was my mothers machine and I am new to sewing.
i've watched 4 videos now and every one of them not showing the angle from the right where you put the thread between the tension discs, plus hand is blocking a lot of it.
Did a good job except your hands are in the way on some parts. So I can't see exactly what you did. I still can't get it after watching 10 or more times.

@@mrs.pamelar.martindbacastl911 I learned to sew on this model back in the 60’s. Just couldn’t remember how to do the bobbin…🙄 lol!

My mom’s 600 E bobbin button seems to be locked! Is there a way to disengage it and push it again?
Yes, it should. Does it need oil?
I just got this machine. What bobbin do you use is their a number. I dont have a foot petal only knee
I'm not sure but go to singer.com and download a label or call. They will tell.you. have your model info readily available.
Because there are several different ones.
how to adjust the thread at the lower side?
how do I get the bobbin thread tight? My bobbin is very loose and gets caught in the needle thread.
Gently and slightly tighten the screws in the bobbin and bobbin case one at a time and checking to see if that fixes the problem.
My question is what do you do if the bobbin doesn't hook to the thread after that
Try again.
i cant see parts of it cause of the camera angle, where along the disc do i thread it???
in between them. Make sure your presser foot is down when you thread it so the discs will be open. Let me know if this helps.

Yes, check sewingpartsonline.com, Etsy or Singer.com

You will then catch that squirrely looking wire loop
Then up to the thread lever, back down. Let me know if that doesn't help.
How do I get the needle to come up so I can put the thread through
@@Mvgdalenaa__ turn your hand wheel
Good afternoon, can you tell me where I can find a bobine case for my 600E
I would try Etsy.

Try re treading the machine. That often works for me. Hope this helps!
AsiaBeijing that timing is not right if that bobbin not picking up it is of and needs to be timed.very easy to do
@@cheesebeef4902how do I time it properly
Unfortunately the camera is off so much I couldn't tell how to connect the bobbin.
Sorry. Try watching again.

It should stop once you let go of you foot pedal. Is your foot pedal stuck?
Ohhhhhh that’s scary
Hey i still dont understand how the bobbin thread works bc of the angle but its good video

How can I put the thread below????
Karina you did not pay attention to the video my friend
Sorry I don't understand your question. Put the bobbinin??

Keep practicing
Ok and then what?
Sew!
Obviously if you are instructing something so basic as threading a sewing machine why are you going so fast. I can’t keep up.
So sorry. I understand. Try watching it several times.
